I need a room with a microwave!!!

Which rooms have microwaves?? I know the villas do. Does the swan and dolphin have them? Any others? Do the deluxe resorts?

All studios, 1BR & 2BR villas have microwaves in them. Maybe family suites at the All Stars & AoA too? Not sure on those. You may be able to request them at the front desk, I'm sure someone here will know. I do know that we requested one at S/D & were told they do not give them out due to insurance regulations.

2) No other WDW resort has them, even as paid options/rentals.
3) If your resort has a food court, go down and use the public microwave.
4) Resort Room microwaves were stopped years ago,
. . . you used to be able to request them
. . . for a while thy were free, than there was a nightly charge
. . . people broke them too often
. . . constant movement would make them leak, which is bad for pacemakers
. . . people don't know how to use them and destroy them with metal objects
5) WDW determined there aren't guests who MUST have a microwave
. . . maybe for convenience
. . . but, not out of necessity for in-room

That is not correct. Family suites have microwaves.

We were at the Poly last week and requested a microwave. It was brought to our room immediately. Same thing at Beach Club last year.

Hmmm interesting, do you think I'd have to call the resort to ask ahead of time? Or could I just call the Disney reservation number? I'd want to know ahead of time because that determines if I stay there or not..

There is no guarantee that you will get a microwave if you request one. The resorts have a limited number for guest rooms and are usually given for medical needs if needed. We got one at POR but were told no guarantee.

I called mousekeeping when we arrived in our room, we had the microwave within minutes. You could call ahead of time and have that noted on your reservation, I'm not sure how that works, but as I said, we have never had a problem getting one.

CSR has microwaves on request, first come, first served. Just ask at check-in. I have never heard of them running out of them. You cannot request them in advance.

Every Disney resort has a microwave and toaster in their food court or quick service location for guest use.

If you absolutely, positively need one in your room, you can be certain of getting one if you stay in any room at any DVC resort, or a family suite at AsMu or AoA. I'm not sure about the Fort Wilderness cabins, anyone know if they have microwaves?

At any other resort, there is a possibility that you might be able to get one for your room, but no guarantee.

When I said that we had requested and received microwaves in our room at Poly and BC, I was referring to your original question about deluxe resorts having microwaves, I have never stayed at CSR so I don't know the answer to this.

Yes, FW cabins also have microwaves.

We stayed at CSR this past May, and got one right away when we requested it. But they are first come, first served.
