Hello everyone! The goof troops are at it again, and this time we have a new addition. The new addition is my niece and this will be her first cruise. Now for the introductions:
I am Toria here on the boards. I exercise and sleep by day and x-ray and Cat Scan by night. This will be my 5th cruise on the Dream and I am just as excited as the first time. Next up is DH, he is my military man.

He is a fun loving clown at heart. He can make people laugh with his antics and be down right serious the next (with the kids).
Next up is DS, he is my new teenager and I miss him being my baby. They all have to grow up. He loves to play any gaming system he gets his hands on. He is a clown as well he will pick up where his dad leaves off.

My DD is next, this is my Oh so serious one. The CM's called her Sugar Rush from Wreck It Ralph because of the all the different colored beads in her hair during our last December cruise. Crush in AP was also intrigued by her hair during dinner, she got to interact with him and that was great.

She talks faster than a jet taking off ( what did you say). She is a reserved child that takes in her surroundings before she opens up. She gets that from me ( gotta make sure you're not crazy, lol). This trip is a surprise for them and partly because my daughter will start the how many day thing everyday. My Disney niece will be joining us and I can not wait to watch her experience her first cruise. I don't get to see her that often because she lives in a different state. I do hope she loves it and does not get motion sickness. That was the who and now the why: DH and I took a trip on the Dream back in June, so now it is the kids turn for some fun. Besides that their summer was spent in school. My DD was in the 3rd grade at the time and they offered free summer enrichment courses, so we took it. No idle mind here let's keep those skills in use. DS had summer because of poor choices that he decided to make and I will leave it at that. He pulled it together and finished with a 92% in math. So this trip is mostly for them.We took DH out for his bday and it came out that we are going on a cruise next month. They were more than excited to find out that they would have a connecting room.

Now for the when: October 20th on the Dream
I am looking forward to the Halloween festivities and now I can pick out a costume with DD.

Our vacation will start on the 19th at approximately 4am for me. I want to be on I-10 @ 5:30 am.
DH is notorious for making Wal-Mart runs before we hit the highway. The past 4 trips down with him has included a stop. It drives me crazy when he has had the day before to take care of those odds and ends.
We will be spending the night at the military resort across the street from the Poly called The Shades of Green. The theming of this resort is that of a lodge. We plan on going to Sea World that day since we get in free, then to DTD to shop and eat at Earl of Sandwich.

Well I have started to pack the suitcases and I photographed all the clothes that I packed. This will keep me from having to unpack to match up shoes and jewelry. I have even started to pack for DS, because he require brand new khakis and Polo shirts. He has grown like a weed. He turned big 13 yesterday and DH and I are getting old. Whatever I will never age, because in my mind I am still in my 20's. My grey hair begs to differ. I once tried to dye and lo and behold it started breaking off. It's as if mother nature was saying, " Unless you want to be bald you better embrace me". Let's just say that I have not dyed it again. Ok back to packing, DS needs new everything so I get to partake in my favorite sport of SHOPPING! DH will pack the night before and the morning that we are due to leave. That drives me crazy, then he will look at me crazy when he has forgotten something.

Sounds like it's going to be a fun cruise! Looking forward to reading a TR!

And do you mind if I ask how long you've been an xray tech? I am in the medical field and have looked into that, but it's not easy to get into schools up here in the northeast. Just curious if it's like that everywhere.

I have been at it for 3 years now. I was lucky number 13 on the non selectee list. 12 people turned it down and I got in the program. I transferred in to the college with a 4.0 average, but after they calculated to their GPA standards I was down to a 3.5 which knocked me out of an automatic slot. Nevertheless I got in my first time applying to the program.

I booked last week and the cruise documents came in yesterday, that was quick. I purchased DS a pair of khakis to see if they would fit, since we have moved up to adult sizes. I purchased the smallest pair at the gap, which is size 29x30. The length fit perfectly, but the waist was a little big. That's exactly what they make belts for. I have also started to make different Halloween themed items to put on our doors. I went to Michael's and purchased a Perler set. Those little beads are hard to work with but I won't let them get the best of me. One is a medium sized pumpkin and the other is a witch.

I just need to figure out how to personalize them so no one takes them. I will post pictures of progress and I plan on making more. I also plan on taking some images off line and having Staples put them on card stock and laminating them. I still have some door signs from our very first cruise in 2011. They have held up pretty well.

I am so excited that we received our Disney gift card from Chase. I was not expecting to be able to use it for this cruise. Nothing like a little pixie dust. I also am taking part in a large yard sale, hopefully I can make a couple of hundred from that. Then our spending money would be taken care of.

What a beautiful family (love those smiles)! You guys are going to have so much fun! I really like your Halloween decorations, super cute!

I'm ready to set sail with you and your fabulous family! We don't sail until Halloween next year so I will have to have Dis medicine to keep me sane. Lolol

Thanks for joining in and we are going to make this cruise different from the others we have taken. The Christmas cruise we took last December was great. The decorations were beautiful and I can only imagine how the Halloween decorations will look. I will post some of the pictures here from the Christmas cruise.

I hope you have a great time on your cruise! We are hoping to do a Halloween cruise next year and I'm looking forward to seeing what all a Halloween cruise involves.

Thank you! I have a feeling that it is going to be great. If I could get DH to do a costume I would be happier. That however is not going to happen for now. DD told me last night that she wanted to be a BANANA :rotfl2::rotfl2
I was at a loss for words. Who's kid wants to be a fruit for for Halloween, lol?

Well the last time I was here I said that I was doing a yard sale. I came home with $140.00. I thought that was good for 3 hours. That money went right into the cruise pot. I have also purchased DS two new pair of khakis and I packed 4 shirts for dinner. He will be in those clothes for an hour tops. He is that kid that eats his food fast so that he can get back to the kids club. He will head back to the room to change first. I have gone back to Michael's to pick up some other things to make for our door. He are some pics. I plan on gluing magnets to the back of them.

We purchased DD costume tonight and she decided on Pikachu from Pokemon. I did not pick a costume for myself yet. DH was like"absolutely not" for himself. DS wanted to buy some crazy one piece costume that I would not let him get. Trust me not appropriate for my kid.

You have a beautiful family!! Your DD's hair is awesome, wish I was game enough to do that with my own hair. This will be our first cruise, but I'm sure your niece is going to have a wonderful time sailing with you!!:goodvibes

Can't wait to be celebrating Halloween, its not celebrated here in Australia, so this will be our first Halloween . So far me and my sister have a few different costumes to choose from, one shall be for the cruise and they other for a MNSSHP after the cruise.

Who seriously wants to go as a banana for Halloween??:confused3 Is it her favourite fruit? Maybe your DH could wear a pirate bandana or something to take part in the festivities on Halloween night?? Are you dressing up?

Yay for another $140 for the cruise fund!!:woohoo: Me and my sister just started selling a few bits and pieces on eBay that we had collected over the year that we just didn't need, and it helped us pay off the cruise!

Hope tropical storm Karen dies down and doesn't knock our your power!!

Can't wait to read more about your family and your plans for the cruise!

Thank you for your kind words! She will be running around again with those beads in her hair. It is a easy hair do, so that I don't have to fool with her hair during vacation.

Pikachu is pretty stinking adorable, I wouldn't mind having him as a pet! Can't wait to see pictures of her in her costume, I bet she's precious!

When we tried her costume on I must admit that it was pretty darn cute. She even wants some yellow shoes to match. #toomuchyellow :rotfl:
