How many days is refillable mug good for you on regular dining plan?

If I book the standard dining plan with one counter service and one quick service meal how many days is the refillable mug good for? I have heard that if you buy the deluxe dining plan you get two weeks.

It's length of stay. You can get UP TO two weeks if you are staying that long. The level of dining plan is irrelevant.

But anyone can buy them now, regardless of where you are staying. I thought they were good for 14 days as long as you buy the 4+ day option? And I also thought that they are good at ANY resort food court, so how is it related to length of stay? I don't doubt you, Im just confused

Length of stay is the 4+ day mug. It's named length of stay in all the articles, so that's what people refer to it as. It is good at any resort for your length of stay that is programmed into the mug chip.

Edited because other posts are indicating that if you purchase a length of stay mug it is indeed good for 14 days. Level of dining plan still irrelevant.

Leaving in 2 weeks. We have a split stay and have the dining plan for the first part of our stay at AKL.

When I check into the Boardwalk, will I still be able to use my refillable mug for that first day since it's still part of my last day on the dining plan? Will they know that at the Boardwalk?

Anyone have any experience with split stays and the new refillable mugs?

If your doing a UK dining package you get the mug for longer then 14 days if your trip is over that? We always got it for 21 nights as that's how long we stayed.
Hoping its still the same with the new mugs?

From reports, new mugs have a max of 14 days regardless of how many days of tickets or how long you're staying above that. You'd have to purchase a new length of stay mug for an additional 7 days to make the total 21, from what I've read.

I haven't seen anyone from the UK report that they have asked to have their length of stay upped in person and had success or if they said no, so I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask or keep watch and see what happens at the resorts themselves.

ETA: This is a snippet of the review article that I'm going off of: $17.99 for Length of Stay (If youre staying longer, Add-1-Day or Add-2-Day options can be added.)

It doesn't say for an additional fee... so maybe they wouldn't charge?

We are going for 21 days next year as well - read through the info and as the DDP is valid for length of stay then the mugs would have to be valid for same as they are part of the whole package

Also this is on the info sheet "the ability to use your Resort
refillable mug expire at midnight on your package reservation
checkout date."

OK in this vane, can I just clarify is length of stay number of nights of stay or always just 14 days? What I mean (not saying very clearly I'm afraid) is if I have a 10 night stay is the mug valid for 10 night or is it valid for 14 or is it in fact valid for 11 days (my entire stay)? Just trying to get it clear in my head

Anyone?

I'm wondering this too....

Valid your entire stay -I could be wrong but I would think it will be same as DDP in that it would expire at midnight on your day of checkout

What if you have a split stay and only have the dining plan for the first part of your stay.

I leave in 11 days and I start at AKL then move to BW. What "date" will my mug have on it? Will I still be able to use it at the BW on my transfer day? How will they know at the BW?

See this is exactly what I would have thought!
Nobody on the ddp is going to be happy if they have to pay extra for days past the 14 day mark!

So, in our case, we are staying at various resorts for 10 nights BUT our FIRST 4 nights are at POP with the DDP. So am I correct to understand that my mug will expire on the night of my checkout day at POP and will no longer work for the remaining nights I am at other resorts with no DDP??
BUT if I'm NOT staying at a WDW resort and just walk into a resort food court and buy a mug, it will be good for 14 days?? Makes no sense to me.

Thanks! This is what I was hoping for rather than being valid for the number of nights as that would have been annoying!

Exactly what I was thinking. We have this same scenario next week. We have the dining plan the first 6 nights, but then move to Poly with no dining plan and I'm assuming we won't be able to use our mugs past midnight the first day???

My understanding is its good for 14 days at any resort. So it would still be good when we switch resorts as long as total stay does not exceed 14 days.

Well if your mug is part of your DDP then I would expect it to expire with your DDP credits - why would you expect it to still work at other resort when your dining plan has expired?

As to your second statement - refillable mugs are good for length of stay - if you are not staying at a resort that would suggest to me you cant buy a refillable mug for that resort (and why would you want to?) but if you are staying at that resort and you are staying 14 days then your mug would be good for 14 days.

I wondered if the point you may be trying to make might be why buy a mug which costs the same for a 3 day stay as a 14 day stay - that would be up to the person buying to do the maths and make their own choice.

According to the 2013 Disney Dining Plan brochure, "All unused meals and snacks and the ability to use your Resort refillable mug expire at midnight on your package reservation checkout date"
