It was free when we went last September.

When we were there in May, connection good, speed slow and having to agree each log on, real pain .... But it's free..!

I think they've listened regarding those annoying T&C login prompts. I did not have to login once during our two-week stay, using six different devices - just connect and use. The same applied in the parks, very easy to use and it re-connected automatically as we moved around. My DD found she had to turn her wi-fi off and back on again occasionally on her Blackberry, but we had no such issues with three other Android devices.

It has always been free since ever they launched it back on 15 December 2011. Prior to that the resort provided a cabled internet service for which there was a $9.95/day fee.

Can you connect devices such as Roku or Apple TV at POFQ? Those devices cannot work on systems that require a login prompt via http.

You can try, but even if they connect I doubt there would be enough bandwidth for them to run effectively.

But aren't you meant to be on a Disney vacation? ;)

So I got one question. I've just been able to link our package to the WDW website (yay for the change to the website that lets us link the UK res number). Just wondering if we're able to do any edits to it? Like we're going for our Disneymoon, so we want to put that on the reservation, but I can't see anywhere for us to put that in. Or is that something we can do during online check in (that is still 392 days away :rotfl: )

Agreed. I think you'd be able to connect, but the slow speed would be an issue.

You'd have to call to add special occasions. Once you have the reservation, you can't edit it until online check-in, and even then there are only a couple general requests you can add, which should probably already have been noted.

I was sure I saw on here that POFQ laundry had changed to card only payment? Now I can't seem to find that. Can anyone help?

I'm pretty sure I read this somewhere before but am I correct in that you can get a sharps bin on request from check in?

Thanks in advance :)

We will be at FQ in 15 days!!!:woohoo:
My question is about the mugs..I missed the whole info on the sensors. Could someone break it down for me or point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Does anyone know if electric scooters (wheelchairs) are able to get on the ferry from POFQ to Downtown Disney?

Yes they are fine.

Andre

That's great news, thank you!

Does anyone have any insight as to what it's like to use a scooter/motorized wheelchair around the POFQ property? My mom can walk but she has some mobility issues after being type 1 diabetic for nearly 50 years :( and I want to make sure she'll be able to have a good time at the resort, despite not being able to steadily walk. Many TIA! :thumbsup2:

It should be fine, the walkways at resorts are plenty wide and buses are designed to accomodate reasonably sized mortorized scooters and wheelchairs. POFQ will be particularly good because it is smaller and more compact so she won't have to drive as far to get places. If she has her own and is used to driving it, she'll be well ahead of the game. Disney is very accomodating for all guests. Enjoy!
