Still enjoying So Cal for two more days. We did Disneyland yesterday and it was amazing. Met up to say with Alison, Fran, and Ellen. It was a drive by meet, kids going bonkers to use their FPs.

I wasn't sure if it was because you're arriving Friday. I can't remember if you booked your flights or not. I should remember but I'm drawing a blank.

I haven't booked any part of our flight. I need to get on it. I wanted to wait until Michael got back from Miami so I could use points for one way. I have been crazy slammed since the kids began school. I can't believe we're going to Bear Lake this weekend. We really should stay home this weekend but its so hard as its the last big weekend of summer. We've had this planned for a while. We're going with our friends/neighbors and their friends. We've got the boat, they've got the trailer, and the kids get the tent.


What are you most looking forward to? I can't wait to see what you think of Disneyland. It's so intimate and magical. It's like MK in some ways and totally different in others.​

I have been crazy slammed since the kids began school. I can't believe we're going to Bear Lake this weekend. We really should stay home this weekend but its so hard as its the last big weekend of summer. We've had this planned for a while. We're going with our friends/neighbors and their friends. We've got the boat, they've got the trailer, and the kids get the tent. ​

That sounds like great fun! It would be sad to stay home if you've had this planned.

I'm really looking forward to all the different rides. I used to love Toads Wild Ride and the submarines. They took them both out of WDW which I don't understand. You have the room, just leave all the rides and add new ones? And I'm really looking forward to Toon Town and the Roger Rabbit ride. I love Roger Rabbit!

You really should go, it's the last holiday weekend! I was hoping to go to our cabin but have a going away party smack in the middle of it that messed with the dates. All that other stuff will still be there next weekend I promise.

No, Dec isn't going down. Not going up either. My siblings are in the same boat and I really wish they'd book! I have found them some good fares, though not the "ideal" ones. Hoping by the time I see them all on Sunday...they are booked.

Think I'm about to purchase flights. M doesn't haven't any pending SW flights so the points are what they are. I was hoping for more but the ones I have should get us one way. Better than a swift kick to the head.

I booked our flights to Fort Lauderdale yesterday. I was able to use points for almost all of it and had to purchase only a few extra. So we're on SW on the way out, arriving early evening on the Saturday before the cruise. It feels so real having at least one way of the flight booked.

and I'm so glad we could use points. I think we may have enough through United for the way home. DH has a trip in 2 weeks so I'll check the balance after that.

I generally don't book this close to a trip but I was waiting for prices to drop and it just hasn't happened. I'm afraid they'll do nothing but increase. I love SW because if their price drops, they'll issue a credit to be used 1 year from original booking date and they'll allow us to share the credit within our immediate family. ​
