Does anyone know if they are still hosting a Character Breakfast on the Wonder?

When we were on the repo cruise from Vancouver to LA there was no character breakfast. We were told it was because it was a 5 night cruise. We are booked for Alaska Jun 30 2014 and can not get an answer on if they will be offering it then.

7 night or longer cruises on the Wonder and Magic still have a Character Breakfast.

As PP noted it's on cruises of 7 nights and longer. Just on the classic ships. Although, there were a few 6 night cruises on the Magic that had them, as they need 3 sea days (or 2 sea days and one late port arrival day) to accomplish them.

Yep, they still have them. We were on the last Alaska cruise right before your cruise and we had one. I guess that's the downside of those shorter repo cruises :(

How can I get a character breakfast on Magic? Reservations? First come first serve? Or not available on 4 day sails? Or just sea day etc?

Not available on short sailings. But, FYI, it would be on your dining rotation ticket. No reservation needed.

Everybody on 7 night or longer cruises are assigned a character breakfast. You do not have to go if you don't want to. You find out what day and time on your dining tickets in your stateroom. Ours were always the first sea day morning after our first night at Animator's Palette.

I was bummed there wasn't one on the repo cruise.

We did the cruise from LA to Vancouver and then again from Vancouver to LA.

I was thinking I just missed it somehow, glad to know I didn't really miss it.

Is there anything that replaces it on a 5 night cruise? Bummed, I didn't know it was only 7 nights.

The breakfast characters are limited to the Fab 4, and Chip and Dale. We've had better luck seeing the characters out and about the ship. For example, we were walking through the art "gallery" and saw Cinderelly and three mice. Also saw the Queen of Hearts walking down the hall outside one of the MDR's. And numerous meet and greets around the atrium.

Exactly as lbgrave said. Basically it's a time issue so that everybody has an opportunity. Your servers from your dinner also serve the character breakfast so you are seated with your dinner companions at your assigned MDR table. Since there are 3 dining rooms for rotation, they need 3 mornings to get everybody through.

No there isn't. If there aren't three sea mornings to hold the CB for everyone, they don't do them at all.

So there probably won't be a character breakfast on the Southern Caribbean cruises next fall, correct?

The seven night med cruises on the Magic only have 2 sea days so there was no character breakfast.
