Fridge Status Check-in *SEE FIRST POST

Did you have to ask for the credit? Or was it just issued to you. Thanks

We had to ask for it and the first person we asked didn't know anything about it. Just told us they had no fridges available but didn't offer any compensation. We then specifically mentioned that others were reporting getting a $15 credit per night but we had to get a supervisor involved to get the credit. I think it all depends on who you get. They are not issuing credit automatically though.
 
I actually did receive a letter from wdw travel co. the day before I left.

Glad to hear they notified some people, but I do wish they wold have notified all. Even though i used a travel agent, they still had my address and phone number and email addy on file. we received nothing. Plus, they are not even notifying at check in. Just a note on the fridge door after you get to your room. One of our rooms had no fridge and no note- just a big empty hole. Very poor customer service on disneys part. Very disappointing.
 
Sorry to ask but do we have to ask for a $15 credit a night for not having a fridge or is it given automatically?
 
We were at CBR 8/13-16. Trinidad North.

No note from hotel about frig problem.

There was a frig but not plugged in.

I plugged it in and it worked great.

There was a red tag on back of tv stand/dresser that said "not operational" but was not attached to frig , just kind of hanging from wires. :confused3

It was brand Avanti . It looked new so maybe just forgot to plug it in?

I have read about 7-8 people state they received the $15 per night credit and none of them had medical needs. They just requested a fridge after getting a room without one but none were available. At least 2 of them posted in the CBR FAQ thread.

You have to ask. It is not given automatically.
 


I just returned wed from our 10 days at Pop. I received the credit at check in but I had to ask for it

ETA: There was a fridge in the room with the sign on the front not to use it. While at the pool one night an older gentleman was complaining he requested a fridge for his medications, was told it would be in his room when he arrived, it wasn't and didn't get one for 2 days, he said he was told there just wasn't any available at the resort until that time.
 
We just checked in to Pop today. Fridge off with note on it, so no fridge. I asked about a credit and was told I could have one. I was also told I could put any cold items in their fridge at the front desk if I needed to.
I have gotten ice at the machine for our cooler twice so far and there seems to be plenty.
 
Checked into CSR today- connecting rooms. One fridge has a note not to use it, the other one is on with no note, but still seems like an old fridge.
 
When we. Checked in on the 12th, our room did not have one but we did get one delivered because I had an order in for medical purposes. The man who brought the fridge said they just got a delivery of 200 fridges that day.

I told them I booked this package a year ago with a fridge and we were staying for 13 days and Garden Grocer was delivering today. They told me I could use the fridge at the front desk. I finally asked to speak to the manager and finally got my credit, but I had to work for it.
 
Anyone have any recent experience at ASMovies? I checked the first post, no info on that resort there.

My mom & sis check in next week and she's curious to know. TIA!

Seriously? They expect people to walk to the front desk when they want a something from their fridge? The whole reason I buy things to keep in the fridge is so that I don't have to walk to the lobby/food court.
 
We are here at Yacht club & happy to report we have a fridge. :banana:
