~~ Sew hot, Hot, HOT! ~~ A sweltering Aug 2013 TR ~ Pre-Trippie link posted! ~ 10/31!

I am scared beyond belief to think that 1- 1990 is now considered 'old; and 2- to realize you graduated three years before my oldest son...and that he was 19 when he graduated...(I graduated in 73)

I could be your MOTHER!

And I thought it was bad last week when my youngest turned 12...

Ok Panic attack over... Continue with the TR!

Nini

I'm all caught up. It seems like you made good use of the water park add-on. The photopass pics turned out really well.

Love the Lady bag.

Okay, I love V's hair! I remember paying good money back in the day to get my naturally straight hair to look like that. I think it's so funny this is now a theme day at school... I feel old now, and I'm not even 30 yet. Thanks D~! ;)

Nini

LOL, I thought the same thing Nini - my oldest graduated in 96 too, but she was only 17. Of course I am still older than you - I graduated in 71!

V looks fabulous. She has grown up so much in just the past year, since I've been following along on your trip reports.

I LOVE the picture of the girls sitting by the lake. Its a wonderful picture of the two of them.

Have fun at work :dance3:

V looks really great in her 90's outfit. Sounds like you had fun this morning getting her ready :cool1:

I think my sister graduated in 93. So I can be your big Sister. I graduated in 89.

Love the pictures

Yes, I too am traumatized that the 90's are considered "old". I for one think that was the coolest time to grow up :cool2: (LOL).

Victoria looks great all dolled up. I see you even rolled up her jeans "right". :lmao: Hope she has fun at school today.

That is a very nice picture of the girls on the river. How nice that you got to see Josh's Aunt (without having to go to Alaska).

quick fly by catch up.

Class of `92 here, but I graduated when I was 17. I was never hip, but going to a performing arts high school kind of made whatever I did semi-cool anyway.

I have to comment on DQ - it's awesome for those that do video gaming on a regular basis. In other words, DH, Dh's best bud, DHBB Wife but not me. I like watching modern video games because they're better than some movies out there, but I don't like playing them, really. So I do a lot of people watching when we go to DQ, which we haven't since 2008.

OMG! I remember that being cool. :rotfl2: I never had the big hair because my parent's refused to buy me hairspray and I found other stuff I'd rather spend money on at the time and hairspray wasn't it. She does look great though and it does bring back a lot of memories.

Hello,

Hubby to Sewdisney here. She asked me to get on here to give you her apologies because she won't be visiting this site for at least several days - she had emergency surgery today. She said she is sure she would love your "creations" and she is sorry she won't be commenting on them any time soon. She says to keep up the fantastic work and she is looking forward to getting back on here.

Thank you.

Oh, I hope you'll update us soon! I realize this was a few days ago now.

LOL, I thought the same thing Nini - my oldest graduated in 96 too, but she was only 17. Of course I am still older than you - I graduated in 71!

Oh, I have you and Nini both beat, so yeah, talking about the 90's being old is crazy to me. They just happened yesterday, right?

Hey, D~ I thought I'd be back 3 days ago, but didn't make it. I do absolutely love the Lady bag! The fabric, the colors, her expression...everything! And that sweet little wallet with the collar...melt! Outstanding!

Yes, you HAVE to do the Nemo show next visit. I still get a little teary. The best place to sit is the section to the right of the entrance/walkway. As close to the front of that section as possible.

Dan and I actually love Typhoon Lagoon as well. And Crushin Gusher...we just kept going back again and again. Since there are 3 slide options, it doesn't get old. But sitting with your feet in the water and relaxing sounds great too. Love the photos of you ladies. Very nice!

You're such a tease with those tid-bits you casually throw out about your secret projects! Can't wait to see what you're up to. I know it (they) will be amazing and well worth the wait. Hope you had a great day today!

Hi D~ I have finally started reading your TR. It is wonderful so far. And I am only on day 2!
I just want to apologize I couldn't arrange an exact time & place the engagement was happening. He wasn't exactly sure how he was going to get her back to the front of the park, all his family AND us. So, he just had to kinda wing it without filling us in until it was happening. :rotfl: Turns out you were probably seated, but V was probably in line for Tiana. :rotfl2: She could have grabbed a glimpse. :upsidedow

Love the headbands. I just don't know how you could stand them with how hot it was. I was down to the bare neccessities to stay cool. lol

So glad to you had a nice visit with the family. The girls look cute in that picture by the water. V looked great dressed for the 90's. I can't believe they say the 90's are old! Cannot wait till you reveal your secret project. Hope work went well for you and that your fabric order arrived.

Love the pictures of V in her '90's outfit. I looked like that in HS and that was quite the stylish outfit then. I'm not sure if I should be honored or horrified that they are making fun of the '90's now.

In my mind, it wasn't that long ago.

Well job on the hair!

Christine

And probably the funniest thing - is those high waisted jeans are now starting to come back in style.... :scared: I agree - I didn't think it was that long ago either, until I started getting her ready - then I started to feel quite ancient. :confused3

OMG!!!! what no white Reebok high tops with the velcro?!?! I cannot tell you how much I LOVE THIS!!! i just wrote on all the pictures on facebook ...

this does NOT look like her!!! total back in time!!!

Nope - we couldn't find any shoes that would go... If only she would have had a pair of Keds or something - but surprisingly, even though they are back in style - we don't have any. I had so much fun dressing her up though.

V looks awesome...love it

Thank you! It was so fun!

That is hilarious!!!! Love the little touches of the ESPIRIT bag and LIZ Claiborne glasses!

Yah - The Esprit bag was a total after thought... I thought I had seen it hanging in the back of the closet - so I went digging, and there is was! I was so happy!

I am scared beyond belief to think that 1- 1990 is now considered 'old; and 2- to realize you graduated three years before my oldest son...and that he was 19 when he graduated...(I graduated in 73)

Nini

Hahaha... Well, after reading all of the responses yesterday - it appears I could have A LOT of family here. :scratchin

I absolutely LOVE the pictures of V in her 90's get up!!! Absolute perfection!

Thanks Oopsi!!! Is today the day??? I lost track of my days... It's either today, tomorrow or yesterday??? LOL

I'm all caught up. It seems like you made good use of the water park add-on. The photopass pics turned out really well.

Thank you... I am glad we were able to use it one more time.

Love the Lady bag.

Thanks!

Okay, I love V's hair! I remember paying good money back in the day to get my naturally straight hair to look like that. I think it's so funny this is now a theme day at school... I feel old now, and I'm not even 30 yet. Thanks D~!

Hahaha... Well, she put it in curlers the night before - because I told her it MUST be curly for the occasion. I think it's hilarious that it's a theme day - it was certainly fun. In all fairness - it wasn't just the 90's... Each grade had a different decade... Alli was the 70's - she didn't dress up... One of the other classes was the 50's and there was one more - but we didn't know anyone in that grade, so I am not sure what their year was? I think it would be FUN to do the 40's - I am so fascinated with that decade.

LOL, I thought the same thing Nini - my oldest graduated in 96 too, but she was only 17. Of course I am still older than you - I graduated in 71!

V looks fabulous. She has grown up so much in just the past year, since I've been following along on your trip reports.

Hahaha.... Another family member! Thanks - I had so much fun dressing her up, I wish I could do it every day!

Thank you - I think the picture turned out great too. :)

V looks really great in her 90's outfit. Sounds like you had fun this morning getting her ready

Thanks Lillian! I had a lot of fun dressing her up!

I think my sister graduated in 93. So I can be your big Sister. I graduated in 89.

Love the pictures

Yay! Chiara is family too!!!! So far - I have 2 mothers here and now a sister! :woohoo:

Yes, I too am traumatized that the 90's are considered "old". I for one think that was the coolest time to grow up (LOL).

Victoria looks great all dolled up. I see you even rolled up her jeans "right". Hope she has fun at school today.

Yah - I was so bummed though, I forgot to give her my Swatch to wear... Even though it's a modern Swatch - it's still a Swatch... Although - technically - I think the Swatch is more 80's than 90s?

That is a very nice picture of the girls on the river. How nice that you got to see Josh's Aunt (without having to go to Alaska).

Thank you! We had a great visit!

quick fly by catch up.

Class of `92 here, but I graduated when I was 17. I was never hip, but going to a performing arts high school kind of made whatever I did semi-cool anyway.

That's awesome! I wish more schools thought that way.

I totally understand - but I do think they could use a serious upgrade. :thumbsup2

OMG! I remember that being cool. I never had the big hair because my parent's refused to buy me hairspray and I found other stuff I'd rather spend money on at the time and hairspray wasn't it. She does look great though and it does bring back a lot of memories.

Yah - I went through a lot of hairspray back in those days... I am making up for it now though. LOL

Oh, I hope you'll update us soon! I realize this was a few days ago now.

I hope so too.

No worries - thanks Lois!

Yes, you HAVE to do the Nemo show next visit. I still get a little teary. The best place to sit is the section to the right of the entrance/walkway. As close to the front of that section as possible.

That is good advice... I may be asking you to repeat it later - when I am deeper in the planning stages of our next trip. :thumbsup2

Dan and I actually love Typhoon Lagoon as well. And Crushin Gusher...we just kept going back again and again. Since there are 3 slide options, it doesn't get old. But sitting with your feet in the water and relaxing sounds great too. Love the photos of you ladies. Very nice!

Well, next time, I will plan for the cost of locker renting and make sure I can participate, it looked like so much fun!

You're such a tease with those tid-bits you casually throw out about your secret projects! Can't wait to see what you're up to. I know it (they) will be amazing and well worth the wait. Hope you had a great day today!

Sorry - I am dying for that last little bit of fabric to get here... I am so excited! I've asked Alli if she will take me out on a photoshoot for it - and she kind of grumbled... She told me it depends on if she likes it or not. Sigh... :crazy2: Maybe I can bribe her?

I plan on working on - and finishing - one of our customs this weekend... Hopefully it doesn't take as long as I fear it will. I am very excited about this one too! I am debating on revealing it here - or if I should wait until I start a PTR? Or both? LOL

Hi D~ I have finally started reading your TR. It is wonderful so far. And I am only on day 2!
I just want to apologize I couldn't arrange an exact time & place the engagement was happening. Turns out you were probably seated, but V was probably in line for Tiana. She could have grabbed a glimpse.

No worries Dee - I wasn't sure if that day would work out for us either - I knew that timing would be a little off. It's a bummer, but I am glad you all were able to be there and witness it.

Love the headbands. I just don't know how you could stand them with how hot it was. I was down to the bare neccessities to stay cool. lol

Thanks! Actually - the headbands weren't bad at all, we didn't even hardly notice they were there at all. Never once did I say that my head gear was too hot or too annoying - they were very comfortable to wear. :thumbsup2

So glad to you had a nice visit with the family. The girls look cute in that picture by the water. V looked great dressed for the 90's. I can't believe they say the 90's are old! Cannot wait till you reveal your secret project. Hope work went well for you and that your fabric order arrived.

Thanks Lynee! I am super excited to reveal one or two of my projects - unfortunately - they are all for me... LOL So it's nothing I would ever make to sell or anything - but I am still excited about it. LOL

**********************************************************

I had a good day at Target yesterday... I stayed busy for a good portion of the day. So, that always makes my day better.

I was so anxious to hear from V and how everyone liked her outfit. As it turned out - not many people dressed up at all. :( And some of the kids insisted that she was more 80s than 90s.. But - I think she was the perfect representation of me in HS. By the time I came home from work - she had already brushed out her hair - so I am glad I was able to take the photos I took in the morning.

Today, I will be working on some pre-assembly and hopefully final assembly of this week's custom order. I also hope to get started on the wallet - at this point in time, I have no idea what I am doing for an applique on it... So, I need to do some research too. Today may prove to be a long day for me. I really want to be DONE with this order though, so I can devote my weekend to fun projects. :thumbsup2

Next week will also be fun for me - as I have a coworker on my custom order list... And I am making her something that I don't often make... I am really looking forward to this - and I think you all will enjoy it too.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

D~

Wednesday, August 28 - Magic Kingdom

I was up at 6am...

Alli was up at 6:30...

V was up at 7am...

We were on a bus to MK at exactly 7:30.

IMG_1057.jpg

As the bus was pulling in, we looked outside - there was Bernadette and family walking by our bus. So the girls and I hopped out and walked with them to the front gates. They had an early morning ADR at CP too.

So, we got into the line - which wasn't very long and waited for the CMs to let us into MK.

IMG_1058.jpg

Bernadette's youngest (Emma) had spent the week working on a craft project... She had made each of the girls and I bracelets - which I am still wearing - I just love mine! Emma made mine with "Donald" colors! Isn't it fantastic? The girls don't wear theirs every day - but if what they are wearing matches they do. They are so comfy!!! Also photographed is the "hidden Mickey" bracelet that I purchased the other night at the GF...

IMG_1059.jpg

We all stopped for the Photopass photographers at the park entrance, and we were even lucky to get a few great photos of all of us together... Thank you Bernadette for letting me share these here. We had sooo much fun with her and her family this day too!

Photo1629FourBySix.jpg

L to R: Joe, Gene, Lizzy, Victoria, Me, Bernadette, Emma & Allison - Aren't their shirts great? Bernadette made her's and Emma's! I can't remember if she did the others too? Maybe she will chime in and remind me?

Photo1682FourBySix.jpg

A few morning photos as we were walking into MK... I love MK this time of morning - it's like they spray it down with glitter overnight, and it just sparkles in the morning sun!

We checked in to our breakfast at CP... Was it as good as we remembered it? Or would we decide that this "must-do" is no longer a "must-do"?

Nini

Right here with you Nini I graduated in 75, lol

Right off the bus and already a dismeet :thumbsup2 Great group shot too. How nice of Emma to make you guys all bracelets. And custom colors too. :goodvibes

I think the one of the 3 of you in front of the castle (must have been taken after Casey's corner) is one of my favorites from you trip. Plus your awesome accessories are showcased.

Curious if you liked CP this time too...

I love this calendar. How did you do it? If you don't mind my asking.

First off - our plans... You will notice, as the trip progresses... Some things stayed the same and some things changed. I am not normally one to change plans mid-trip... but this time I did!

D~

Great photopass pics...just the three of you and also the group.

I love MK first thing in the morning...no crowds, it sparkles like you said and just makes me smile the biggest smile ever.

Uh oh...I'm a little nervous about your review. I did mine and ours was fabulous as always.

This is fantastic! i love the pictures!!! and hardly anyone in the park!!!!

this is so cute!!!

so you guys have a theme with how you stand with pictures!
