Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

For those of you doing FP+ who got this message: We're Sorry The selected date must be within at least one party member's FastPass+ selection window....have you figured it out, yet, or did it go away? Have you been able to do it?

I've noticed that many people are upset because their resort is not one in the testing phase. I agree with them - and have the same concerns. Especially in regards to the regular Fastpass system. Since the testers will be able to double-dip, they will get to do all their rides with no problem. However, the non-testers may OR may not get fastpasses for the rides they want because of the double dippers.

I'm staying at ASMusic, Oct. 19 - Oct 25, and I feel really cheated on numerous issues - harder time getting fastpases, may not have a refrigerator in the room, crowded food court due to the close of the other AS food court, etc. I paid for this vacation in March and I feel like I'm being cheated and not getting the vacation that I expected and paid for.

If it were not for the non-refundable airfare, I would just cancel this vacation and try to get my money back from Disney.

Well, I check in on October 16th. I am extending a long weekend, so this is when we have to go. We are staying at AOA. We get nothing, no free dining, no room only. I get to pay rack rate. I would have loved free dining. I would have changed our hotel for free dining, but to get it I would have to change our airline tickets. But, we get to test FP+.

i feel a little jipped (sp?). we initially had reservations at Pop for the end of October and when the free dining came out we had to book elsewhere because they only had a limited set of rooms for free dining. and now i see the Pop is part of the MB testing and we are out of luck. we have moved to all star sports so i am assuming that resort will not be part of the testing areas.

on a good note, i guess free dining is better than nothing.

Yes, I would take free dining over FP+.

Yes, I think my next Florida vacation will be at Universal, too. Too much planning going to Disney World these days. I want to relax - NOT watch the clock.

I have a few days to think about it, but maybe I'll cancel Disney World this October and go with Universal. That way I don't have to watch the clock, fight for fastpasses, eat in the crowded food court at AS's, or worry about not having a refrigerator.

Right now it seems just too many things going on at Disney to make it a pleasant vacation. Maybe next year when things get worked out...

Oh, but a lot of the testers are getting Free Dining and FP+ and can use the current Fast Pass System too.

Yes, but a lot of people are getting nothing at all. If I weren't staying at AOA, I would have nothing, no free dining, no room discount, no FP+.

I did mine this morning as well. I didnt get thr bonus one for mk. But I'm still happy.

I didn't get a bonus for either of our MK days either but I was honestly struggling to pick 3 rides a day that I wanted to fastpass. We like to do other things besides just ride the headliners on repeat. But we're super happy to have TOT, RNRC and TSM booked in the late afternoon for both of our DHS days!!

That means you're either not eligible or your window hasn't opened up. Or that you haven't linked your tix. When/where are you staying?

Oh and Ariel's Grotto looks closed that week...poo

We are arriving Oct 12 and checking out on the 20th and Ariel's grotto was grayed out for our entire week too. Seems strange that it would be closed since they just opened that meet and greet area in the last year or so. I wonder if earlier testing of FP+ at that location did not work out well. Hopefully Ariel will be there so we can say hi to her.

Me too but I do feel bad for those that feel cheated. I felt the same way about free dining but I had to just let it go and be thankful we are going to Disney at all.

We visited Universal for a few days this summer and I know my DH really enjoyed not having to deal with the fastpass system, probably because he is our designated FP runner. LOL.

Yes, I think the whole picking times is not very efficient. I wish it was a little easier/streamlined somehow. I didn't like how you had to pick all three first and then go back and adjust times. I hope that they tweak this a little more.

I agree the FP+ picking is incredibly clunky! 5 screens per park. Then if you want to adjust it's 5 screens per each adjustment. I can't even imagine attempting to change something in the Parks with the WiFi being slammed.

It went away when I could pick the FastPasses and customize the MB. I have a mid-October at Pop and it disappeared about a week ago.

I gave in and switched resorts to get fastpass+. We had a reservation for CSR for 10/11-10/20 and the price to switch to POR was over $450 for the same week so it wasnt happening. Than today out of nowhere I get a PIN for 25% off that week and POR had a royal room available with the discount!! I figured that was a sign since it was pretty much an even switch price wise. I just customized our bands and picked our fastpasses. I am pretty excited to try it out. I was having a pity party before, so I guess I can stop now

I am sure this information is in at least 10 different places, but way too many posts to get through. Can anyone tell me all the colors that are offered with the customization? Thanks in advance!!!!

Not sure if someone answered....once again way to many posts BUT we had the choice of the following....gray, yellow, blue, green, orange, red and pink. The orange, green and pink seem neon.

However, I didn't see any options for any of the fireworks (Wishes or Illuminations), electric parade or Fantasmic, and I've heard that people have been able to reserve those. Thanks. It's bc I can't get my travelocity tix to link.. I check in to POR Oct. 5th. I was able to do magicbands, but can not do fp+.

I think those choices are only available for weekends. I only had an Illuminations choice on a Sunday.

I think that Wishes and Illuminations FP+ are only options on weekends. I had an Illuminations option for a Sunday but not for a Tuesday. I have read others make the same comment on this forum and others.

I have been trying to book my FP+ ressies (staying at POR Oct 17-27) and I did one day and then decided to check with the rest of my family before booking the rest. Now I cannot seem to book them anymore! I tried calling IT twice and both times they have told me that I have to wait for the "official invite". SO frustrated! What am I doing wrong? I already customized our magic bands on Sat. Can anyone give me any suggestions? TIA.
