Yes! I just did our online checkin today, and it asked for the times we would be arriving and departing.

If you are checking in early (between 6:00 and 7:00 AM), but don't need the room to be available until later in the afternoon, is that something you can specify on online check in, or do you need to say 6:00 check in, and clarify the situation with a fax?

I'd just tell them I'm checking in at 4PM. It won't matter if you're there early, but it's more important to have them think you can wait for your requested room.

I have a question about online check in. You can check in 60 days prior online, but I will still have a small balance that I will not pay off until the 45 day mark. If I have a balance can I still do online check in???

Got our bands today!!! Staying 14-23rd :)

I can not get over the fantastic packaging. It is really really well done!! Makes you feel like you spent thousands of dollars on a magical vacation... Wait ;)

Our bands came today too!!! We just customized them Saturday. Gosh that was quick. Got home to find a brown box in a plastic bag laying in the mulch next to the mailbox. Had no idea what it was.

You know, I didn't even think about it like that. I assumed that they wanted to know the time of check-in for CM allocation purposes. As in, if 45 people want to check-in between 7-8am, they might want more than 1 person at the desk. Since they state that check-in time is 3pm, I would have no expectation that a room would be ready before that time.

We're planning to check-in at 7:30am and then head to DHS for rope drop. I'd been thinking I could just verbally let them know we are in absolutely no rush for a room.

Maybe someone with more experience with the resort can chime in if they think we should fax to clarify.

Hello all:). We just checked in this morning to POR for our first stay in this resort. We did online checkin an when we arrived this morning at 6:45 our room was ready but we went straight to MK. We had a great morning with no waits more than 15 minutes and are on our way to our Alligator Bayou room now to settle in and pick up our mugs etc. we are in building 36 and can't wait to get inside!

It also explains some of the more random than usual pricing for next year! Believe me, this is NOT really free, Disney expects to get their investment back somehow.

The eventual capital investment in the whole nebulous 'Next Gen' project would easily have built a fifth theme park.

A couple of hours before a guest's stated arrival time, a backstage CM will find and allocate a room which should hopefully be ready for you (if possible) and prepare your welcome pack ready for collection. Then when you arrive, everything is waiting for you to pick up and ideally you'll be able to go straight to your room (that doesn't always work out for early arrivals of course, but that's the aim). However, you might not get requests fulfilled that way as they only have a limited number of rooms in their Ready inventory at any given time.

However there is an option in the Online Checkin system to select to prefer to wait for more of your requests to be available, but at the expense of probably not having your room ready as soon as you arrive (as it may be a room which isn't checking out until later). I'd suggest selecting that option in your case.

I was quite surprised at the daily turnover levels they get, by the way. At Riverside alone for example, less than 300 checkins would be considered a fairly slow day, 300-500 would be about average, and 500+ is busy. Prior to finding that out, I'd have guessed at maybe about 200 a day...

Thanks, Andre! That is a great idea.

Perfect. That is exactly what I was wondering. Thanks.

Yippee! Patient 0 could not wait to put hers on, but we got our bands! Exciting!

I am 59 days out and finally saw the ability to do online check in. I went through all of the steps but when i went to finish i got an error message that said unable to complete online checkin try again later. I did that a 2nd time and got the same message. The 3rd time i went in it now says modify check in.... I am looking through all of the steps again and see that it doesnt have the updated credit card stored but the pin numbers and everything else was saved. Should i call someone or just give it another day or so and try again?

Also i cannot do anything with Magic Bands or Fast Pass+. Is is still too far out for me or do i assume that i will not be included in the test? Kids are unaware but we arrive Oct 18... SUPRISE!!!

I shot a number of panoramas around Riverside while I was there...

And here are a few more, just preliminary low rez versions for now but they're still kinda fun. I've again gone for a warm, slightly over-saturated colour balance. It makes them feel a bit like 360-degree postcards I think, and I prefer them this way to colder, but more natural, light temperatures. What does everyone else think before I carry on to produce more full versions?

Riverside Mill and Marina: www.portorleans.org/images/panoramas/POR-Main-2013-2741-pano360.swf (this one was a bit of a risk; I really didn't think I'd be able to compensate for the exposure issues of shooting some of the angles directly into the sun - but it worked out OK I think)

We just changed our ressies to POR a few days ago for the 2nd week in October. Do you think we have a chance at MBs or do you think test people have already been picked from earlier bookings?

MB testing starts for POR Sept 3.

We're checking in to POR on Sept 22nd (yippee!). I did the Magic Bands, and got my FastPass+ stuff all reserved. I was wondering if anyone has gotten a FastPass+ for BOG lunch on Sept 27th or later? It says none available for that day and the 28th, but there are available times for every other day before the 27th. I was wondering if maybe the system hasn't gotten that far yet? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that is the case!

I have the same problems. Fastpass+ till sept 28, so 3 days done. We arrive on sept 26 after Dream Cruise. But no Be our guest reservation. Only possible on sept 26, but no later date is available. So we have to wait I think

Can you only do magic bands 18 days out? Or is it 60 days out like FP+?

You can making magic bands from the moment you make de online check inn.I can make changes till aug 26, exactly 1 month for arrival time. So if I wait till 18 days I cann't customize them.

Just relogged in again to MDE - my tickets are linked but my sister's are missing:confused3:scared1:

Gonna have to call tomorrow to find out what went wrong....

and my BOG ressie - no more FP+ times for the day I wanna go:sad:

sent my sister a video of POR someone took in March on youtube.....she is so ready to be there....just like me!

K - gotta go check out Andre's pictures:thumbsup2
