Snake on Space Mtn

GOOGLE... Proving you don't know nothing for over 20 years...

I had something alive and well land in my lap on ToT....thank God for the pitch dark and the restraining belt, first bc I couldn't see what it was, and 2nd bc I would have jumped off the ride if I could! I don't know what it was bc I grabbed it and flung it as hard as I could :lmao: (My apologies to the people in the front row if I hit you in the head)

Rebecca, but I bet it was a mouse that landed in your lap, and that might explain what a snake was doing in there - looking for dinner and he lost his grip up in the rafters. I believe the OP - why would she lie about this? I just hope they gave the kid a free ticket to return, at the very least!

*I just saw you said ToT...there's probably mice in there too!

Blagh, whatever it was was about the size of my palm, but I didn't keep it around long enough to determine what it was! CM's told me "oh, could have just been a wolf spider"...JUST??? :scared1: Or, a litany of other creatures native to Florida, who knows. It did add to the ambiance of the ride tho. :)

I would seriously have a heart attack if any of those things happened to me. Lol. That's what you call a new and improved 4D experience.

Really, I would just convince myself that whatever it was, it came from another person on TOT! If I didn't see it, it can't be a spider! :scared1:

On our honeymoon in 2005 we found a scorpion in our room at AKL. It could have been a scorpion. :).

It was a giant mutated lovebug bent on revenge against the human race.

OK, the son is in Florida at WDW and is riding SM.

Then while riding SM a snake drops from parts unknown on him.

It then proceeds to bite him within the Groin area.

They find and, I assume, kill the snake.

Nothing else appears to happen until the next day when he notices that "it" is red and swollen.

He then flies home, I assume because there are no hospitals in Florida.

His mother is taking pictures of his "private" areas and sending them to random people because that's what any friend would do.

He goes to the hospital where he has a couple of surgeries and is loaded up with anti-biotics. Wouldn't anti-venom be more useful?

We all live happily ever after, but I'm sure there is a strongly worded letter headed for WDW about public safety and pain and embarrassment, etc.

Posted on the DVC Boards????

Moved from DVC Boards as not DVC related.

Amazing fantasy, but, I'm thinking the only possible truth in this is that the kid was in Florida. Everything else is suspect. The only thing this is related to is Urban Legend.

Okay this is really creepy cuz I dont like snakes. But last year we were coming out of Raiforest Cafe the one in Animal Kingdom and right by the entrance my son notice a snake we told one of the CM'S, so what they did is they got it and just put it back into the bushes thats crazy. So from now on Im gonna have a flash light and told my boys to be careful when were at the parks.

Sounds like a load of BS

Whilst i argee there are snakes at Disney i am afraid of them but not seen any yet i just dont think this story has any truth and there are way to many holes in the story

I don't know whether or not this story is true but all of this talk about snakes on rides, possible mice or wolf spiders on my beloved TOT and scorpions at AKL where we are staying in less than 5 days has me seriously skeeved out right now!!!! AGHAGAHGHAG!!!! :scared1:  LOL!!

I'm always a skeptic about these things. However, back when I was a kid -- long before the advent of the Internet, I remember a story reported that a venomous snake fell into a car and bit a patron at a Missouri amusement park. Silver Dollar City -- Fire in the Hole. Fire in the Hole is basically an indoor coaster. I've always believed the story to be true, although I googled it and really could find no mention of it -- perhaps because it happened so long ago?? I'm not sure.

Anyone else remember this?

Why would that be newsworthy? Snakes can be found in the bushes in Florida, and many other US states, in other countries, etc. Child reaches in and gets bitten. Happens in Florida, in other states, in other countries, etc. It's not surprising that it happened.

Now, no news report of a snake falling from inside an enclosed roller coaster, landing on someone and biting him? Requiring hospitalization? That seems very odd to me, indeed.
