Hi all! I'm trying to plan out which restaurants to visit...kids would be 3 and 5 years old. Family of six -- including their grandparents. Probably won't get back to Disney a lot so we're trying to make it memorable. Would like to know which is a better for value/experience/food during breakfast or dinner. Thanks for the advice!

Crystal Palace: Breakfast or Dinner?
Chef Mickeys: Breakfast or Dinner?
Ohana: Breakfast or Dinner?

Or if there is a place you would recommend we do both breakfast AND dinner, I'd like to know that too!

Here's some places I'm pretty sure we'll go to and when if it helps to give advice about the above places...

Kona Cafe: Breakfast
Tusker House: Breakfast

Via Napoli: Lunch
Be Our Guest: Lunch
50s Prime Time Cafe: Lunch

Hoop Dee Doo Revue: Dinner
Le Cellier: Dinner
Teppan Edo: Dinner

Thanks for the advice!

Breakfast for all three is going to be the better value. At 'Ohana breakfast you get characters, whereas you won't at the dinner. Plus a lot of people have reported waiting a long time at 'Ohana for their table even when they have a reservation. Also, the 'Ohana breakfast is served family style so you don't have to prep plates for little ones. For CP, the breakfast food is a little better than the dinner food, but we had a better character experience at the dinner last summer.

I am not a fan of Tusker House, but it is not food related. They serve the same juice that you will get at the 'Ohana breakfast.

Welcome to the Disboards!:welcome:

I would recommend CP breakfast, CM breakfast, and Ohana dinner.

We have only ever been to CP for breakfast so I can't comment on the other meals. It puts you in a perfect location to start touring when breakfast is over.

We have been to CM for breakfast and dinner and the food was a little better at breakfast.

Ohana dinner is one of our must do's; the whole family loves the food. The breakfast there is great too; it's served family style and it's nice not to have to get up for the buffett. Both breakfast and dinner there are great.

The only place out of the others mentioned that we haven't been to is BOG. The rest are great pics and our family has enjoyed meals there.

I also want to mention Biergarten. My kids love the band there and we always have to drag them off the dance floor to eat.

Hope this helps.:goodvibes

Thanks! I've been lurking on the disboards for a LONG time so I'm glad to get in on the action! :) And I appreciate the advice!

I second the biergarten recommendation. Kids LOVE that place, and my grandparents did too! The band and atmosphere are very disney.

I also say ohana dinner - for the unique food choices. No characters but they have a guitarist and activities for kids.

The rest of your schedule looks good. However I have heard the characters are the same line up between CM and TH. So one might be enough there.

A note, book an early ADR for CP before MK officially opens. You can enter MK when it is empty about 15-30 min before :). The castle will be right there for family pics on your way to CP, with no crowds. Its magic! :wizard:

Thanks! Yeah, I think I might change our Tusker House plan and add Biergarten!

I would definitely do:

Crystal Palace - breakfast
Chef Mickey - breakfast
'Ohana - dinner

You won't be disappointed!! :)

On a side note, we just got back about 3 weeks ago and Biergarten was our least favorite. We didn't like the food selections and there was no band or performances while we were there. Our reservation was at 5:30, so perhaps it was too early to perform. We did BOG for lunch and were very impressed.

Tusker House breakfast is very good.
Chef Mickey's is good for both.
Have only done breakfast at CP.
Don't care for Ohana.

Breakfast at all of them!

Not only is it cheaper, but in my experience, breakfast has tasted much better than dinner at those places.

When we went in May we saw the band perform twice. I believe they play nearly every hour, but on all of my visits we have seen the show at least once and then catch a piece of it again before we head back out.
