Rollaway beds?

Can I get a roll away bed at all of the deluxes and mods? I know some have 2 queens and a daybed, but some do not. I know we will need 3 sleeping surfaces, as I don't think DS and DD will tolerate sharing a bed. Thanks.

You could stay at Wilderness Lodge in a bunk bed room. My kids loved the beds there. We've also stayed at Poly and had a sofa that made into a bed in our room there.

No, I don't think rollaways are offered anymore. However, if the kids really are adamant about not sharing a bed, Port Orleans Riverside has some rooms that sleep five, so essentially they come with three beds. One of these beds, however, is a murphy bed. It won't sleep an especially tall person.

Rollaways are first come first serve for all deluxes with the exception of AKL and WL where they are not permitted. They are not available at any moderate. At GF, CR and Poly you would not need them with a standard room as they all contain day beds. I know a very few at the Epcot resorts do not have day beds and you can request the rollaway.

They are actually quite comfortable. My son uses one all the time at GF in the deluxe queen rooms as they only have the two queens and he prefers to not sleep with my daughter.

We had a rollaway bed at CSR last October. Not sure if they still allow them, but as of Oct 2012 they had them.

Here is the Dolphin rollaway if interested. Very comfy, after you tilt it down of course. $25.

CSR apparently still has them. We got one last October, and I called the resort to double check before booking this October that they are still available. They told me they are, and are still $15/night.

There was another thread that addressed this type of issue: when you need a 3rd bed, but not because you're trying to squeeze more than the allowed amount of people in a room. Many people said they bring an air mattress with them and haven't had any problems. We'll consider this for future stays, but right now we're sticking with the rollaway bed at CSR so my teen son and daughter don't have to share.

DVC resorts will not offer rollaways or cots.

Some rooms at the Yacht & Beach Club have daybeds, not sure how many or what percentage. The resort (not villas) will provide a rollaway cot free of charge upon request, based on availability. Reports from guests are that they are pretty comfortable.

We used an air mattress our last two trips and it worked out great! Just another option if you are looking to keep things cost effective.

We were able to get one delivered to our room at the BC on our most recent trip when my oldest DD got sick & we wanted to keep our youngest from having to share a bed with her sick sister. We did not get charged and she said it was pretty comfortable.

We were at BC last week and had a roll away. We had requested a daybed but then I did online check in and decided to give up any requests for first available room. I won't do that again, roll away took up way too much room.

I have the same situation you're in. I have a DS & DD. I put the rollaway bed on my ressie, & they said that its $15/night. I heard some ppl say that it's hit or miss if you get charged for it, but either way, I need it, so hopefully we'll be getting one.
Does anyone know how comfortable they are. I'm nervous about it

My 3 kids each took turns on the rollaway and they all said it smelled funny and was uncomfortable.

What resort are you at? Would an air mattress be a possibility? Easier to move around because you can put it up. DS9 actually loves sleeping on it haha.

We've never used a roll-away. Here are the two solutions we've used in the past for your situation:

1. Mom sleeps on one bed with daughter, Dad sleep on the other with son.

2. We carry an Aerobed with us and one of the children uses it for a bed.

We're staying at the BWI, but in the Garden Cottage which one of the CM convinced me to do, because we were switching between two resorts. I'm super worried & keep trying to change to what room I originally wanted, but it's booked! ;(

If you need to have an additional bed, then the best thing is to bring an air mattress with you. The few resorts that have roll-aways offer them on a first come, first served basis. You can request one, but that by no means guarantees you will get one.
