Magic Bands and Photopass +

Wouldn't it be neat if they could add my Photopass + card to my Magic Band? Now that we are testing the Magic Band, I don't have to carry the KTTW card, but I'm still gonna have to carry around my Photopass + card for quick access.

I wonder if this capability is in the works?

I thought I had read somewhere on a MB thread that we could link our PP+ card to the MagicBands....I'm going in a few weeks and hope it's true! I love the thought of consolidating all of our cards!

looks like if you go to the website the MDE menu has a spot for photopass that lets you link it to your hotel reservation and magic band. seems to imply something is different as of 9/4 since it directs you the 'standard site' if you vacation began prior to 9/4.

would be neat to hook that to the bands too so you dont need a photopass card either. Hopefully that's part of what's in the works.

makes mention that

Later this year, you’ll also be able to use your card or MagicBand to:

Check in at FastPass+ entrances (with the introduction of FastPass+).
Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account.

so eventually seems at least it would link to your MDE account but doesn't sound like necessarily you can wave your wrist at the photographer or anything like that.

Probably just you can link your cards to your vacation so that way anyone on your reservation can easily spend money on their own CD.

we just got back yesterday and i think this is in the works as we tested the bands and had photopass+ but couldnt use our bands for photopass+ yet. i did see that there was a space to enter magicband information we we scanned out ride pictures (option for photopass and magicband).

Hah, and four days later they officially started scanning magic bands as photo pass cards.

That doesn't include photo pass + and attractions plus. Those will still scan to the cards but photographers may now scan magic bands.
