Magic: November 1, 2013 5 night Western

Just put a hold on two balcony rooms with the MTO rate!! Which is amazing, best deal we have had yet...However how does everyone feel about NO castaway cay stop?? This is the only thing stopping me, I have till tonight to decided. We have been to cozumel and not to impressed, never to gran cayman though. Can I find a great beach to make up for castaway??

We are open to linking for late dining as well. Do we have someone doing that for us? Please let me know so I can send info needed =}

Pooh Girl is doing that. She will need a PM with your full name and your reservation number to get you linked up. :thumbsup2

We are sad no Castaway Cay also.:sad2: But....2 sea days AND we will be aboard the newly redone Magic, AND we will get Disney service. ::yes:: How can you go wrong at these prices? :confused3

Hello Peeps! Just booked this cruise using the MTO discount! (Moms retired) It will be 8 of us on this cruise; we have 2 connecting rooms. Does anyone have any experience with sailing in Nov? We have sailed on the Dream and the Magic during Spring Break. (both times) How cold will it be?:confused3

Your mom was able to get two rooms and for extended family. We always sail military and get two rooms but because we have a family 2 adults 3 kids they allow it. I was under the impression I could not get the MTO deal for my extended family??

You can find a good beach club on either stop. It won't be Castaway but still nice ;)

They said we could do it because 2 people that lives in my mom's household would be in the other room. Not everyone could fit in one room, so we had to get two rooms. They gave us the discount for both rooms. It came out to about 1,300 per room with 4 people in each room.

Castaway was a deal breaker along with the great adult deck on the dream. So we will hold off and hopefully get a mTo for the dream, with castaway... from port canaveral 30 min from home. Btw the money spent on gas, parking, dog kennel, and excursions in Mexico which we don't really care about we rather put all that towards 4 night on the dream! Which us luck !!

Can someone please recommend somewhere reasonable for us to park? Never been to Miami and we are driving there coming from Louisiana.

We are going to be driving down to Miami the day before so I am looking for a Hotel near the port that offers a "Stay and Sail" package. There are several around the port area that offer that, there usually is a charge pp to go to the port on their shuttle($10.00 pp o/w is usual), haven't had time yet to research. You then can leave your car there so if you are planning to get down there the day before this might work for you as well. I'll post what I find.

Just booked two FLR rate rooms! 8 of us total, 5 of us total between mom and dad, 8yoDS,5yoDD, 11 month old DS, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt (her first cruise!). So excited!
We are taking a 3 night cruise in October (just the two of us) and were going to book onboard that cruise for a family cruise in January but we got this cruise for a better rate and its an extra night! We've never cruised out of Miami before so that will be exciting too!

Oh forgot to add, this will be our 9th dcl cruise (11 month old DS's 2nd). Magic will always be special to us. Went on her for our first Disney cruise, this will be our 4th time sailing on the Magic, looking forward to experiencing the upgrades!

We were also able to book 2 rooms with the MTO discount, there are 6 in our immediate family, but we also asked after our in-laws who were debating coming with us, and Disney said as add-ons that would be fine because being a large party they had to give us 2 rooms anyhow so the discount would apply to them too. We could not have booked after the fact, a separate room for them. The discount only applied to the party traveling/booking together. And no more than 2 rooms would be discounted. Does that make sense? Our thought was to book self in room 1, and hubs in room 2, but in actuality hubs and I stay together with 2 kids) and in-laws stay together (with other 2 kids).

And in addition to that, had we booked 2 of the rooms that sleep 5, we could have gotten a whole party of 10 the discounted rate. However, it'd be 5 people per room...which wouldn't be fun if there we're a bunch of adult couples.

Way to save!!! :thumbsup2

Sorry everyone for the overload, but I have to make more posts in order to message anyone...so I'm just going to post a couple more times. I'm really sorry! Thanks!

We booked a Dolphin Swim for Grand Cayman and touring the turtle farm afterwards. I have "swam" with dolphins before in the Bahamas but hubs and kids haven't yet so why not?
We are early dining this cruise, we did late dining last cruise and vowed to never do it again. It was the only slight negative of the cruise for us. Only because by the time we were seated and decided on the meal, and were served, it was probably 9 or 9:15pm. By the time dinner was finished it was 10 pm and we were all falling asleep in our sundaes. We never had the energy to go out after dinner.
