Thank you to everyone who kept this thread going and posted the news about the booking date! I got a 7:40 on 12/1, perfect timing for Holiday Wishes on the first night of my Christmas trip with DD!

My buddy got on about 30 mins after me and got us a better time. 5:15 vs 7:10! How did that happen? So we can go earlier now for the kids. I'm very very happy. Now I got to email Donald about our DD cake for her 4th B-Day! I'm so happy they will be doing it again for her. They did her 1st B-Day cake too!

Did you search for a specific time? Or just select "dinner"? I found that makes a difference sometimes.

Got mine for Weds, Sept 25th at 5 pm. Said goodbye to my Victoria and Alberts reservation, but we'll do V&A another trip.;) My girls are 3 and 6 and was a little nervous leaving the 3 year old at the NVC.

This just simplifies things. Plus we are staying at the Contemporary so taking an elevator back to my hotel room sounds pretty sweet!:thumbsup2 Was there on the last night before the refurb and will miss the reopening by a few weeks. Looking forward to seeing some of you there!

My Wife is super happy. We are eating at CG on her birthday. I made an ADR for Sept. 14 at 5:35. This will be our 25th dinner at CG. It is the only restaurant that we eat at on every trip.:)

Of course I forgot that reservations opened up this morning :badpc:

I tried a few nights in Jan and there were only 7:20ish times and 8:50 times left. Did 8pm fill up already? On all these nights?

thanks to all that contributed to this thread!:thumbsup2

got our ressies for first week of December. Surprisingly got a friday night 12/6 no problem but couldn't get monday for the same week 12/2, maybe something going on that day. checked for both at 5:59

Reminder to those checking online, if you don't get a time for "Dinner" as a time choice, pick an actual time. It sometimes will say "nothing between 5:30 and 10:30" when "Dinner" is the choice, but you select say 6:00 and it will give you a bunch of times to choose from....quirky. same thing when you pick 7:30 and it says nothing within two hours, but you change it to 6:00 and you get times.

Got to make reservations for 2 nights. one at the beginning of our trip (Oct 30) and one for our last night there!!! Very excited..........:cool1:

I also forgot about this and just happened to wake up about 20 minutes before the phone lines opened. Tried MDE to see if that would work and it said to call. Then tried the WDW website for the heck of it and that let me make a reservation. No problem getting the day I wanted for 7:30 in November. Can't wait to check out the changes.

It says NOTHING available for Dec. 2nd...for ANY time...I've plugged in a couple different times...for 4 people...5 people...6 people. (We have 5 of us.) It's like the restaurant is CLOSED that day. Or they didn't load that day. :confused3 I'm trying to call, but of course all circuits are busy. :sad1:

So what time did it open up? I got on at about 6:20 and got a reservation for 7:20 (I wanted 7:30 but that was not an option). Was it open at midnight as some had suggested? Or did people really hop on it in the 15 minutes it took me to wake my daughter up for school?

Will 7:20 get me some firework action at 9:00? I figure seating doesn't even really happen then--normally a wait.

Next question: Can you request a window seat?

word on the street is it opened online about 7 minutes before 6am

as far as "firework action" depends how fast/slow you eat, but I think 1:40 isn't that long for a meal there unless you rush. Plus, even if you finish early you can still go out on the observation deck to watch - unless you really want to watch from your table

You can request a window but it isn't guaranteed.

Got a Reservation for the first night of our trip!!!!!:thumbsup2 Forgot all about today being the day, good thing I checked the new posts!

No issue booking one reservation for October (for two) and two more for December (fourteen and two, need our own on a separate night for two after dealing with the fourteen with six kids under 9).

Thanks all for this thread and helpful information.

I just made an ADR online for Christmas night at 7:05pm. :cool1::thumbsup2

Do you know what they do xmas night? We ate there Thanksgiving night a few years back and it wasn't the regular cooking crew or servers. It was also a predetermined menu. Was just wondering if that has changed or not because we go for Easter this upcoming year and was wondering.

Yippee! Got my reservation for November 5th, two days before my birthday.
