We are heading to the World for our annual trip. It will be my wife Renee and my 2 girls Ashley and Maddie.

We will be there in October for the Food & Wine Festival where I do intend to drink around the World! We will be staying at the Boardwalk Villas which is going to be awesome since it's so close to EPCOT and DHS. While we are there, we will be attending MNSSHP which the entire family is excited about! And to make it all more magical, my youngest will turn 6 while we are there. So we are celebrating her Bday at CRT and we are celebrating my oldest DD's Bday (which was September) at BOG.

While we are there, we have a few friends whose trips will overlap with ours. We are hoping for good weather and great times!

Semi-live! I'm going to try and update daily but not sure how it's going to go yet. I do promise that it will be finished no later than 10 days after we freshen.

I'm here. Semi live is a good idea. I always try to at least post a picture everyday on my PTR's. It doesn't take too long and it can be a fun teaser. :thumbsup2

Sounds like we have identical plans. We have been going in the fall for a number of years now, and love the F&W fest. Nothing better in my book. Food is good, and the portions are perfect because you can sample quite a few different things throughout the course of the day. I too, plan to enjoy some adult beverages around the world. The craft station was really nice last year, lots of different beers to try.

We also are doing the MNSSHP party, I believe for the fourth time, you cant beat it. Great parade for the kids, and the park is fairly empty and most rides you get on with little wait. Better value than a daily park ticket in my book.

We also have friends coming in mid-week to share a day or two with us. The only difference is no birthday celebrations, and I hope to get a round of golf in while my girls hang at the pool. Good weather please!!!!

Have a great trip!

Following along! :)
Better buckle up. This could get crazy after I start filling up my "beverage passport" at the F&W Festival.

I am actually getting anxious about the F&W Festival. There are so many options that I'm worried I'm going to miss out. I'm the guy that gets done with something like this and feel like, "Boy I wish I'd known that before I had gone there."

And I'm a planner. So I'm either at Disney World or planning the next trip to Disney World. Yet it never ceases to amaze me that I learn something new with each trip.

It's kind of like watching Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail...you find something new each time you watch.

No golf in my plans yet. but as my kids get older, I'm going to try and plan a trip with my brother's family (they are DVC, too.). Ditch everyone and get a couple rounds in with him.

I only have to deal with my wife's, "This is a family trip. Put your phone away." as we are waiting in line as if there is some magical moment that we're supposed to be sharing while someone else's unruly child climbs all over the railings like a spider monkey and is bumping into me.

So while I get to do some updates on the fly, I'm going to try and summarize things daily in my TR posts.
*Note to self: don't send DW link to TR as I bash her.

Suitcases are officially out of the attic and ready for packing. DW is off tomorrow, so things should be getting into high gear very shortly.

Subbing;

Planning for F&W next year for my 50th :scared:
It's actually the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, or Colombus Day for you guys:rolleyes:
I was hoping to go that weekend so I could actually be there for the BIG day, but now worried that it will be crazy busy, and maybe I should postpone 'till the next weekend.
We own at BWV, so only one more month to decide before I need to book.
I was hoping to do the trip with a bunch of girl friends, but we all know how hard it is to convince people who are not DVC, that it is necessary to book at 11 months out to get BWV, during F&W.
At the very least it will be DH and I.....first trip without kids;)

Looking forward to your report.

Patiently waiting at the airport. Smooth arrival and flight. A god start to the trip.

We arrived at MCO around 11am and got to BWV around 12:30 pm. We had done the online check-in and a very nice cm greeted and assisted us immediately. This was all good...it would eventually go south from here. At this juncture, we were all a bit tired and hungry but very excited by the ambiance of the boardwalk. We stopped at the Boardwalk Bakery and it didn't disappoint. DW and I split a '''tomato mozzarella sandwich while the girls enjoyed cinnamon rolls and grapes. From here, it went down hill. We didn't get checked in until after 4pm an I never got a text. I'm pretty sure that our room had been ready but they never activated it on our magic bands. Disney failed epically on the customer service side today. 3 different mix ups with our magic bands, KTTK and they still have my daughter's card..I will def seek out a supervisor tomorrow.

We did have a nice meal with friends at Cape May Cafe I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood but was underwhelmed by the other food. Upward and onward, for tomorrow will be a magical day.

Figment....

Not Figment....

My soon to be 6 year old clued me into who Stuffy was. But not until after I berated her to only realize that I was wrong!

Sorry to here about the check in problems. I'm wondering if this new system is even too overwhelming for Disney. They'll get it figured out. Still, it is great to be in the happiest place on earth and it was good to see that clown mouth pool again. Enjoy the trip.

Hope you got everything worked out and the rest of the vacation goes smooth. Great pictures!!

I hear you, and you will miss something, just too much at the F&W fest to try everything! But it is such a great day, we love EPCOT.

I plan as well, we have our days and off days planned. Probably the reason I get to golf on this trip is that my DW & DD love spending time at the pool. This vacation we wanted to relax some, so they wanted 3 days off, and 4 days of parks. Fine with me, so I will get a round or two of golf in while the girls spend the day at the pool. Works for all of us :thumbsup2 And, when I am done, I will meet them for a swim and then off to whatever evening plans we have.

I have an itinerary for each day, and my wife who is not a planner is happy I do it.

We try to do something new each trip, but we have found things that we enjoy so much, it is hard to fit everything in. Last year my daughter mentioned mini-golf, so we are going to do that this year. One of our favorite things is to take a bus over to the Boardwalk (but I see you are staying there, nice!) or Beach Club and spend a few hours in the evening over there. We get ice cream, and they always have a magic show or something going on. I recommend this, it is a lot of fun. I guess there are some new places to eat on the boardwalk as well, looking forward to trying them.

We do the same thing, once we are back from vacation, we start planning the next. This year, my wife is going back in January (girls trip) and they are doing the Disney Marathon. I plan to go down in March and spend some time with my Dad (who has a winter home about 40 minutes outside Orlando) and we do some spring training baseball and golf together. I may reserve one night in Disney and go to a Braves game.

Enjoy your trip!!! We leave in 6 days!

I hope all was worked out with your wristbands. Pictures are great! I hope you all have a great time!

We got the magic back on track! :goodvibes
DHS to start the day. A beautiful morning walk.

It was definitely a crazy busy day. We're already rethinking future weekend plans.maybe do DTD or AM. Despite the crowd, we did well.TS Mania 2x, Star Tours 2x, Rocking Rollercoaster, Animation Academy and some yummy food.

[Starring Rolls for a late morning snack. We got 2 different cupcakes...peanut butter chocolate and Butterfinger. Both were really good but the newcomer one got the nod from all of us.
