Hi Everyone,

Anyone that followed me over from my PTR

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3074210

already know there were alot of surprises going on this trip. They just don't know what some of them were to be.

For those of you that don't want to go over the PTR (and I certainly couldn't blame you)

Ultimately, the traveling group was
myself - Dee
DH - Mark
DS#1 (22yrs) D.G.
DS#2 (22yrs) D.C.
DD#1 (22yrs) K.
DD#2 (10... well she is now) M. (or sometimes Miss M.)
DDBF (23yrs) E.
....

This started out as a surprise birthday trip for our youngest DD. It had been a rough couple years for us with deaths. And she, being 9 needed a happy place to escape to. Honestly, I too needed an escape. The only place I know that can lesson the kind of grief we had, was Disney. So, I began to research and found with out frequent flyer miles, a few Jetblue credits and our DVC we could swing a trip for the 3 of us. Then, it multiplied. This report will agonizingly slowly give you a play by play of how that came about.

So for those of you following along from my PTR, thanks for your patience and you soon will see that the wait was worth it. Well, you may not think so, but I do!

For those of you just joining, thank you. I hope you enjoy it, and know you will find those that followed over from the PTR to be a great group of people with wonderful input!

The plan was for K and E to take Miss M. out for breakfast for her birthday. Very Very early. Using the excuse that K wouldn't be around for the family dinner that was a tradition in our family. What was unknown to Miss M. was this was to be no traditional birthday.
While K, E & M were at McDonald I walked our furry family member over to the dog sitters. The most wonderful family. I am truly blessed to call this mom a friend. I didn't worry one bit about Dizzy being there as I knew he was in good hands. I truly am grateful. Even though they were already watching another dog, they took our baby in as well, even if it meant the other dog needed to go to camp. (obviously the owners of that dog were aware that may be the case). I am happy to say all dogs got along famously. First happy magic occurrence. :cool1:
When K, E and Miss M drove up the street they saw a long white stretch limo. Sorry, I didn't get a picture of the outside, but I have some that will follow of the inside. Apparently M. thought 1Direction was in the limo, so a little disappointment there. :rotfl: She barely waited for the car to stop in the driveway before jumping out! All smiles.
I need to stop here, due to 2 obstacles. 1) it is 11:51 at night and tomorrow is Miss. M's first day of middle school. (I am exhausted). 2) I haven't uploaded all the pictures yet & I need to add one here. So, I will continue tomorrow.

goodnight all! Sweet dreams! pixiedust:

Okay, I decided to upload some of them now. I am just too excited to share this with all of you to wait until tomorrow.

I have to apologize the pictures of her getting out of E's car are on the video camera, and I have no idea how to upload those. Those will have to wait. I do, however have some to share with you that won't get too far ahead.

After jumping out of the car I called her over to me. Her birthday surprises had begun & I just couldn't wait to crown her.

With little hoopla surrounded by her parents, siblings and 1 significant other, Miss M. was crowned

Birthday Princess:

Then of course her chariot was awaiting...

at this point, we TRIED to tell her we were spending the day riding whereever she wanted to go, just a joy ride and of course stopping to eat. BUT, the limo company, trying to be kind, upgraded us to a larger limo, which allowed alot more room IN the vehicle, but didn't have an actual "trunk", as in the luggage was not out of sight. So, Birthday Princess, or BP as I will call her, saw the luggage. We had managed to think of a way to hide the "kids" luggage. That was upfront with the driver. So, BP knew we were going to Disney. AFter all where else would one take a princess on her 10th birthday?!
We were able to convince her the "kids" were just taking the ride into the airport to see us off, then they had work/school/internships to go to. She was very sad, but we distracted her, just as we would have if it had been true. DD told her they could "face time" anytime she wanted. She calmed down and was loving the ride.

Upon arriving at the airport she said quick good byes to her siblings and E. And we went to check our luggage at curbside. While the siblings sneaked off in another direction, to check their luggage inside.

Okay, so here is part of the trip info. The curbside line was very long, atleast much longer than we are used to. I would estimate 20 - 30 mins. long. After we had waited about 10-15 mins. a woman approached. She stood between our party & the party in front of us. She had with her 3 young children. 1 in a stroller, 2 walking. And she was towing the luggage herself. She stood before us and asked if this was Jetblue. We answered yes. As she started to cut in front of us, I advised her the line was behind us (way behind us was the end). She proceeded to inform me she had 3 children and was running late for her flight. I suggested she tell the Jetblue crew of that, and perhaps they will get her right through, or to ck how long the line was inside. She looked at me like I was from another planet, and told me she had already checked inside and that line was too long also. And she told me she was traveling by herself & had THREE children. I pointed at BP who happened to be the one in the wheelchair at the moment, and I proceeded to advise her that I understood, I have triplets and have great compassion for those traveling with young children, as I also have done that. Her toned got even harsher and she advised me that although I may have triplets it did not appear I was traveling alone. I then told her (in my not so pleasant voice either now), that I had in fact traveled alone with young children, and was well aware, that one must allow ALOT more travel time when traveling with children. And I again suggested she speak with a JB crew member and advise them of her time issues of catching her flight. She proceeded to call someone on her phone and tell them what a horrible person she had encountered in line at JB that "claims" to have triplets and wouldn't let her cut into line. :scratchin
Honestly, it didn't phase me in the least, as I knew I was polite and was in the right by not allowing her to jump into line. I can only imagine what the 50 or so people behind me would have done had I let this lady in front of me. That said, I have to admit, IF she had approached me to the tune of .... "I am so sorry, to bother you, but I am running crazy late, may miss my flight. I'm not used to traveling alone with the 3 kids. Could I possibly jump in line in front of you". I would have been more sympathetic. I still wouldn't have let it happen, as I would have feared for my well being from those behind me. But, I may have had DH wave down a JB crew member or something. But this woman, was just unbelievable. She had no intention of asking permission to get in line ahead of us. It was as if she had the attitude of "do you know who I am".... guess what... I didn't nor did I care. Off she went cursing about me. Just then the JB crew member approached us to come forward. I knew why. We had a wheelchair, they don't like those standing in line long. I think it is just a curtisy, but we don't usually take advantage of it. There are those that need that service, we can usually handle it fine. If my vertigo is really bad, we take advantage of those "benefits" but today the wheelchair was being for convenience more than anything. We had to bring it with us, I was feeling very good, DD claimed to have a sore leg. In all honesty she has a vascular problem with her legs and they sometimes do pain her, but this was more in order to keep an eye on her. At first we began to object, and say we would stay in line, then we thought, perhaps it would move along the rest of the line faster. We had already done online check in, so it we should be simple. And we were. Off to our gate to wait for boarding. Boarding was uneventful. As always the crew was so friendly and personable. They wished BP a happy birthday and we were soon seated.
This flight I was not even a tiny bit nervous about, because I knew who was flying the plane.

The Birthday Princess!
Okay maybe she wasn't actually flying it, but we got to see the cockpit after we landed.

Soon after we had been seated the captain came out & wished BP a happy birthday. He asked her age then offered to allow her to come into the cockpit after landing. BP was so excited, but I'm not sure she knew exactly what the cockpit was. :rotfl2: DH however always wanted to be a pilot, but due to his severely bad eyesight, that was an impossiblity for him growing up. He is still amazed by airports, and planes and helicopters. Every aspect of flying. So, he couldn't wait until the plane landed. :rotfl2:
As they began the typical announcements about if the plane goes down bend over & kiss your butt good bye. lol The captain introduced himself and told the entire plane that their was a special guest on board, and could everyone please wish Miss. M. a happy 10th birthday. Which of course the entire flight did, because who wants to get the pilot angry. She was in heaven. So thrilled and embarrassed at the same time. I was so happy for her I almost cried.

About the time we got up into the air BP looked at me with tears in her eyes. I asked what was wrong, and she said she wishes Nena (my mom) was here to enjoy this with her. She asked if I thought Nena was in the clouds outside the plane windows.

:littleangel: I swallowed the lump in my throat and told her I think Nena is everywhere we are. That she knows every happy & sad thing that happens to us, and she celebrates the happy, and helps us through the sad.
Then she told me how happy she is, and thanked me & Daddy for surprising her. But, she wishes her siblings could join her. She is going to miss them.
I would be lying if I said my heart was fine, not breaking at all. In reality I wanted to say, they will be there. They will meet us there. But, we had worked too hard at keeping secrets, and I just thought of the joy on her face when she sees them.
Soon the flight attendant approached her and asked if she would like to watch a free movie. BP had asked us if she could watch Monsters Inc. we refused. She was soooooo thrilled. Then she also got 2 snacks when they were passed out. It was a VERY good flight.
When all the guests had left the plane we went to the cockpit. The captain, who intoduced himself to BP as Mr. Mike. was wonderful. he showed her what everything did and allowed her to play with much of the equipment. Then, he picked up the microphone & told her she could say something. She didn't know what to say. So... he began the Sponge Bob Square Pants theme song & aimed the mic at her when it was time for the chorus. Which of course she belted out loud and strong. :goodvibes I didn't even chastise him for using a Nick reference. :goodvibes
The flight attendant had obviously told Capt. Mike about our princess & we sincerley appreciated that as well.

Let's see where did I leave off?

Oh, yes, heading to the resort. But first...

I have to mention how wonderfully smooth the rental car process went. If you recall I had booked through undercover tourist via mousesavers, and was a little nervous as I had never used them before. Well everything went incredibly smoothly. We stopped at the Alamo desk signed that DH was the only driver, waived the car insurance (as our home auto would cover), then headed to the parking lot, picked out our mini van. A Chrysler Town & Country (which is what we had that died in Feb.) The new version is pretty nice. Tempting to go get one. But, back to the TR.

So, we were on our way to ther resort. It took about 35 mins. Until we were here:

Animal Kingdom Villa - Jambo house.
We went to check in. We knew our room wouldn't be ready as we were over 2 hours before official check in. But, suprisingly the woman informed us our room would be all set in about 15 mins. So, rather than go grab a bite we waited and took a few pictures, and hit the bathrooms. (not in that order. ;) )

When we checked back in about 1/2 hour we were told to wait while she checks for our room. Nope, maybe about another 1/2 hour. Okay...we are very hungry. So, we decide to go eat first. After inquiring about getting reservations at Sanaa, the desk CM called over to Sanaa. We are told they could seat us now. The wonderful greater advised us there is a bus that will take us from Jambo to Kidani (where Sanaa is). So, we wait, since it is threatening rain. And we wait. Finally the bus arrives. The three of us board. I have to be honest here... the bus was gross. It was dirty, and smelled like a high school locker room. But, we get to
