I found you! Still traveling (get to go home tonight) and I was afraid y'all would move and it would take me forever to find you.

I don't know why I thought that would happen. Dee takes such good care of this thread and us. :goodvibes

Good morning to all! Tell me ALL about BC club level! We don't travel until the end of May, but I'm a little OCD with my planning. My husband refers to it as "Disney Nazi planning". Do they contact me? Do I contact them? Can I do my ADRs and they do my Pirates & Pals cruise, Tomorrowland dessert party? Thanks!!

Well I am late to the party..lol..page 5 already!!But see there is a lovely new thread...:goodvibes Thanks Dee

I am no expert on anything BC or YC...but am familiar with staying CL..and IPO should be contacting you..but there is no harm in sending them an email ( that info can be found at the beginning of this informative thread!) ..or giving them a call...They can make all of your ADRs if you like...

Omg!!!!! Last night I was so busy packing that I didn't check in with the board I wake up to a new one!!!! This time tomorrow we will be in route to WDW!!! I think I'm almost as excited as my 3 yr old.

This morning conservation was how I was a "big meaning" when he asked if we were leaving for Disney today. I told him no tomorrow morning so I have lost my title of the "big boss" to "big meaning".

First, a great big thank you to Dee for building us a new home!!!!

Such a helpful thread, thank you so much!!
Also, I know you need to show your room keys to use Stormalong Bay, but with the magic bands what will happen? Will we still be issued room keys we need to use along with the bands??

When we were at the YC last week, we were issued KTTW cards and were advised to take them with us in case there was a problem with the Magic Bands.

Is there a bounce back offer in your rooms? Hoping for room discount for next summer, and not the free dining!

The only bounce back in our room last week was free dining. I didn't call to find out if anything else was available, so can't help there. I would have to believe that there isn't anything out for next year yet.

I'm starting to have second thoughts about BC:( is there really only a 50% chance of getting a balcony? That's important to us....and I also read how you may be stuck walking endless halls and turns to your room. Are the buildings I should request to be closer to SAB...or Epcot? Last year we stayed at GF and were spooked I think. It was nice having a large balcony and everything being compact.

Hi again! Question... It was stated on another thread that you have to do online check in to be eligible for the MBs. Does anyone know? I really didn't want to do online check in in case there was a chance at check in for a different room/request.

Thanks!

This was definitely not true for me. I have not (and do not plan to) check-in online and was able to customize my MagicBand and get Fastpass+ selections no problem. The MagicBand option just popped up on Monday and the band itself is being delivered today. whoo hoo :banana:

For starters, make sure you read Post 12 on Page 1 of this thread, all about Club Level at Yacht & Beach. I have more pictures I'll be adding, eventually, once I get through them, but I can promise it will be before your trip!

Yes, they should contact you, but you can also send an email to them.

I always handle my own dining reservations, but you can ask them to do the other bookings for you. People on this thread have used them for the dessert party and have been very pleased that the IPO took care of it.

The BC lounge will be enlarged early this year. We don't have an exact timetable. If I had to guess I would say that you will be using the new lounge.

Happy planning!

Thanks Dee for the excellent work on the new thread. By the time I finished catching up, 2 more pages had been added. LOL :rotfl:

You big "meaning" you! We will be waiting for takeoff this time tomorrow too! Flight at 9:20. Woohoo! My kids are now bouncing off the walls! Trying to make the day go by quick so it can be tomorrow already.

Our flight leaves @8:10. I just can't wait to be n the plane. My sister & her family are traveling with us. They are all first timers.... Once we are in the air I will calm down.

Okay all you experts ... we have a YC CL SV room for November 16th-23. I know I want to request a daybed - we have a family of 5. Are there any other requests that would be good to make?

If you really need the balcony, YC is the better choice.

Closest to lobby is probably the more centralizing description if you want to try to avoid end hallways. YC and BC have just one building each.

My feeling about the long halls is a little different than many folks: I love the set up at YC/BC!! With two or three walkabouts you can find all of the short cuts (usually going outside) that make the walk far shorter. To go from the farthest out YC (or BC) room to the lobby, using shortest distance, which may mean outside some of the walk, is not as far as the walk from some buildings at GF to its lobby. The YC/BC complex is well designed and fun to maneuver. It is spread out on purpose -- it really is part of the charm. :goodvibes

Long way of saying: I would not be afraid of the long hallways.

I've been asking the same question. In one thread, everyone insists you have to do online checkin, in another people have said that they didn't but were still able to do FP+/MBs, some said only at the 30 day mark, though, and in another the claim was without online checkin you can do FP+ but only get the grey bands. :headdesk: It's really frustrating me, because we check in 10/10 and there have been reports of those dates being open for FP+ bookings already. I'll check in online if I absolutely have to, but I'd prefer not since we booked our room through Expedia and they had trouble putting a room request on it (want to try for a king bed).

I really this is all in a testing phase so some confusion is unavoidable, but really? This is unreal!

How many days before arrival did the options appear? Am I just stressing too soon? And did you make your selections through the MDE website or app?

There is no guarantee of a full balcony. You could switch to the YC if a balcony is a must have.

The resort is all in one building, so most likely you will not have to walk as far in a BC hallway as you would at a resort that has many separate buildings. There are a few room locations that are a little bit of a longer walk than others. But I think that part of that is the fact that walking down hallways is very boring. We stayed in the Tahiti building at the Poly, and that was a long walk - longer than any BC hallway.

So....just wondering...I just found my way to the "old" Disney website trying to find a place to add celebrations to the ADR's which apparently we can no longer do ourselves without calling. I managed to get it done for BOG weeks ago, but none of the others are giving me the option. Anyways, I read that maybe I could do it on the old site. Tried, but it's not able to pull up the dining reservations at this time. Okay. BUT I looked at the resort reservations details and noticed that in Room Category Type is listed "Garden View" and we booked Standard View. Do you think that means they upgraded us to a Garden View? :confused3

It would be nice...we'll be on the plane this time tomorrow!!:cool1:
