***Official November 2013***

So I am second guessing our trip, if anyone cares to give your opinion I'd appreciate it!

Going with DH, dd6, ds2 nana62. Nanas first and she says only trip. Staying at AoA

We only have a few days...arriving on 11/10 Sunday, get to resort mom babysits while DH and I go to Cali grill :)
The plan is to have a resort day on Veterans Day, avoiding crowds and whatnot. Ohana dinner at 5, going early around 3 to have a drink and sit on beach. Also have to return rental car by 10am.
Tuesday MK rope drop til we drop, Wednesday AK, probably DTD in the evening, leaving it open.

Now I am thinking we don't have enough park time! We can't add days and money is an issue. However, I work for a blog and I qualify for media tickets from disney. I am going to try but I hear they often give two tickets. SO do we use the tickets, buy the other two, and...
1. By hoppers for my mom and dd, use our day passes to go to Epcot after animal kingdom for a few hours
2. Ditch the resort day,go to the parks (Epcot or magic k? Not sure) from probably 10 am- 3 then do Ohana.
3. Try to get refunded one of the adult tickets for our current plan (not sure we can do this?)
4. Try to do the Xmas party Monday, switching Ohana to thurs morning instead, our ME bus leaves at 11:30

Am I causing issues by doing all of this? I am just anxious once we are there, after an hour or two we are going to wish we were in the parks, and I want my mom to see Epcot too. I am thinking of number one to keep the resort day..of cours ei have no rain plan for Monday yet. DH and my mom don't have an opinion right now.
WWYD?

OK, you need to give more details. Currently, what kind of tickets do you have and how many days are they for? What time do you get in on Sunday? Are you leaving on Thursday? What time?

I would not spend Monday at the resort. You will be getting in on Sunday and waiting until Tuesday to go to the parks? I don't get that at all. When you say you can get media tickets, are you positive? Are they just one day tickets? Personally I'd rather get in half days at the park and half days at the resort rather than do rope drop to end one day and take off the other day entirely.

I would get at least three day tickets and go Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Especially since your mom has never been there. If I was going home late enough on Thursday I would try to fit in a half day then too. Of course Disney is only a once every blue moon trip for me, so I have to fit as much as possible in a short time.

Hey all, so my family is down for CSR from
Nov 16-23, but after many many tries I just found a POR room (pool view) with free dining. Soooo excited that I was finally able to get POR!

This New England weather is crazy. I just pulled my air conditioners out last week and today it's in the 90s . 60 more days to go:cool1: I wish it would get here sooner.

I never pull my air conditioners until at least October, I'm such a wimp about the heat. It was miserable today. I think it felt worse after having so many perfect days before yesterday. By Friday we should be getting back to the 70's and then it is supposed to be in the 60's and 70's for the next week. We just have to make it through the 80's and the storms tomorrow.

Congrats! Looks like we will be there at the same time! I noticed some pool view rooms opened up.
I had been looking for an upgrade as we had already booked a standard, and finally got that too, garden view. I just didn't like the location of the AB standard rooms, even the ones close to preferred did not appeal to me. Too far "into the bayou" I guess. Knowing me, I'd get lost. :confused3 I am going to request a room close to the main river path and see what that gets me.

Ok, the weather thread is funny. I was so excited today because we had (another) rainstorm that dropped our temps into the 80s (F)! And the humidity still only reached 30%. Love to visit the Florida humidity, in the fall!

Ha, I guess being from Nevada the Florida fall humidity feels good. It hit 91 here (NJ) today, but it was 97% humidity - you felt like you had to cut the air to walk through it. I was inside most of the the day. I prefer high 60's low 70's. I absolutely LOVE the fall, always my favorite season. Crisp nights, cool breezes and the look and smell of the changing leaves totally does it for me.

I do not know anything about gifted tickets, but I know if I only had a couple days I would do at least two day hoppers.

Very happy the ACs are still in. This is ridiculous :crazy2:

Second day of 90+ temps and humidity it feels like Florida in July :sunny:

I'm ready for Fall and Disney come on November :cool1:

I could never survive the southern summer temps. Today is just nasty as we got spoiled by those few days of nice weather.

Personally I always liked Spring because it tells me the snow is behind me with the similar temps to Fall. With Fall it reminds me of what is coming and that I don't like. The reason I don't like winter is I feel trapped. Between the demands and stress of the holidays, and then the snow and ice that keep me home......I look forward Spring.

BUT this year Fall is my season. I'm hoping we don't see Snow until after my November vacation. The past 3 years we had early snow. Loved the winter a couple years ago that never got cold or a lot of snow.

Anyway, I'm packing capri pants because with socks and sneakers and a jacket I will be fine. Of course I'll have jeans on when I get down there so if it does get cold I have an option.

INFACT I have a place in my room, that my suit case is there and I've kind of decided what I'm bringing. So I started packing and instead of putting the clothes I want at Disney in the closet or draws, I put them in the suitcase. If I wear it, once it's washed it goes back in the suitcase. LOL
So my practice packing has kind of turned into packing and living out of the suitcase until this weather gets cooler. :lmao:

Don't you just love my coping strategies?:sad2:

BTW, I think it was this thread that was talking about the Lime Green Mickey heads. Someone said the Disney paint line was discontinued......Well what was discontinued was the Mickey head paint chip. I was at Walmart today and saw the line of paint. They had the Lime Green color but the paint chip was just regular squares, with a tiny mickey head on the corner. So technically if you wanted to make a head out of the paint chip you could go get one and cut out the shape or draw it or something.

Just thought I'd mention it in cause you didn't want to print them and wanted the thicker material. :goodvibes

Thanks for the tip...I'll be looking for one!

As far as the LGMH I printed some but then used laminating folder that I picked up from the craft section in Wal-Mart and then used an iron to get the laminate to seal. I'm still doing some testing to tweak it to get it just right, but it seems like it will work just fine.

:welcome: to both of you. I will add you to the first post when I get to work. (boy, I have a lot to catch up on).

Hope everyone is doing well in this stifling heat. :( Yesterday was ridiculous and I don't think today will be any better. I have a 5K to run tonight and I think it will be during thunderstorms....oh, joy. :rolleyes2

So, everyone have a great day! :flower3:
