What is the best way to handle this. we are staying at POP for 5 nights in Jan. my daughter and her husband want to come for two nights and would like to have rooms near us. They live in Florida and were hoping for a discount. can we both just make our own reservations and then at some point ask that the rooms are close our should I just add them to my reservation.

They won't put two rooms on the same res in this situation. Just make separate reservations and asked them to be linked together with adjoining rooms requested.

They will do their best to honor it, but there are no guarantees.

I agree, I think you'll either have to make them as part of the same reservation order or call after the fact asking both reservations to be linked somehow with special notes on each to assign rooms near each other. This may have to be something you have to handle at the desk when you check in to see if they can accommodate.

Separate reservations. And it might be easier for them to accommodate if it was at the start instead of the middle/end. I really doubt you would get adjoining. Maybe close. No guarantees.
