I'm here! Joining in of course! I'd much rather be reading TR's anyways compared to doing housework or Accounting homework. But can't wait to read more about your trip with you and Em! Maybe one day I will be able to get out to southern CA to go to DL but that's after I defriend my uncle so he won't know that we're in CA. Hahaha!!! Long story is my aunt drives me nuts and we all dread when she comes to NC to visit because it's a bad week for us all! Yeah we're so nice huh? But seriously can't wait to read more!

I am so excited for this report! I would LOVE to stay at MK for the ease of transportation with a W/C...which leads me to say, you COULD do a W/C trip and see how the other half lives at Disney...just saying! And what happened to your ankle, I read the PTR when you wrote about it last week, but never did see exactly what happened or the details of how long you will be out of commission I am SO SORRY! But you COULD do Disney (I am such an enabler)!

You are so correct. I could do a trip in a wheelchair! You want the truth huh? Gravity works. I stepped off my stairs - apparently there were more steps left and I didn't notice because I was distracted! I'm actually walking now so I've progressed from crutches and crawling.

4th page already?!?! MY TR moves 4 pages every 6 months . Thanks for the "smoke signal" I would have seen it from your other TR when I signed on tomorrow but a heads up is nice! Too bad I was sleeping or I would have been here sooner! I say a F&W trip is doable lol! Just make it sometime Oct 17-28 okay?

HI!! I'm joining in!! I saw the heads up on FB!! I was a lurker for bits and pieces if your last TR, which I need to go back and read more of!! I read your intro and this sounds like it's going to be a fun adventure to read about!!

I mostly go to WDW but was lucky enough to get out to your neck of the woods or shall I say the So Cal area late July-early Aug. We loved it and hope to get back out there someday!!! We did DL and LA/Hollywood!!!We saw lots of things, but there are so many more places to go and things to see out there. We were lucky that the weather was perfect while we were there. It was even cool in the evenings, something that doesn't happen much around here this time of the year!!

My youngest son is also my Disney partner in crime. The two of us have been on many trips without DH or my oldest DS. It's our special time together and neither one of us grow tired of it.

We are also resort hoppers. My DS loves AKL and we both love YC. Recently we've been staying at CR during our MK days and it makes it so convenient, then we just move over to the next resort for that area.

You have another fan here of the pink bag! Can't wait to hear about the trip.

I'm still confused about the Mickey waffles from your Feb/Mar trip. Your report is the only one I've ever seen from Akershaus that shows having them. I hope it's that way when we go next summer.

That's awesome that you have your DS as a travel companion. It certainly builds some wonderful memories.

I'm with you about YC but I also love AKL - thus the split stays. Our park strategy is similar - knock out the dining and things we want to do strategic to the resort we stay. Great minds think alike!

Ha thanks! I've had a few PMs about the bag. And I wasn't going to bring it because it is not a good park bag but I was too lazy at the last minute to change bags so it came with me.

We've had waffles at Akershus every trip since 2010 when Em's eagle eye spotted someone having waffles brought to their table. Apparently you have to ask for them so don't be shy about that.

I think it's fantastic you and your daughter are getting to spend this time together..and in Disney!! My mom is the one that brought Disney into my life at a very young age (my first trip was at 2.5) and it's something we still share today (along with my younger sister)!

We are "passing the love-of-Disney torch," so to speak, in just nine days when we take my daughter for her first trip (she'll be 14 months)! My DH and Dad will be there, too, but while they do like Disney, they are not as obsessed as we are!

Anyway, looking forward to reading along!!

Sounds like you left before it really heated up here. Which was about the time that I headed to FL. It was rather cool until early August around here. I'm glad you got to see some of So.
