Touring the Tower of Terror and other Ghoulish Delights! Sept 13 TR | FINALx2 4/17!!!

Wow, MK was especially gorgeous that night, fab photos! Always nice when you make it there a bit before you expect.

Iced PSLs! Nice work, was it still hot out that night? I like the Happy anniversary message written on your cups :goodvibes

Thanks so much! It was absolutely perfect that night.

Iced PSLs are the way to go. I was pretty warm, but nothing like during the day. I tend to drink iced drinks unless it's really cold out. And yeah, I loved that she put that on our cups, I thought it was adorable.

So I knew I'd love this update as soon as I saw the words "holy crap"! :lmao: it's totally something I say--so much so that my 3 year old repeated it, which actually made me want to laugh but I put my mommy face on and tried to explain why it wasn't appropriate for her to say. Kids! :rolleyes2

I adore all your sunset and Mickey pumpkin pics, but I am in LOVE with the balloon pictures! I just love those!!

WL looks like a place my DH would like to stay. Can't wait to see more of it!

Hahaha, I can't help it, I say that a lot! Or Holy canoli, or holy poop.. I could go on here. :rotfl: I love that your 3 year old says it though, hahaha.

Aw thanks! I'm a little obsessed with taking photos and video of Disney balloons! They always make me happy.

WL is a fabulous resort! I'm looking forward to chatting more about it!

Ahhhh hearing the MSEP music on the bus is always one of my favorite things!!!! I haven’t even gotten to WL pictures and Im dying, I know they’re gonna be so great and I’m gonna be all “well crap, now I’ve got to stay there too!” Yup…nailed it…need to stay there!

Oh my god those sunset photos are UNBELIEVABLE!! Aw man, we were so close to each other! We were headed over to Chef Mickey’s as you guys were pulling into MK. Oh thank goodness they stay the same card, I always felt so cool with a golden ticket I would hate to have a boring one lol!

Oh dear god that cupcake, I knew I should have gotten it. Also, I am deeply disappointed that I never had a pumpkin spice while I was down there, I was just always so full, or had things to do, or margarita’s to drink instead! Lol. Next fall!

I’m dying, your photos of Fall on Main Street are seriously perfect, I wish I could capture that feeling and essence of it and you do it wonderfully, I wish I was there right nowwwww!

I know, it was making me super happy! I can't remember what else came on, but I know it made me a happy lady! Wilderness Lodge is gorgeous and we were so happy to be checking in there!

Thanks!! And that's too funny we were so nearby each other! Yeah, I was happy they kept them the same card, except now knowing when we go to Disneyland having to reactivate them, that'll be kind of a pain. I'm hoping it's a relatively easy thing to take care of though.

That cupcake was SO good. And coffee is Matt's favorite thing in the world, haha, so we had a LOT of it this trip!

Aw thanks so much! I was happy with how they turned out. I wish I was back there right now, too, wah.

Great start to the TR! Random side note, is your countdown click for disneyland broken? I've noticed it say 59 days for a couple days now. :confused3

Thanks so much! And yeah, I have NO idea why but it will sometimes show the most random days on it! I thought maybe it was just me/my computer, but then I hear this from you.. yet on my computer, it's displaying the right amount of days, 36! So weird.

Just wanted to pop in and agree with everyone else how amazing your pictures are! :thumbsup2
Your room at WL looks wonderful! The resort itself is just beautiful!
MK= Home sweet Home = Perfection.....I miss it but so happy to see it next month!
I love all the fall decorations so so so much!!:goodvibes

Thanks so so much!

We were already big fans of Wilderness Lodge, it's such an amazing resort!

MK really is home sweet home... I miss it, but know we'll be back again for sure next year is helpful. Plus Disneyland soon, so yay! Helps with the Post Disney Depression.

Fall in Disney World is a beautiful time to be there.. I mean the weather isn't fall-y, but the decorations are wonderful!

Your photos are OMG AMAZING! I mean, I was so excited when you were posting pics during your trip, but these are on another level! I'm seriously homesick just looking at them -- so beautiful! :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

Also, I'm surprised the ME driver didn't turning off the DVD player and turning in on again. That's the #1 go-to for all IT solutions according to every help desk IT guy I've ever spoken to (though, honestly, I'm pretty sure that "turn it off and turn it on" would be better received on my end if I hadn't ALREADY DONE THAT 14 TIMES BEFORE I CALLED FOR HELP!)! Either that or you could go the route I normally want to go and just throw it out the window. :thumbsup2

Pumpkin spice lattes just seem so perfect for the moment you were in (judging by the pictures, of course). Fall is my ABSOLUTE favorite season and the combination of pumpkin, Disney and fall just sets my heart aflutter.

Daw thank you! Most of what I posted during the trip were just from my phone, haha, but thank you!

Yeah, I think because we were driving, his only solution was to keep smacking the thing in hopes of it working properly, hahaha. He was distracted enough as it was! I think he wanted to throw it out the window, I just laughed a lot.

PSLs are the best! That was definitely not the last one we had on this trip! It's so perfect though, especially when it's all fally and perfect.

Awesome pics! :)

Thank you!

Hmmm, maybe the front row was reserved for you and you just didn't know it! :scratchin

Yeah, I'd say that's a PERFECT way to head to the first park of the trip. :boat:

I so agree Dani. Seeing the castle for the first time each trip is when it all really sets in. It's so strange though that right after that initial delight, I feel like I've never left.

That is so cute with the writing on your cups!!!! I would totally be taking those cups home with me.

So So glad you got to experience the amazing-ness of Main Street at Halloween right off the bat. I LOVED it and I can't wait to see it again.

Hahaha, maybe! I wish I'd know, I'd have sat up there instead!

I love riding the boat to MK! It's up there for being my favorite mode of transportation!

And yeah, it's weird how you see the castle and it feels like no time has passed! Really weird!

I was definitely tempted to bring home those cups with me, I won't lie!!

Yeah, it was beautiful... I was a huge fan of it!

Gorgeous sunset! Great photos! They are all so beautiful. Magic Kingdom at dusk is just the best!

Thank you so much! MK at dusk really is the best.

Love..love...loving your TR!!!! Main Street is so piddy!!!!!

Thanks so much! Main Street really is gorgeous.

As always, faboo shots Dani! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Halloween decorations at MK! Makes me want to go back in the fall. :thumbsup2

Thanks Karen!! I am a huge fan of them all! I love visiting the parks at different times of year, and this was already a huge hit for me!

I'm in!

Your photos are beautiful. Isn't dusk the most perfect time to be in the MK? (Or one of the most perfect times, anyway. Right away in the morning's pretty perfect, too. So is park closing. But I still think I like dusk the best!)

I'm really curious to hear about your stay at VWL...I stayed at WL once in January, and all those boat rides got a little too chilly for me! But I think I'd probably love it at a different time of year.

Looking forward to more!

Awesome, so happy to have you here! Dusk is the best time to be there... But I agree, park opening is awesome, and park closing is amazing, so basically, MK is just amazing all the time, hahaha.. though I'd say afternoon is probably my least favorite. Hottest and crowdest time of the day!

I really loved the boat rides from WL to MK. But it was also very warm there during our trip, which I will get into, haha, so I love the nice breeze while on the boat!!

Thanks again for joining!

Nothing like love bug splats and a cruddy DVD player to add to the excitement!

I love WL so much, and I'm so glad to see the inside of a DVC unit there again! I feel like VWL really gets skipped over.

Those sunset pictures from the boat ride are unreal! :lovestruc

I'm glad you thought it was a little sad to not be feeding a ticket in... I definitely go those feels as well.

How cute that the CM wrote a little anniversary message on there! I hope that's only the beginning of the magic! I love how happy Matt looks to be at MK.

Adventureland, you say? Hmm.. I'm going with POTC.

The bug splats were gross, but the broken DVD player was funnier than anything else! It was better than our other bus driver from January who told us we could take a nap, hahaha.

WL is such a great resort. VWL definitely doesn't get a ton of love, which is weird, because the Villas building is SO neat!

Thanks, we were lucky with such a great sunset to start the trip!

I was definitely sad, but we got used to it. I did like the fun little noise it made when it was happy that my card/fingerprint worked, hahaha.

Yeah, that CM was adorable! And I think Matt was just beyond elated to be in MK AND have his coffee, hahaha.

POTC you say?! Well, I'd say that's a good guess, haha.

Hi, Dani!

My name is Linda, and I've not had the pleasure of reading any of your previous trip reports (but I will now!). However, I can see from just the first few posts that you have the same LURV of Disney that many of us have. I am excited to follow along on your report and enjoy some of those amazing pics! :thumbsup2

I've been following several other TR writers (and I notice many of the same folks following you), and I'm truly psyched to get to hear about your latest adventure!

Carry on.....popcorn::

:surfweb:

Hi Linda! I'm really happy you've decided to read along with this TR, and yeah, I'd say my love for Disney is infinite, haha. :thumbsup2

I hope you enjoy this TR, and definitely feel free to check out my other ones, too! :goodvibes

What BEAUTIFUL dusk shots at MK!! Amazing first day! :goodvibes

Thank you so much! We were starting this off on the right foot, that's for sure!

I'm here! I'm here! I always love your trip reports (and instagram posts)! :) Can't wait to see how things unfold!

YAY! I'm glad you're here!! It's going to be QUITE the trip report, I promise!

love VWL, and peanut butter and Chocolate cupcakes! Great start to the trip!

Aw thank you! I'm a big fan of both of those things, so needless to say, I was really happy!

Bubbly CMs at the ME counter are the best! How odd that the first row of seats were reserved!? :confused3 Did anyone come sit in them? Maybe the driver just didn't want people sitting too close to him! :rotfl2:

Ugh the lovebugs. They were EVERYWHERE!

AH the SAME THING happened to the ME video on our bus! I almost forgot about that. I was a little sad about it at the time. The volume would be like non-existant and then the driver would turn it up and it would start working again so it was like blasting at us. :lmao:

The Wilderness Lodge is extremely gorgeous! Wow that is an amazing sunset and your pictures are SO pretty. I can't wait for another TR full of them!

Oh goodness that peanut butter cupcake looks amazing! I'm so sad that I never had one! Love the anniversary message on your cups. I'm pretty excited about the addition of Starbucks to the Disney parks.

I so agree, the CMs can really start things off right! And no, no one sat in them! It was just weird, haha.

Those lovebugs were definitely all over, but fortunately didn't bother us too much!

HAHA maybe it was the same bug!! We were right under the screen so we could hear it kind of, but I was so happy I didn't even care.

WL is beautiful! And thank you so much!

That Peanut Butter cupcake was to die for. You must try it if they have it again!! You won't regret it! Starbucks in Epcot and MK made us some happy campers!

Love the decorations & Starbucks - we are headed to DLR in a couple days and that's what I'm most excited about there (ESPECIALLY a snickerdoodle/caramel/pumpkin treat at BTMBBQ)

Oh man, I love all of the treats in the parks... and we got to try a LOT of new things because we didn't have the DDP. I was a big fan. I want to try a LOT of holiday treats this year in Disneyland!!

Hi Dani! Great updates. I can't believe your video didn't work on the bus. I love watching it in the way in. Wilderness Lodge looks so beautiful. What is the new La Bolange at Starbucks? We don't have that in the east coast stores yet. (I worked for starbucks for 7 years so just curious). OMG, I'm so excited to see MK with the fall decorations. Reading your update just made me a bit more excited.:banana: I've never been in OCT before. 13 days!!! -Amanda

Thank you! And yeah, fortunately we were right under the speaker, so we could hear it, but it was funny it just wasn't working.

WL is awesome! And be happy you don't have La Boulange yet. It's their new set of pastries and they're not very good. They're overpriced and the calories are just way high for what you get. I prefer the old pastries. :(

MK in the Fall is amazing, you are going to have the BEST trip!!

HOW DID I NOT KNOW YOU STARTED THIS ALREADY?!

adding to the compliment train -- your pictures are seriously perfect.
I can't get over them. every time I read an update, I always kick myself for not lugging my camera around.

OH MY GOD THE LOVE BUGS.
all I can think about is how much they grossed out Matt.

bahahahahha

Hahaha I have no idea! I just started it though, so no big deal!

Thanks though, I was happy with my photos that night! Unfortunately the quality of my photos isn't that great the entire trip for a variety of reasons. If I could go back, I wouldn't have switched to my kit lens at all during the trip, except maybe for fireworks video... that wasn't the best call, but I'm glad I at least learned from that!

Hahaha I forgot how much he hated them. I usually hate bugs but they didn't really bother me that much for some reason!

Posting for the first time ever to say how excited I am for this TR! This August I went to WDW for the first time since 2005 and I read a bunch of TRs in preparation, and yours were my favorites. And now I have another TR to read to tide me over until my next trip!

Aw yay! I'm glad you're here and you're so excited!! That makes me so happy! This TR is going to be epic, so I'm glad you're here for the long haul! :goodvibes

Hi, I just found your report. I'm in!!! :) Your pictures are beautiful. Of my gosh that sunset and Main St./the castle at dusk- genuinely put a smile on my face. Soooo that cupcake looked awesome and the starbucks. Yeah it was pretty much all awesome. LOL! Waiting for more...

Awesome, glad you're here!! And thank you so much! We were having a great start to our evening... and luckily, I will be posting another update here tomorrow, YAY!

I will hanging on your every word, I have been very excited for this trip report. I enjoyed your last one especially the pictures. Your skills must have grown even more because the ones on here have been just perfect. I love the dusky saturation and the excitement that shows through:banana:

I haven't actually started reading...yet! But wanted to get it on my subscribed list.

I just said this on Twitter, but your pictures are SO AMAZING!!! I need to buy whatever camera you use and then teach myself how to take pictures with it, because I can't deal with the amateur-ness of my pictures with my little point and shoot! :rotfl2:

Anyway, isn't the Wilderness Lodge the best? Seriously, there is just something about that place that screams home to me. If I could stay there, AKL and the Beach Club on every trip, I'd be the happiest person alive! The room in the villa is really cute!

Yay MK!!! Wow, that sunset...I miss Disney sunsets! :sad1:

Again, I love all of your pictures, between the lights on Main Street and the sunset, it looks like everything is glowing, it's perfect! I honestly do not know if I've ever been in MK at that time of day before...

file_zpse59baad4.jpg

Can I just tell you how obsessed with this picture I am??? :cool1: I'm seriously thinking of making it the background on my computer, and I haven't changed the background in like, 2 years because I have the most perfect picture of the castle on there and I can't bring myself to change it...but this picture might do it! :thumbsup2

Ahh, Starbucks in MK! Probably going to be my first stop whenever I get there again too...I love it!

Chapter 4: Splash Mountain is officially back... and it's BEAUTIFUL.
Day One: September 11th 2013

As we left off, we were heading to Adventureland for our first ride of the trip...

file_zps5bbac584.jpg

If you guessed Pirates, you're good, because that's exactly where we were headed (though historically, this tends to be an attraction we head to first when in Magic Kingdom, haha).

file_zpsc5eec31e.jpg

The park was beyond quiet, and we were both happy as we walked up to the queue and saw a 5 minute wait posted.

file_zpscd7bd44e.jpg

Well, the 5 minutes was really just the time it took to walk to our boat. In fact, we nearly had the boat to ourselves, until another family snuck on with us.

file_zps4ed50429.jpg

file_zps2056b55b.jpg

file_zps0d11cd5d.jpg

I decided to forgo video on this ride and try to get a few photos, as seen above... I even got a few decent ones at the end, too.

file_zps3a844a7b.jpg

file_zps7257d12c.jpg

There was a back up near Jack, but I can never get a really solid photo of him. I'm sure if I had a better camera and lens, that'd help, but I'm not ready to drop that much money on a lens at the moment. Alas, I have to settle for this.

file_zpsa75b0205.jpg

After exiting Pirates, we headed towards Splash Mountain. We noticed the BTMRR was around a 20 minute wait (which really isn't even that bad), but we decide to just get FPs for it anyway. We then headed back to Splash, because it was my number one must-do for this night!

This was HUGE deal to me because I hadn't been on Splash Mountain since January 2012! It was closed last January for the usual refurb, and I'd heard from so many people about how much nicer it looked now.

file_zpse74b6a16.jpg

Lucky for us, the park was seriously empty, so we walked right on up to our log.

file_zps091c886b.jpg

Oh my GOSH Splash Mountain was so beautiful! It was so nice to see everything working, everything looking fresh and new, and the Laughing Place?! I mean, last time I'd seen it, none of the water effects were working. This time it was like going on a new ride! And Matt even had a good time because we were seated in the very back of the log, his favorite place to be so he can avoid getting soaked.

I was just so happy to be back and know that I could go on Splash Mountain whenever I wanted to this trip. That is a definitely plus for going in September, I'll tell you that much!

We didn't have our PhotoPass+ card yet, so no ride photos... yet!

We left Splash and still had time left for our Big Thunder FPs to be up, so we of course made our way over towards the Haunted Mansion! As we walked through Frontierland, I had to stop and take a quick (albeit crappy-quality phone) photo of how not busy it was! You seriously would have thought that the park had closed at 8pm, even though it was open until 10 that night.

file_zpsefe35091.jpg

The scent of delicious Churros lured Matt into getting a tasty Churro, his favorite Disney snack.

file_zps337a7fa2.jpg

file_zpsa614edc0.jpg

Matt enjoyed his Churro as we walked over to the Haunted Mansion, and we both kept commenting on how amazing it was that we were finally here, AND how amazing it was that the park was so quiet. It just seemed like things were totally lining up for us that night.

Prior to this trip, we both kept joking about how we were going to melt because of the heat and humidity. And don't get me wrong, it was definitely warm and humid, but it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be, which was nice! It helped that it was night time and the sun wasn't out, but it was a good way to ease ourselves into the Florida heat.

When we got to the Haunted Mansion, it had a 10 minute wait posted...

file_zps34ba514a.jpg

But it wasn't anything like a 10 minute wait, as there was nobody around.

file_zpsb3b50049.jpg

It was kind of creepy, actually... but in a great way.

I have to say, though, I really don't like how the new FastPass+ line goes through the old non-cemetery path, and non-FP+ is now forced to go through the cemetery. This night it didn't really bother me much, but I did find it slightly annoying because the cemetery really slows things down with people stopping, and you don't want to be seen as a jerk for going around them. Nothing terrible since the cemetery is always fun to walk through, but sometimes you just want to go right to the door, and not having that option anymore is kind of a bummer.

We got inside very quickly, and I could see the happiness on Matt's face of being back there. Seeing Cinderella Castle is home for me, but for Matt, it's the Haunted Mansion.

file_zps9d29bfa5.jpg

After a lovely ride on Matt's favorite, we stepped outside and Wishes was happening! We thought it'd be a good time to go and visit the Tangled area, which I hadn't seen yet.

file_zpsd16a5fc6.jpg

file_zpsf5e8c46f.jpg

file_zpsc20e7fa1.jpg

Seeing the Tangled area while Wishes was happening for the first time was absolutely amazing, and I won't forget that. It was so perfect! I really couldn't believe how awesome this night was going, as it just seemed like everything kept working out perfectly.

We needed to use our Big Thunder Fast Passes, so we headed back over... where we found a whopping 10 minute wait. We still used them, even though it was totally unnecessary.

file_zpsc5060400.jpg

We had a blast on Big Thunder! It's absolutely the best at night, and I just couldn't get over how we were walking onto rides!

After Big Thunder, we decided to make our way over to Tomorrowland to go on Buzz Lightyear!

file_zps1442289b.jpg

Chapter 5: Mickey Mouse called and left us a message... No big deal.
Day One: September 11th, 2013

We walked through the hub and the castle was looking absolutely stunning.

file_zps2c5a6531.jpg

As we walked past, we heard a group chanting. We immediately panicked thinking the Tour Groups were back, but they weren't your typical tour group, thankfully. I still don't understand why the groups insist on chanting/singing though.

Anyway, we finally made it to Tomorrowland!

file_zps2086482e.jpg

file_zps6ba2b013.jpg

Buzz was a complete walk-on, which was delightful. I'd studied up on high-scoring targets, as I was DETERMINED to get the max score on this trip.

I tried my best, and ended up getting my highest score to date:

file_zpsd185fe1d.jpg

Matt did pretty well, too!

file_zps44622403.jpg

We left Buzz and headed back towards the hub, where I got totally sucked into Celebrate the Magic, even though we were trying to get out of the park before it closed, hahaha. I couldn't help it!

file_zps9fc2c47a.jpg

Matt finally dragged me away and down Main Street so we could head out of the park!

file_zpsa0933747.jpg

We stopped by the Emporium really quickly but didn't find anything we wanted to buy quite yet, then headed out!

I stopped to take a photo of this wonderful sign, which I just thought was too adorable.

file_zpsca8151f8.jpg

We walked over to the boat area, and we lucked out that a boat was waiting right there! We had to sit separated from each other, but we were just happy that we had such good luck.

As soon as we got back, we went to Roaring Fork because we both needed something to eat that was more substantial than just a churro. Unfortunately, they weren't making sandwiches anymore, so we both decided to get burgers and french fries.

We also picked up our Rapid Refillable mugs, but I noticed that the machines that were supposed to scan your mug didn't seem to be up and running for them... As long as I was able to get something to drink, I was happy.

We also both got desserts, Matt going with the S'more cupcake, while I went with the Magic Cookie Bar.

I unfortunately didn't get photos of our burgers, but they were just your typical Disney burgers (tasty since there is a toppings bar in the dining area!)..

But I DID get photos of our desserts!

Matt's cupcake:

file_zpsdaf5a1bc.jpg

file_zps4ae3f391.jpg

He said it was good, but it was definitely a bit dry. I think if he'd eaten it earlier in the day, it would have been ten times better, but since it was late, I'm sure it was a bit drier than normal.

My Magic Cookie Bar, on the other hand...

file_zps67e200d7.jpg

This was delicious! Extremely rich though, and since I was so full from dinner, I was only able to take three bites before I wrapped it up and decided to save it for later. But trust me, this thing was GOOD. Matt liked it but thought it was too sweet for him.

We finished up and headed back to our room, but decided to stop along the way to take a few photos and explore the Villas area!

file_zps58f0c5c4.jpg

file_zpsccf4cd29.jpg

We walked around a bit and found this cozy area with chairs and tables and checkerboards, rocking chairs in front of a fire... It was so quiet but so nice! I can totally understand why people would love to stay here around Christmas time... Matt really loved the chairs, too.

file_zpsdd3b7ae3.jpg

file_zps2cc18b8c.jpg

This next photo reminded me of the Paradise Inn up on Mount Rainier.

file_zps6786b401.jpg

They have photos just like this up there, showing the history of the lodge. And funny story about that...

We were up at the Paradise Inn in August for a weekend away, and were sitting by the fire in the main lodge area. A man and his son walked in, and the man exclaimed "WOW! This really is JUST like the Wilderness Lodge in Disney World!" Matt and I gave each other a knowing look, because someone else noticed it, too!

Anyway, I LOVED the design of the elevators. I know that sounds silly, but I love the little details, and these doors were so neat!

file_zps7b598c80.jpg

We finally went back up to our room, and I took some time out to really look at everything and get more photos of the room.

I loved this little guy sitting on our kitchenette!

file_zps90a81ee6.jpg

file_zps01655b5c.jpg

Loved the framing around this mirror:

file_zps876778fd.jpg

Matt hanging out on the couch, talking to Bruce I think (he wanted to check in and make sure everything was okay at home).

file_zpsed837ce1.jpg

Our lovely bathroom...

file_zpsb111be0c.jpg

After I took photos, Matt was on the phone with Bruce when I noticed the message button blinking on our room phone. I thought this was odd, but decided to check it, in case something was wrong.

Instead, I was delightfully surprised when I heard Mickey and Minnie Mouse wishing us a Happy Anniversary!! It was seriously the cutest thing EVER. We'd never had that happen during a Disney trip before, so this just made me so happy!

I recorded a bit of it on my phone and posted it on instagram, if you want to see what it sounded like: http://instagram.com/p/eJQOKrn8gY/

I unpacked a bit more, though we didn't fully unpack since we were going to move resorts in a few days. I have to admit, I didn't really like this part of doing a split stay. Not unpacking my bags entirely was making me feel a little unsettled in the room, but I unpacked what I thought I'd need for 4 nights. I took a shower, which was glorious after a long day of traveling and then hanging out in the parks, then Matt did, as well.

Of course, we couldn't go to bed without watching a little bit of Stacey! We fell asleep at around midnight, both beyond happy to be back home.

Tomorrow is a day full of firsts, and going back to one of our other favorite parks...

Subbing. I always enjoy reading your trip reports. We've been to WDW twice in the fall and love, love, love the decorations. I followed you along on instagram. Looking forward to the full trip report.

I will hanging on your every word, I have been very excited for this trip report. I enjoyed your last one especially the pictures. Your skills must have grown even more because the ones on here have been just perfect. I love the dusky saturation and the excitement that shows through:banana:

Oh yay! So excited that you're on the DISboards now, Brandon! Thanks so much, that is a huge compliment coming from you, since I basically just stare at your beautiful photos in all of Jenn's updates, haha. Glad you're here. :goodvibes

I haven't actually started reading...yet! But wanted to get it on my subscribed list.

Well don't worry, I haven't gotten too far yet anyway!! Plus, when you finally can read, you'll have plenty of reading material, haha.

*snippin' my photo to save space, haha*

Can I just tell you how obsessed with this picture I am??? :cool1: I'm seriously thinking of making it the background on my computer, and I haven't changed the background in like, 2 years because I have the most perfect picture of the castle on there and I can't bring myself to change it...but this picture might do it! :thumbsup2

Ahh, Starbucks in MK! Probably going to be my first stop whenever I get there again too...I love it!

Daw thank you so much!! I use a Nikon D5100, but honestly, you could get away with a D3100 and be happy with that, too. That one is a pretty good intro camera. Or a D3200! I'm still learning how to use mine, but I figure practice is what will make photos get better!

I really was loving Wilderness Lodge so far, granted, we hadn't done a whole lot there yet, but it is such a lovely resort. I was a big fan of our room at the Villas!

Disney sunsets are the best. It's like they make them extra magical on purpose so you miss them even more, ugh.

That time period in MK is seriously my favorite. It's just such a different light that is cast down Main Street/the castle, I love it.

And thank you!! I was loving taking photos of the balloons! If you really do decide you want a higher res version of that photo, let me know and I'll send you the bigger file so it displays better on your comptuer, haha.. but thank you so much, that's a huge compliment!

That Starbucks was seriously one of our favorite things... and the fact that the Epcot one had just opened was even better. :thumbsup2

Subbing. I always enjoy reading your trip reports. We've been to WDW twice in the fall and love, love, love the decorations. I followed you along on instagram. Looking forward to the full trip report.

Awesome, happy to have you here!! WDW in the fall was shaping up to be amazing. I hope you enjoy my TR, thanks again for joining!! :goodvibes

Stop with these pictures!! You are seriously killing me with the gorgeousness!! I ADORE the picture of the lanterns and fireworks by rapunzels tower and must have stared at the tomorrow land sign for at least 5 minutes. I love the parks at night, all lit up....it's only the best thing ever!

You two had an awesome first night out! The park looked so empty and how great was hopping right on things? That's a fabulous night!

Wilderness Lodge is jut so beautiful. I never had a desire to stay there because I wasn't sure I would like the "rustic" nature, but after stepping inside, and your pictures, it's gorgeous! Totally worth a visit.

How fabulous was it walking onto all those rides! That Wednesday morning, we had knocked out all of fantasyland (old and new) before noon! I love the low crowds of September!

Mmm, I'm ready to drive over to WL right now to get the magic cookie bar or the s'more cupcake... Or both!:rotfl2:

CALLED IT! Although I do have a teensy tiny advantage, haha.

OH MY GOSH I FORGOT YOU HAD YET TO SEE POST-REFURB SPLASH! I'm so excited! Didn't it look so amazing? I was excited to see it looking so fresh and clean!

Okay, so those two attractions and now Matt is getting a churro? Yep, y'all are in your happy place. Hope HM and Wishes are coming up because that would be an amazing night.
I swear I typed that before scrolling down past the churro pics!

Tomorrowland at night, EEEEEE! That's a pretty bangin' score on Buzz too!

Leaving so soon??

Okay I don't like coconut, but that looks pretty darn tasty! We make them at work sometimes, but the sprinkles and pixie dust make that one look way better!

I am once again loving these VWL pics! I love the little lobby/foyer there.

Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Night time...just perfect.

Yeah, I'm not big on the split stays anymore. I mean, I am glad I've done them and tried out more resorts, and I definitely couldn't afford some of the nicer places for longer than a few days...but I was glad to only have one night in a different place this trip. I didn't realize how much I'd missed the ease of that.

I'm really enjoying reading about this time before we arrived especially, because I think with all the throwing my back out/how the heck am I gonna get things packed/can I see a doctor drama right before our trip, I totally had no idea what you were up to. Or if I did know, it just didn't sink in.

I'm so glad that you loved the September crowds and that the heat wasn't too much for you. Otherwise, I might have felt a little guilty!;)

And Brandon is right, your pictures are just PERFECT. I feel like I'm there, and that makes me a very happy girl.

September crowds are awesome! You & Matt got so much done with no waits!

Congrats on getting your highest score on Buzz! :woohoo: I never do all that great on those rides no matter what I do.

Love all of your WL pictures. That resort is gorgeous!

I love the black and white photos of Pirates!

CHURROS. They are my everything.

I think I'm going to try and see Wishes from the Tangled area this summer if I can...it just looks fantastic!

Those are some GORGEOUS elevators! The Disney difference!

Also, I have Matt's "It's kind of fun to do the impossible" shirt and it's the comfiest shirt I own :thumbsup2

There is almost nothing better than an empty MK, is there?

I can't wait to ride the refurbished Splash. It feels like it's been so long...my last 4 trips I was either pregnant or carrying a baby, so I haven't been on it in forever! And the few times before that, the Laughing Place water was definitely out...it will be so nice to see it again eventually!

Sounds like you guys really had an absolutely perfect first night.

Dont have a lot of time before work, but enough!

Great updates!! Glad you got on so many rides and got to warm up to the heat! Yay HM! Of course it's home to him!!!

Yay tangled area! I need to get better pictures at night, I really want to watch wishes from over there!

Amazing pcitures of everything as per usual!

Love the resort! Yay!

I love that they do those calls now, Mom and Anne got a birthday one and I was super excited, I thought it was because I'd arranged the disney florist thing for them, but it was actually just a general thing which is awesome!
