Who is going to the Friday the 13th celebration?

We're going! When I first read about the villains party i brought it up to DH but we dismissed it. My LO's 2nd b-day is the 12th and we have gone to celebrate the older ones b-days this year so we decided Why not? (last week) Thank goodness we could still get a room! I am already packed LOL!

I was planning a nap time and return to the park @4ish, but I don't want to be screwed if it reaches capacity...what do you guys think? Should we not leave or just come back from nap time earlier?

TIA :cool1: :yay:

I too have questions on Dland reaching capacity for the night time Unleash the Villians. Hard to know since it is such a unique event. My plan is to ask cms that day what they are expecting and what their advice is.

I'll be there! I'm not sure what I will be doing at which times of the day (a lot of it will involve going on a wild photo/information-gathering spree for the Halloween Superthread, and that can take up a lot of time), and I'm not sure what time I'm leaving at night...but I'll be there!:dancer:

If you notice a strange woman crawling under and around people to get to window displays, or to get extra close-up photos of small details on pumpkins, or to get shots of foliage, that could, possibly, be yours truly...maybe...perhaps.;);)

I am totally picturing this and laughing!! :rotfl2: We'll be on the look out for you!

You've seen what I've come up with for the Theme Weeks in the Christmas Superthread thus far, and you will see much more as the weeks roll along! Those photos required a lot of climbing under, over and around things or people to get to certain spots, and I have received more than my fair share of odd looks as I intently zeroed in on various details!:rotfl2: People have even commented. One guy said, in disbelief, "I've just...never seen anyone take a picture of a...plant...before...":rotfl2: And another guy thought I'd lost my mind as I focused on one particular Mardi Gras mask for about 10 minutes.

The last time I was at DL for Halloween Time I was all over the harvest-y, autumnal details, especially at (what used to be) the Halloween Round-Up (now the Carnival) and in the Scare-Dy Crow Shack.

So if you see anyone who looks she is on a serious mission to get pictures of Halloween merchandise, treats, decorations, window displays, etc., I'm just saying... I might be that person. I'm like a mad scientist when I get on a roll!

I love it!! Way to take one for the thread!

That is my plan as well. We are flying in that morning and will need to be up by 4:30 AM to make our flight. We are going to do the morning in the park, take a long nap and go back out around 5 or 6. I figure the party doesn't start until 8:00 and I don't think the park will sell out, though it will be crowded. My LO is 2.5. :)

I think 6:30 or 7:00 would be a great time to meet somewhere in the park. :goodvibes

Just saw this and I would love to stop by after work. The traffic is always so bad though getting from LA to Anaheim after work so I don't know if it's worth it. Maybe to stay until 1am though..

Does anyone know if the "treats" they're offering on this event will continue through the whole Halloween season? I'm specifically interested in the Pumpkin Beignets. Or just for the special event?

I will be there! My husband and I are flying in on the 10th and leaving the 15th. We are staying at the Sheraton Park. I would love to meet some fellow Disers!:yay:

I was mentioning this in the Halloween Superthread yesterday -- I am pretty sure that most (if not all) of the treats will continue all season long. The pumpkin beignets are usually around each year. I think that they may just have 'regular' names and packaging after 9/13 (as opposed to specific Friday the 13th/Unleash the Villains names), but I think they will be available in some capacity.

Here is a post with links to even more great info about Halloween Time Treats!: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=48562092&postcount=1327

Awesome, thank you! :D I have had a season pass for three years and yet, for some reason, never made it down there during Halloween season. It is my mission this year and I want those! LOL

What is happening at disney land on Friday the 13th?

Disneyland begins its Halloween season:

ANAHEIM, Calif. (July 1, 2013) – Friday the 13th – Sept. 13, 2013 – will offer extra chills this year at the Disneyland Resort. On that day, The Happiest Place on Earth gets spookier as Halloween Time returns with Disney villains, Mickey Mouse and his friends in Halloween costumes, a Dia de los Muertos celebration and the special after-hours Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park. In addition, popular attractions are transformed for the season into Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy as the Disneyland Resort celebrates Halloween Time through Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31. - See more at:

Disneyland fun starts at 8 p.m. in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A., where you can “Party Like a Villain” – go ahead, splurge on Spooky Kooky Gingerbread Cookies and pumpkin beignets, and sip an Eerie Green Frozen Lemonade. They’re only available that evening as part of the “Limited Time Magic”.

The fun moves over to New Orleans Square Railroad Station for the Unleash the Villains Dance Party that goes until the 13th hour (1 a.m.). And there are plenty of wickedly good treats to keep you going:
French Market Restaurant will be serving fiery meatloaf sliders with Cajun house chips, Oreo mousse “coffin,” and drinks in a Haunted Mansion holiday souvenir hot mug.

We will be there! So excited for this event. We will be at the park for opening and was going to go back to hotel for a couple hours to rest but I'm worried about the park reaching capacity...

I totally forgot about this before booking our plane tickets! Silly me was thinking about how to miss the least amount of work and making sure hubby was there in time for his best friend's wedding the 14th and not LMT! We don't arrive until 7pm so no Villians unleashed for us. I guess I'll have to be content with Halloween decorations, etc Sunday and Monday.

I wonder what time they are moving the fun over to NOS station? It's got to be after the second F!, right? It's so crowded around ROA on a weekend night with 2 F! showings. It would be just insane over there is they were wedging a dance party in as well.
