Okay all you experts ... we have a YC CL SV room for November 16th-23. I know I want to request a daybed - we have a family of 5. Are there any other requests that would be good to make?

There is a section about room requests on Page 1, Post 13- FAQ. What is best for your family may be different from the preferences of other families. Ground floor? Upper floor? Close to lobby/transportation/pool? Away from elevators?

Just woke up back at home from a week at BC. Our family fell in love with the resort. The location was ideal, food options were great (we were not on DDP), the smell of the lobby, our mousekeeping, the size of the room, SAB...it was all fantastic. It's hard to imagine staying anywhere else. We visited GF and the Poly (our other resort wish list locations) and they did not feel as comfortable to us as BC.

Now it's off to unpack, do laundry, get the kiddos off to school, then start to sort through the thousands of pics that we took and our photopass pics.

Eventually I hope to get a trip report done.

I noticed here were still some requests for SV pics. These are not great but I snapped then early this morning before check out. Hope t helps someone. As someone who has in the past asked for a different room based on a bad standard view, I was content with the view we had this time.

We were facing the bus stop, which you really cannot see through the trees. Had a view of the roof. Spaceship earth to the right. Could see illuminations to the far right.

Would you mind posting these, along with a room description, on the Room View Thread? Just like you posted here, although if you could post bedding (eg- 2 Queens, no daybed) and general location (far from club lounge) and the fireworks/Spaceship earth info, I would REALLY appreciate it

I just wanted to confirm that BCV -- at least cash reservations - are included in the FP+ test for September. Our bands came today and I love that our names are on the inside.

I think so, but not entirely sure. Could a few BCV, both cash and whatever the other thing is, let us know if you are participating in the testing?

We are on day 6 at BC and I am sitting at SAB while my kids swim.
I have had 6 full days to really get a good feeling and experience the resort. I would def stay here again and my kids are in heaven with SAB.

We have never had any issues whatsoever finding chairs, and after people mentioning how difficult it can be, I was very worried.
We can see fireworks from Illuminations from our balcony.
The walk to Epcot is truly amazing! I mean....2 min walk.

I love everything about this resort except...... Wait for it......

1. The boat to HS. I know, I know...a lot of people love it. I Find it annoying. It seems to take forever, so we opted to walk one time. I wish there was an option for a bus since it has to stop at 2 other resorts. Then again, the bus prob would too.
2. The bus sharing with Swan/Dolphin and then BW. OMG.....the worst is the DTD bus. It takes FOREVER. I don't understand why they have to have just 1 bus. The bus should just be for Yacht and Beach. My DH said he would not stay here again based on the bus sharing. It took us 50 min tonight to get from DTD to BC.
3. The lack of food court options. I know, I said it, but We like the food courts.
4. Our room was not very clean. By initial appearance, it was...and then on day 3 we opened a drawer to find bagels from the previous guest, a dirty bandaid in a corner and a plastic bag under the daybed.
5. That SAB opens at 10am. 10am, really? I know other guests as well were shocked by that. I think it should be earlier.....even 9am, if not sooner. We like early pool time.

All in all, I really do like BC. The smell of the lobby is memorable and the CM are truly beyond nice and welcoming. The location is undeniably the best.
The positives outweigh the negatives for sure. (well, except for that DTD bus)

I am really really happy we stayed here.

As far as your dislikes- we are not big fans of the boat either. It gets you there, but is frustrating when you know you can walk there quicker.

I have heard mixed reviews lately on the mousekeeping. Ours was fine in July, but others have reported poor service.

I can understand about missing a food court if you have stayed at other resorts that have them.

Finally, the DTD return buses suck! To this resort and to just about every other resort on property. We either hop through EPCOT via a DTD resort or on our most recent visit we took a cab back to the BC. Best $15 we spent all week!

This morning's sunrise for those of you who were wondering how lovely it can be

A lovely start to a satisfying day all around. We popped over to US via taxi those guys and girls at Mears are brilliant even with a nasty accident thismorning they managed to get us to the park for opening! Managed to do all the rudes we wanted to.

Came back after purchasing some neat t-shirts then off to Epcot for dinner at Liberty Inn and back again so Ethan could have some pool time and we chilled out with these frozen babies

We have our magic bands. They work pretty well, but trying to get on MDE at the parks to look up your FP times or look up wait times, dining, etc sometimes is very frustrating. wifi isn't the best. And I need it to avoid roaming charges.

Today we walked to Epcot, then spent the afternoon at quiet pool doing laundry. At YC quiet pool they only have 3 washers. Totally inadequate especially since 1 was broke.
Tonight we watched the movie on the beach.

Sorry, Dee! I guess my post wasn't clear. I meant that I can confirm BCV cash reservations are included in the Sept FP+ test as we are taking part.

Have been able to use my wrist band for all purchases including dinning plan credits for 3 days. At at Ohanas, Chefs de France, and Garden Grill. They scanned my ban at the table. I have not had to get a band at the pool but I'm entering on the YC side. Getting in the parks are easy too. I will have 2 sets if room views for SV club. Moved yesterday. First room was... The only way to put is where you put people you don't want back lol. They had some room leak problems so had to wait to be moved. Talked to a CM yesterday and he said they try to have rooms ready for folks with bands because they know when you are here. Also used bands at magical express.

Glad you are having fun! Sorry to hear the laundry situation is still the same. Ugh! I think I will be packing more so I don't have to wash.

I have started the Disney/Beach Club part of my trip report from my July vacation. I am still posting updates from the Dark Side portion- I will probably be alternating posts/going back and forth.

I have indexed the chapters with links on Page 1, Post 2 of the report if you just want to follow the Disney parts.

Right now I have my arrival at the Beach Club chapter (Page 19) and will be posting my room pictures in a couple of days.

Ha! We leave tomorrow too, glad I'm not the only one not packed! I work all day today too...ugh. We do have a 4 p.m. flight tomorrow though, so that buys me some time!

Loving that my ticker is closing in on less than 3 months! +

Not loving what JetBlue is doing to my anxiety.

Here's the situation.

I work until about 2:50, and we live about 35 min. from the airport. Since we're not checking any bags for this short trip (4 nights), we rolled the dice and booked a great deal on a non-stop flight that will get us to Orlando that night at 8:10 P.M. That puts us at the YC by hopefully 9:30-ish. This of course means that the flight is at 4:50 P.M. That's right. We're giving ourselves 2hrs. to get me from work to the airport, through security and to the gate. Bags will be packed ahead of time, DP will be waiting outside of my work in a running car, and we will book it to the airport, park in the closest lot, we'll have our boarding passes printed...and though we won't have time to relax at the airport, we figure we should be fine....

Well....
JetBlue keeps bumping our flight up, as in posting it to leave earlier than originally planned. Instead of 4:50, as of this morning, we are leaving at 4:37. I know it's only 13 minutes, but if they keep inching the time up...we're going to get to a point where we have to back out of this flight and that will royally screw things up.

Has anyone else had this experience with JetBlue? Do they just keep inching it up as the trip gets closer?

2. Should be activated any day now- maybe Sunday.

Don't know! The system is so buggy and not everyone has been able to book their selections or customize their bands at the same time, even if the check in day is the same.

There was (is) also a problem specifically with Sept 30 according to another poster on this thread- not sure if that is part of the issue you are experiencing.

Some people have been assisted by Disney's IT, but this might be difficult for you being in the UK.

Keep trying. As others have said, they have nothing for awhile and then the right windows magically appear on their MDE accounts.
