Bottled Water instead of soda at QS on DDP

I searched through various threads and got conflicting results. Anyone have updated information on getting a bottle of water instead of a soda for QS meals on the DDP. Not sure my family can handle soda/lemonade all week and do not want to use a snack credit for a bottle of water at a QS meal.

We were able to get a bottled water with every QS meal we had. We were there in May of this year.

We were there at the beginning of this month and I got a bottled water with all of my QS meals on the DDP. :)

It's never been an issue. Was there just in May. Surprised if anyone else has had problems.

We just got back on Sunday from an 8-day trip and I was able to get bottled water at every QS restaurant without any problems as I no longer drink soda and that included the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs Resort as well.

My understanding of what is inconsistent is the ability to get bottled water instead of the dessert. I've never heard of anybody having problems getting bottled water as the drink.

Is there anything else they will trade for the drink, especially at the resorts? I get a mug with my package, so I don't need another drink with my meal.

We have gotten chocolate milk or regular milk instead of soda before. I have gotten ice tea as I don't drink soda ( without whiskey in it!) . And we do get water a lot too.

We always get Gatorade at the resorts for our drink.

When we dine at CS restaurants we always get bottled water to take with us and ask for a glass of water to drink with our meal. I also take along crystal light packets to add some flavor to the water.

I think that what most people who like the drinks that are available with the mugs is to use the mug at the resort and with meals at the resort they grab something either to carry in the park (ex. bottled water, sports drink) or something to have in the room for breakfast the next morning (ex. juice). You can not substitute the drink for a non-drink. If I'm staying at a resort that has this option I'll sometimes get an espresso to go with my breakfast and my DH will get a capuccino or latte. We still have more coffee but it's a nice treat with breakfast. Our kids will get juice with breakfast.

Thanks for your answer. Last time we did free dining is was regular and we didn't have the mug. I guess I don't really need to pack bottles of water this trip. :)

This is what we did as well! Breakfast, it was nice to have juice, but we typically grabbed a bottle of water to go and brough it to the park with us. We went in April and it wasn't that hot, but it was still a nice refresher!

When eating at the resorts we typically will get a bottle of juice for breakfast in our room. Only reason we don't get bottled water is we pick up bottled water on our way to WDW as well as cereal, fruit, bagels, etc. for breakfast in the room, as well as a few snacks type items. (cheese, crackers, etc.)

I usually get bottled water for my drink and ask for a free cup of ice water too when I order my CS meal. I drink the cup while I'm there, and take the bottle with me to drink while I'm walking around the parks.

You can always order bottled Dasani water as your beverage at CS.

At TS it might be different. You can get Dasani water, but probably not spring or sparkling water.

One of the bigger discussions here is if you can get a bottle of Dasani in place of your DESSERT. You can always order it as a beverage but maybe not as dessert.
