WDW 13 Refections of Evil event

Thanks! I actually got mine a little bit ago. And while I definitely didn't get everyone that I wanted, I do want everything that I did get.

We missed out on all but one set. Fortunately, the set we received was our favorite. We were thrilled to get the jumbos and super jumbo. Hoping the super jumbo is as well done as the tree of life super jumbo from several years ago.

I did the happy dance around my living room yesterday much to my DD13's dismay.

I got the 3 top things I wanted. I'm very thrilled.

Now I need to rearrange a pin board or make a new one for the pins.

I had to be conservative in my spending, so my choices were limited. I got all my first choices. I had hoped for a 2nd Maleficent/Figment spinner pin to send to my sister-in-law, but not surprised that didn't happen. Very happy overall.

I got two of the spinners (mickey & figment), the last countdown mirror pin, logo pin, the mirror image set of 4, and a couple of boxes of mystery pins. Overall, I am happy.

I wanted all the pins in the catalog, which is a first for me. Really looking forward to this event! Anyone hear any rumors as to what the trading pins will look like?

I got a lot more then I was expecting. Picked out we really wanted and have to reply bsck and tell them to take off some stuff. We both put exactly the same list figuring it doublef our chance to get what we wanted. I never thought we both would get everything we asked for. Beginrrs luck I guess.

Small world. We are also in the Madison area. Didn't realize there were any pin collectors left in Madison. Years ago, I traded with a woman at East Towne mall food court, but that was over a decade ago.

This is our 2nd pin event (last year was our first).

It's DW (Debbie) and I (Dan).

What themes do you collect?
We are all over the place. Some stitch, haunted mansion, monorails, train, princesses, Halloween, etc...

Sweet! I collect Mickey, Haunted Mansion, and other park/ride themed pins.

I have been a very casual collector for 7-8 years, just buying what I liked and doing the occasional trade with CMs. Recently, I have started to get a little more into it...reading up more on new releases, lurking more on forums, etc.

Just noticed today that the full itinerary is available on the website. Happy to see an all-day RSP pick up at CSR. Maybe I won't have to wait in an hour-long line this year.

We will be at WDW that weekend, but unfortunately aren't able to attend any of the events. If someone if not interested in buying the Daisy vinyl for themselves and would be able to pick it up for me (actually DS16 he's the collector, I just finance it) it would be greatly appreciated.

I could send the $ to you ahead of time no problem, then meet up at some time over the weekend. We'll be there Fri-Sun afternoon.

Thanks for posting the link; I was just going to ask where we pick up our merchandise! Does anyone know what the witching hour gift distribution is? We have an ADR for BOG and will be missing it.

Be prepared to stand in long lines over and over again. That is actually much more fun than it sounds, but hard if you are not used to being on your feet all day. I brought a tall, foldable stool with me last year and it really helped save my feet. This year, I will have a Zucca bag to sit on while in line.

You can trade 2 pins at the board on each trip and you have 1 min to decide. Point out what you want on the board, and the CM will get them for you. There will be a collection of pins designed for the event that are obtainable only through the trading boards. The pics should be posted somewhere soon, so we will know what to look for.

Watch the big screens for them to post the names of people chosen for the trivia contests in case you are chosen.

Also, fair warning, after attending the pin events, you might find yourself loving pins as well. I wasn't into pins a whole lot until I attended my first pin event.

I am thinking that the Daisy Evil Queen vinyl might actually be an item for the Unleash the Villains party at DHS the evening of the 13th. It would be odd, but not impossible, for them to release a limited edition vinyl on the first pin event day. I haven't seen anything other than speculation since the pic was leaked a while back.

about an hour each...seems to be a bit less in the morning and gets longer as the day progresses.
