I am a 41 yo and I went down the slide. I don't recall seeing a height requirement on any signs. It might of said the depth where the slide comes out which is between 3-4 feet.

Kids came down in life jackets and the life guards let some parents wait near the bottom to assist their kid.

It's just dark inside for a bit. I wore my goggles sine I lie to see and I wear contacts. Most of the time I never went under when I came into the water. But sometimes I did. It just depended on if I was sitting or laying.

What I want to know... is there a -maximum- height for the slide because my inner five year old is soooooo looking forward to flinging her overgrown bum down it. :banana:

My DH and I both went down the slide a few weeks ago. My DH is almost 6'2", so no maximum as far as we could tell!

Yes all the resorts are involved. What did the letter say?

It said we are glad you choose a Disney resort for your vacation but that all the refrigerators are being disconnected and to please not use them and sorry for inconvience.

:(

Wow. For some reason I thought they were almost done dealing with the refrigerators. I thought I had seen posts from people who said that they had gotten new ones.

I think it is a form letter they are slowly sending to everyone. Covers their butts now instead of when you arrive.

I hope by December this isn't a problem. We are doing standard view because we would have a fridge. We had planned on bringing soda and water to make it sort of like club level for us. This is what we mainly used the lounge for. I don't like the idea of having to buy cups and running back and forth to Capt.Cooks. It would be rather hard for us to be able to afford CL again. I also do have a medical reason for needing a fridge. My insulin needs to be refrigerated.

9 days from today we check into the Poly for the very first time! 10 days from today DH and I renew our vows on Luau Beach. I am so excited! I do have some last minute questions though that I was hoping some of you could help me with.

Are there any "must dos" while staying at the Poly? The day we renew our vows we are going to be hanging around the resort all day. I've never not gone to a park during the day. We could easily spend the day at the pool, but is there anything else fun that we should look into?

How long is the jogging trail at the Poly? Is it easy to follow? Also, when is the fitness center open at the Grand Floridian? It is my understanding that Poly guests can use the gym at the GF. Thanks!

I am so excited this morning and I just wanted to share with y'all! Booked a room for 10/15-10/22, standard view using room only discount!!!!

I have been trying for 2 weeks for any room and something finally became available. We have been to WDW many times but this is our first F&W!!!!

Haven't stayed at Poly since July 2010. And our last trip was July 2011 at BC. Can't wait!!!!

Glad you were able to book the Poly :).

But I'm super excited to have a trip in the works, our first time as a family of 4- my DS will be 6 months at the time. That's why my DH was only willing to stay at the poly - we can walk to both the MK and EP monorail with the stroller and not have to fold it up and juggle it on a bus. I'll be lucky if he agrees to go to the AK at all this trip, and we'll probably get to DHS by monorail to EP and walking to the studios. He really hates the buses. I get it, but to me it isn't that big of a deal.

Have fun planning......the Poly is an awesome resort :goodvibes.

I can't believe I'm able to say this............We leave for WDW in 2 days!!! So super excited to stay at the Poly for the first time. I can't even stand it! :yay:

:cool1::cool1:

19 hours until my first-ever stay at the Poly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great time......you're going to love the Poly :yay:.

Us too!!! See you tomorrow!!

How exciting :cheer2:.

I have 2 wks and 3 days until I'm back at the Poly.

It will be here before you know it :dance3:.

2 days for us too! Though we'll be at the GF for a bit before getting over to the Poly! Woo hoo! :cool1:

Have fun :banana::banana:.

45 days until our first time t poly.

You're going to love it :goodvibes.

Ok, it's done! She knows!!! She's out of her mind!!

I told her dh wasn't feeling well (which is true) and said we probably shouldn't go to the amusement park as planned. She looked very sad.

You could try and rent a cabana down by the pool. Get a Dole Whip and walk around the resort. Have lunch or dinner at Kona.

I am not sure on the jogging trail but the GF fitness center is open for Poly guests.

Awesome first day at the Poly! Sitting on our balcony in Hawaii enjoying the amazing view of the castle!!
