Do not accept a room in Alligator Bayou or you risk an old unrefurbished room with no fridge. We had requested Newer Magnolia Bend due to daughter's asthma and DGD sinus surgery coming up. They insisted there were none available even though we had medical need noted on reservation. We were all coughing within 3 min of going in a room in building 27. No fridge either. I called and told manager it absolutely would not do and they miraculously had a beautiful new room in magnolia bend.

We will be arriving in 2 weeks and will like to get some cases of water shipped ahead to riverside. Does anyone know which websites sell cases of water at a reasonable shipping cost?

we just ordered some from Nestle. It comes in 24 pack and was around $9 after shipping.

Hey Andre - any official updates on the POR refrigerators...Im coming down 10/24 and have a bunch of refrigerated items to care for. Just seeing where it stands for the resort. Ill be in RR Pool view. thanks

We check in on Sunday for our first time at POR. I know I have a sinus infection due to an MRI. I am going to the doctor Friday to get treatment. My only concern is the fridge situation since we ordered large quantities of chocolate milk for my son. Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Hope you feel better!!! We arrive on Sunday too!!! :)

Is there somewhere I can see pics of the food court area?

Also, how is the food at Boatwright's?

We have been back from POR for 9 days and even though this was our 3rd time here, it was our first time eating at Boatwrights. What a treat! I have to say it was one of the best table service meals we've ever had in WDW. I had the new short ribs: amazing. My husband loved the blakened mahi and my kids ate their meals in record time. Even with a food allergy we felt well taken care of and Chef Wes was really wonderful. Even if we don't stay at POR next time, we agree we will eat at Boatwrights again! Hope that helps!

All of the AB rooms were refurbished last year.

Well, I stand corrected. The faded worn looking carpet and bedspreads, bed posts of rough looking wood, non-working refrigerator, and the musty, dusty odor must all be part of the intentional "shabby chic" decor. If that is others preference, that's fine. It was not for us, and I was grateful that we were at least given what we three girls wanted, paid for and had dreamed of for 8 months--Magnolia Bend, Garden View. The rest of our stay was perfectly lovely.

I just pointed out that your statement about AB rooms being old and not refurbished was wrong, no need to lash out at me because you didn't like your room. By the way, all rooms at WDW have had a non working refrigerator at some point this year. It wasn't just your room and it wasn't just at POR AB. Unless you booked and paid for a Royal Guest Room you aren't guaranteed a room in Magnolia Bend. That's just a request.

......

Does anyone have any pics of these glow in the dark sliders for the magic bands?

Thanks

I had my wife take a few shots of my daughters 2013 slider from POR and her Duffy BandIts that we bought at Fulton's. One is taken in the dark to try to show the glow-in-the-dark slider.

Ohhh, I like those 2013 sliders! So Fultons is selling the MB bandits? Good to know. I thought maybe I'd have to wait to get to the parks to find them.:thumbsup2

Thankyou so very much for sharing pictures!!!:thumbsup2

If you are going to throw a tissy fit, at least do it with knowledge.

Alligator Bayou has a back woods New Orleans Bayou feel. I'm sorry you didn't like it.

However, the Garden View booking does not guarantee you either Alligator Bayou or Magnolia Bend, only a view of the Garden.

I'm sorry your still steaming over this long after the gracious staff met your demand.
