Disney 2013 Pictures...

Ronfin, that's a great set of shots. I wish my family would participate like yours. My girls hate photos. Did you stick to the 24-105? Also, what flash did you use? On board or external?

I look forward to seeing more of those great shots. Thanks for sharing.

I have to bribe them to participate in all the pictures. They get annoyed at the number of pictures I take, and on top of that, using a PhotoPass+ all the time too so I'm in some of them! haha

I used an external flash in some of the shots, but mostly they're all done with natural lighting, and some adjustments in post with Lightroom 5. :)

I have total photo envy? Are you a pro?!

A Pro? Oh God no. Just a huge photo enthusiast. I appreciate the compliment. I'm just trying to get better every day since this hobby is my biggest passion aside from my family. :)

Thanks! Just finished working on another 100 or so, and will upload them later. A lot more inside the ride pictures, and low-light shots. :)

OK just uploaded 60 more pictures. A lot of low-light shots from inside some of our favorite rides! Enjoy!

Check-out the floating head from the Haunted Mansion!!!

Well your work is certainly inspirational. We are taking our first trip to Disney in November. I have been practicing a lot with my DSLR, canon t5i, and still do not come by manual naturally. If I get even 20 shots that are close to yours I will be happy. We have a photo pass already paid for as well just in case.

Man, the 5D MkIII has awesome low light capability! I am jealous! What lens are you using for the Haunted Mansion pics?

Thanks for sharing.

I had the 24-105mm f4 on it the whole trip. With the ISO boost it does very well in low light. I haven't even begun to use the 50mm 1.8 yet. For websites, and printing to A4, you won't see much noise unless you blow them up larger. :)

I really want to make that jump from the 7D, but thats a big jump! I dont really need it of course, but I would like a full frame.

BTW, were you with the 3ID? I was at Ft Stewart, 97-99.

I had the 7D and LOVED it. On the crop you're getting 18 megapixels whereas if I were to crop down to the same image I'm only getting 9. The 7D also does better in other areas too. Here's a LINK to checkout comparing the two. It's a trade-off for the higher ISO, but the 7D is still a beast!

Spent my first 3 years in the 3rd Inf Div, 3rd BDE, 4/7 Inf in Aschaffenburg West Germany back in '89-'92. Best unit/Div I ever served with in my total 18 in. Went to Iraq with them too. Once a Marne soldier, always a Marne soldier! :)

Thats cool. I was not there long. I went EOD from there in 99. I have been at this over 20 now and am about to retire.

Thanks for the 7D info.
