BOG new test lunch res online?

FINALLY got in by using my ME luggage tag number but now receiving the error message :

Has anyone been able to get it to work with a reservation number containing letters? It will not accept letters at all. My reservation doesn't give any other reservation number to use. I want to try BOG too! :guilty:
 
I followed the directions on this thread, got my 12 digit reservations number (it started with the #4) and tried the be our guest link. It told me "please ensure that the reservation ID and names entered match exactly with your reservation details."

Everything matches but it is not working for me
 
The IT guy told me that only some people were selected for the fp BOG reservations. So when you get rejected at the select a day screen, it means you weren't selected. I don't know if it's true but why are some people able to reserve and some aren't?

Our reservation time was 2:00-2:15 on Friday, September 20. We finished up with the park earlier than planned and were just about ready to leave around 12:15. We thought we'd just wait in the standby line for BoG so we could experience it without hanging around all day. The line was out onto the second bridge and we were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. They were passing around menus, and on the first bridge they had a station with water and lemons set up and were handing out umbrellas for shade.

I decided to leave DD in line and go up to ask if our FP+ time could be changed. The CM told me I needed to do that on my smartphone. I told her thanks, but I didn't have one, and asked if she could cancel our FP+ and we would just wait in line. A few seconds later she directed us to go across the bridge and see her friend Brian. So, we got right in, which I thought was VERY nice of her.

We weren't terribly hungry, so we go the two soups and two cupcakes -- strawberry and a gray stuff cupcake. Of the two soups, neither of us cared for the french onion soup. It was very bland, but did have a generous helping of cheese on top. The cheese is the only thing we ate. The potato soup was a winner. We both liked that and wished we'd gotten two of those instead of the onion soup. I'm glad we got to try the gray stuff cupcake (which wasn't on any menu I looked at prior to our trip, so must be a recent addition?) but it wasn't great. It was okay. The strawberry cupcake was a clear winner. We both loved it and would order it again in a heartbeat. :cloud9:
 
Use the BOG special FP+ website link on the very first post on this thread. Sign in with your account, email, reservation number etc. you need your reservation number that's all numbers, no letters. If you don't know it, it is in your account on the MDE where you customized your Magic Bands. It starts with a "4". Then just follow the prompts to choose your day etc. Just post back if you run into problems as I'm sure somebody will help :)

Can you request a room at check in? I hear the WW is the best!

At lunch you sit wherever you like. The food comes out fast though, so don't dawdle. You can always check out the other rooms after you've finished eating. We sat in the WW and thought it had the best atmosphere, but it is dark. :thumbsup2
 
I can't even remember what site i was on when I found this but apparently disney is testing something new at be our guest. When some people have checked in they are asked if they plan on doing a qs lunch at bog and are given a resort reservation number (a literal string of numbers, not the conf # for your resie) and they go online to this website and "choose" the lunch they want? does anyone know anything more about this?

My daughter and her boyfriend did this a couple weeks ago when they went. Said it worked out great, since they already knew what they wanted to try off the menu.

Hi, I get this same message also :confused3 ?? Has anyone who has gotten this message found a way to "get around it" and get the BOG FP+?? Thanks, Joan
 
I found out how to find your reservation ID I was just able to book my BOG lunch for noveber 13th. You go to modify your check in (but don't really modify) when you click modify your check in. The page where it says please wait while we..and its woody from toy story..glance up at your url window and quick copy the URL. In that URL it says your reservation ID when you paste it.
 
Is anyone still having problems with their MDE accounts locking up after reserving BOG or was this just a glitchy thing on the weekend? I really don't want to have to make a call to IT to get my password reset.
 
I got a crazy question but how come all u guys are having so much trouble getting ur reservation number? It's right next to ur linked reservation in the app?

There is nothing on my app called linked reservation. My only reservation number has letters.

YES!!! :headache:
I had to call them yesterday to reset my password and I've spent a good part of my morning today on the phone with them because apparently when they reset the password they did it as a new account and "de-activated" (CM's word) my hotel, dining, fast passes, magic bands...so NOTHING was showing up in MDE. I was told they should have it all fixed within 72 hours.

When u go in the app and u go under reservations it shows ur room reservation and park tickets and fast passes and ADR's. The room reservation has the number next to it? Mine does at least.

This happened to me over the weekend and now I'm terrified to try again.
I cannot afford to lose everything on MDE. I have all of my own families reservations as well as those of my "friends".
