I see the speculation of when the 2015 cruise itineraries will be announced is November 2013 but only for the 1st half of 2015. I'm going on the Dec 28, 2013-Jan.4, 2014 cruise and hoping to book a late summer 2015 cruise while on board to take advantage of the 10% discount and $200 per cabin onboard credit. If they haven't announced it yet do I book a "dummy" cruise while on the cruise so I can lock in the discount and then switch to the cruise I really want when they announce it?

I may be remembering incorrectly, but wasn't it DCL's habit to release future itineraries in October? And last year was kind of an outlier in that not only were they late but they also did not release the full year as in the past.

Of course that may be explained by the fact that they now have a much more complicated sailing schedule with essentially two wandering ships in addition to their accustomed routes.

I pulled these dates from the opening day threads and a search for the later ones. They weren't tracked before the CC levels distinguished the different opening dates for different levels.

I can confirm that initial 2013 sail dates were released on October 18, 2011. I don't have enough experience to say that October was common before that.

Do it, that is what we did this past May, booked acruise onboard for 2104 that we are switching to a 2015 date when they are announced. All the credits and discounts move with the reservation.
