$15 refrigerator credit?

I got a letter in the mail today about Pop not having working refrigerators for my trip. Am I still eligible for the credit even though I have been notified in advance about the refrigerator?

Yes, but you have to ask for it.
 
Just returned from 10 days @ Pop (19-29). Asked for and received credit at front desk without issue. Took 1 minute to get $150!
 


We just got back. We stayed beach club and had a fridge, but while I was waiting for dh to bring the van over to load, I was chatting with our bellhop and he told me that the fridges that had the problems were actually at Disneyland but for safety Disney is changing all of them since they all come from the same supplier. Dd's friend that was travelling with us stayed at ASMovies and did not have a working fridge. He asked about the credit and they supposedly gave it to him, but when he went to check out they had actually charged him the amount, but he did get it straightened out eventually. So be sure to check your statement!
 
Very easy for maintenance person who unplugged defective units to cut the plug off....then replugging in units is a moot point..

I wonder though if Disney is returning them to the company if that would void it though?

Hopefully it's allset by Nov.

We have just returned from 16 nights at pofq without a fridge,that would have been most welcome extra dollars.

has anyone asked afterwards via email and had a credit?
 
We are staying at ASMo in 13 days. Any word if those rooms have been replaced? Traveling with an infant so a fridge for milk would be beneficial. Although extra souvenir money would be too.

The room our friend had last week did not have a working fridge. If you just need it for milk you could bring a small collapsable cooler from home and just use ice to keep it cold. Then you would have both milk and more souvenier money!
 
We had a 3 night stay at ASMo and 7 at POR. Non-working fridge at ASMo. I talked to the manager and he told me I needed "documentation" from Disney that they were giving refunds. Later, I spoke to another manager who gave me the credit within 5 min. To follow up, even later, I got a voicemail from the first manager saying that he noticed Lamar had given me a credit as a good will gesture and he would still like to see my documentation......really??? I ignored his call and enjoyed my $45.
Just a side note~I did bring a collapsable cooler but could never even get a buckets worth of ice from the ice machine, let alone a coolers worth.

Checked into POR and requested a fridge or a credit. Manager sent a fridge up. It didnt work but it had ice in it when it was brought in. We finally discovered that the outlet didn't work. It was much nicer having the fridge for late August!

Where would you even get "documentation" anyway? I'm glad you got you're refund.

I would be most unhappy if someone demanded documentation! Do you remember the name of the problem manager I'll try to avoid him! How very annoying!
 
I got a letter in the mail regarding the possible fridge issues too. But nothing in that letter mentioned a $15 credit if your room doesn't have one. How are you guys hearing about this? Where did Disney announce it?
 
Disney has not announced this-they aren't going to offer it up, it is by word of mouth so far.We will be at POR in 3 days- will see if we have fridge.

Just checked into POP - requested a room with a "new" fridge. The room has one but does not work. I called the front desk and the CM said she wasn't aware of a credit but that she was "in the back" and I was welcome to stop by the front desk and ask about one.
For those of you have received a fridge credit, do I need to go by the front desk(rather than just call)?
