Updated 1/22! Photos and a little reporting.

Yeah they do come up with some funny/embarrassing comments!! :rotfl2: Sarah's been known to ask me why Jeremy stands to potty and she has to sit. She's asked that one in public too.

Oh boy you have been traveling that fine path too. Lol

ladylyons said:
Oh yes!! lol So now I just try to keep them out of the bathroom at the same time. But I think it's too late.

That is the only problem with having the kids so close in age. I wouldn't have it any other way because they are friends.

I agree with you 100% on that!! Even when they are fighting like cats and dogs they are still the best of friends.

That's it exactly!! There is 3 years difference between the three of them.

WOW, the house is really coming along, outside and inside. So exciting!!!!

Jeremy and Sarah are 19 months apart, Sarah and James are 2 years 2 days apart and James and the baby will be 3 1/2 years apart. So very close also. Even when Jeremy get's mad at Sarah if James does something mean to her Jeremy steps in and get's mad at James and tells him to be nice. But of course that doesn't stop him from getting mad at her too!

Sherry, it breaks my heart to hear about your trip report. I read your posts from on here and on Facebook to Scotty and he agrees with me that you have a great turn of words. He asked me if you write professionaly.

I know you must have noticed how small I have gone with my photos. I wanted to make sure they wouldn't bother your computer. The house is great! I want to move home so bad. Duffy is wonderful! My best friends daughter bought his for me for my birthday in May. The clothes were on sale so I figured he needed an outfit or two. I also got him a Buzz outfit.:goodvibes

Thank you on keeping me up to date on the dates. Hopefully we will get a few hours in the park so that Kacy gets to ride the Haunted Mansion at least once.

Thank you for the nice compliment (about the writing), Michele. And thank Scotty for me, too.:goodvibes I'm trying to gather up the energy to start a new TR thread, but energy is escaping me at the moment!:rotfl2:

I have noticed the downsize in photos!:rotfl2: It really does help, but I hate for anyone to stop doing what they want to do in their own TRs. Believe me when I say that I have been having a heck of a time in my Halloween and Christmas/Holiday threads lately, as almost everyone (with the exception of a few folks) posts gigantic photos -- and many of them at one time. The size that I tend to use is 640x480 (for horizontal/landscape photos) or 480x640 for vertical/portrait shots. Laurie/DizNee Luver's TR photos are usually a size or two larger than that.

I love the Duffy/Buzz Lightyear outfits I've seen! They're so cute.

I was thinking about Duffy on the recent Halloween Time outing -- it's as if he has caught on with the DLR crowds...and yet not caught on at the same time, if that makes any sense. I think he has caught on in that there are so many Duffy outfits and accessories now, as well as different sizes of Duffys (I love the Duffy in the pumpkin costume -- with a little pumpkin trick or treat bag -- that is sold right now at DLR). At the same time, there doesn't seem to be a real 'Duffy mania' happening out here as there supposedly is in Japan.

Shows you how long it's been since I checked in there that I didn't know that. I'm a bit stunned! Since it was your choice I'm happy for you (?), but wowza!

Molly --

Yep. I'll have to explain more another time. I had mixed feelings about deleting the thread -- I'll say that much.

There are now two must do things from Kody. She has to go to Goofy's Kitchen and Flo's. Both for breakfast. She has to try the banana french toast at Flo's and Goofy's well SherryE can attest to the draw of that. Scotty loves it too. Some of our funniest moments have been at Goofy's. Loren played straight man to Goofy when he was 5 years old. I have never laughed harder than I did that day. Goofy was trying to make Loren smile or laugh and Loren would have nothing of it. He was busy eating watermelon so that was his focus. Goofy stood next to him with a napkin wiping his mouth and all sorts of things. It was not until after he was done that Loren reacted to Goofy. His reaction was a deep belly laugh.:goodvibes

Since we are at double digits eve I am hoping to start posting a memory of a trip. I am pretty sure I have 100!

Michele -

You know how I love me some Goofy's Kitchen -- and was so sad to have missed it last year. It didn't feel right to not have that as part of my trip since it had become such a tradition. I feel out of the Goofy's loop now, like I don't even know what's going on there!

I find that my kids do the same thing. Loren is very protective of me too. Goodness help anyone he thinks is mistreating me. :goodvibes

I really don't mind resizing my photos. I kind of like the smaller size. I have been going with 600x480. I like that size. You're welcome about the compliment but I speak the truth. You do have a way with your words.

I am afraid that Duffy will not take off and they will get rid of him. I think he is adorable! I can hardly wait to see him when we go in January! Him and all the other characters.

We haven't been to Goofy's since 2005. We always have something else going on. This trip we are going to go to Goofy's. I want a character filled trip!

:dance3:We are at double digits!!

98 days!! Woohoo!!:dance3:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I lost a day there somewhere.:rolleyes1 Not sure how but I will blame it on the ticker. Yes, that's it, from now on everything is the tickers fault! Sound good? Sound illogical? Silly? Yes, to all of the above but hey that's okay. Silly is good!

Today’s happy memory will be about my first trip to Disneyland. Appropriate I think. I was 9 years old and my Uncle Bill and Aunt Julie were getting married. I was the flower girl and my sister Kathy was a bridesmaid. Visions in yellow. I still had my basket of flowers that I carried in the wedding until last April. Anyhoo. My dad was a great man who worked long hours and at that time worked a 13 day week. His idea of a vacation when he had time off was to take us camping.

He would pack us into his 1965 Mustang and pack all of the camping equipment in the trunk and all around Kathy and I. He was kind of a trendsetter. We had seatbelts in the backseat. In those days you paid extra for the seatbelts in the back. Yes, children I am old. We would be belted in and off to an adventure. Fun? Yes it was. But my Aunt Julie having been raised in Southern California thought Disneyland was where kids should go.
So here it was the week of her wedding and she was taking her new little nieces to Disneyland. It was a WOW thing to me. She is a very cool lady still but she was the COOLEST ever for me then. I realize mow that she took the time out of her busy getting ready for her wedding schedule. We got to this huge parking lot, the biggest I certainly had ever seen. I had no idea what to expect. She just told me that I was going to have more fun than I had ever had. Boy was she right. From the first moment I went into the park and saw the sights and smelled all of those smells I was in love.

Disneyland was like no place I had ever been. It was filled with things I had never seen. Here was a place where everyone was happy and smiling. It was okay to walk through there and sing if you wanted to. Goodness there is almost a written invitation to sing with the music playing everywhere. I have always loved to sing and this was a place that was made for me. I can remember a few things that we major to me that day. I HATED Pirates of the Caribbean (favorite ride now), adored Swiss Family Tree House ( I loved the movie), Small World, how I loved this ride. I was already addicted to the music. I had the music of the ride and listened to it all the time. My favorite ride though was "A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" or at least I think that's what it was called. Tomorrowland was my favorite land. To me this was the most exciting place. :lovestruc

As you can see I can go on and on about this memory, but I won’t. Happy memory number two is in the can as they say.

What a great first memory!! That's awesome your aunt took time out of her planning to bring you guys!!

It is a great first memory. I didn't realize at the time just how busy a bride is the week before their wedding but she took the time to take us to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. My memories of Knott's aren't quite as good.

Love the house updates here and on facebook. What a cool Aunt and Uncle. Thanks for sharing your happy memory. Now I understand why our 1965 mustang only has one seat belt in the back.

Thank you. I know that there are people on here that aren't my friends on Facebook so I share some here. On Facebook I share all of them because I have friends as well as family on there.

My Aunt Julie and Uncle Bill are among my favorites. I am guessing that Disneyland plays a huge part in that. Sigh. A lot of happy memories of these two. The last time I spoke to my Aunt was to tell her that my sister had died.

I am guessing that is why too. It wasn't until many years later that seat belts became law. A good law at that.

I love the memories I have from past trips both with my family and with my grandparent's. The business of a wedding is why my DH and I got married 3 months after we got engaged!! He didn't want me stressing out for a year over what we were going to do, where we were going to have it, etc.

Yeah Knott's just doesn't have the memories DL does. The last time I was there I was 15. We talk about bringing the kids every year and then say forget it let's do an extra day at Disney!!

I do enjoy seeing all the pictures your posting of the house. It's coming along really well!!

Weddings can be so stressful. Maybe it was a good thing that she took the time to go to Disneyland and Knott's. A nice way to relax. Scotty and I "ran away" to Carson City. Complete with families and friends. Yup we're rebels.:rotfl:

My memories of Knott's consist of Mrs. Knott's chicken which was amazing, Barney Ofields Race Cars, and the Stage Coach. The stage coach was so traumatizing for me. When they asked for a hostage my dad volunteered. I thought it was real. No one took the time to tell me it wasn't. I think that maybe why we haven't ever gone. I have gone once since there as an adult but only to eat at Mrs Knott's.

Thank you, every week I notice so many changes that it thrills me. I will continue to share. :goodvibes

It probably was a nice break for her too. She probably enjoys the memories of watching you guys enjoy DL!!

We talked about going to Reno or someplace like that but then Jeff remembered a place a friend of his had gotten married at a few years before and wanted to show it to me. I fell in love from the moment we pulled up!! We got very lucky that we ended up dealing with the owner of the place (all the wedding planners were on their yearly vacation before wedding season started). She worked with us to give us very good deal since we were so close to the date and it was still early in the season.

I really want to try Knott's again but yeah it just hasn't happened yet. We've asked the kids if they want to go somewhere else and they always tell us "No we want DL!!" But then again we do go to Great America fairly often so they get their ride fix between our trips to DL.

Thought I'd let you know I've started a PTR for our hopeful trip to WDW next year!!! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=49693726#post49693726

My first corkscrew coaster ride was at Knott's. I was scared to death and rode it solo. I think it had a loop too? Was so long ago I just vaguely remember. At Disneyland, we only stayed a few hours. My dad got sick, I had contact problems, and my brother just wanted to swim in the pool. I rode the Matterhorn all by myself and loved it! But my favorite thing was the train ride and the miniature villiage.

What a great first memory. Your aunt and uncle sound like great people :thumbsup2
