September - Magic Bands?

Able to FP+ ressies but no magic bands. Been hearing that its a glitch. Staying at POR

It seems they are slowly activating more hotels and additional dates at additional hotels. Those at Pop, Contemporary, and Animal Kingdom can get FP+ later than yesterday. And now the Polynesian, Port Orleans, and Art of Animation are coming online. Some people have gotten just to FP+. Others have ordered bands. They may ore may not be done.

Went on MDE tonight as we are T minus 30 days out 9/13-21 @ Poly for our annual trip. It told me we could do all of our FP+ but no Magic Bands. I called, because when I first logged on, it prompted me to customize them-then the website was acting odd. I logged out and back on, and it just said "manage magic bands" on the right and nothing about customizing them I guess I'll try tomorrow.

I have an upcoming trip from Sept 25 - 30. On the night of the 29th I switch from POFQ to AoA for the night.


I just checked my FP+ page on MDE. It offered me FP+ only on the 29th or 30th. Curious.

AoA has started offering it but not POFQ. That's why you are only seeing it for your AoA days. I'm still delusion ally hoping more hotels will come online.

Maybe I'm insane.. But I'm thinking maybe if they're gonna offer it to so many hotels this month maybe they are seeing the response to fastpass+ to prepare for the huge shipment of magic bands. Because my fp+ selections are still there and I have hope that magic bands will be able to be customized sometime soon. I imagine with something so personal there is bound to be mistakes in shipment and who knows what else. I dont think its a glitch I think they're attempting a large roll out. Or I'm crazy.

I thought the website was different last night when I got to the screen for FP+ selections and it said a valid theme park ticket was required. I linked our AP's but they expire before we get there so it isn't letting me make selections. I'm getting the error Valid Theme Park Admission is required to make selections.

Does this mean I won't be able to make my selection prior to arriving at AOA 9/26?

Staying at CR 9/6 thru 9/15. Was able to order MB on Tuesday 9/13. Five people in our party. One is a 2 year old. Ordered all bands, today received an email that they have shipped. Went to UPS website to check shipping and they are to be delivered this afternoon. That was really quick. Don't think they are having a problem with shipment at all.

Awww thank you. We figure if it happen it will be awesome. If no we are still at a gorgeous hotel. And we still have the option of booking a one night RO at Pop if we want the bands THAT BADLY.

I dont think there is currently a problem with shipping I just mean with like all the possible shipments of mb with the new resorts rolling out that there might be shipping problems. This seems to be the largest roll out since it started. I have no doubts Disney is gonna make this as seem less as possible

Doing a split stay for 9/12-9/16 at the BCV for the Pin Trading event, then leaving and coming back on 9/20 for BLT for the night before going on the Fantasy, then back at BLT on 9/28 for the night.

Last night, I had no option to do anything with FP+ or MB's. Today, I was able to select FP+ times. Played around with it. So far, I notice that HS (picked there first because I know I'll be for sure at HS on the evening of 9/13) only has Muppet 3D, Tower of Terror, Star Tours, TSM, and RnRC available as choices. I have seen YT's of people using the MB to get onto the Great Movie Ride but it was not a choice this time. Nor was TLM show. I thought they would also be choices, but perhaps they don't see a lot of volume or the testing for September will not use them?

Still no ability to get a MB, but it let me make a bunch of FP+ ressies. I did notice that the system appears to be 'smart' in the sense that if you have say a ressie already for say the Teacups at 6-7, and you're trying to change the time you go on say Space Mountain, when you ask it to show you all times available, it will omit the hours of 6-7 because you already have a valid FP+ somewhere else during that time. On the one hand this is good- it should make people who were worried about reservation hoarders happy. On the other hand, when you're trying to shuffle around your times, it makes more steps for you. If your goal was merely to swap SM with the Teacups but keep their respective times, you'd need to move the Teacups first, them SM, and then the Teacups again since neither can occupy the same hour period. However, if your goal is to completely change the time, say from 9am to 6pm, there shouldn't be an issue as long as nothing is already sitting in that spot....

We are staying at POP Sept 14 - 21. This morning I was able to make our Fastpass + reservations for all the days we are staying. When i went to the main page it popped up to Customize your Magic Bands, but when i clicked on it there was no magic bands to customize or any option at all.

This happened to me today too (with the magic bands). I'm desperate to get these customized and ordered lol.

I also now have the make FP+ option, but when I actually try to make any it keeps saying this date is not available. I check into POR on 9/29 and I have seen people dating they've made FPs for dates through 9/28. So is 9/29 (and on) maybe just not open yet??

The test seems to have been extended one week into September for all August hotels. No one checking in after the 7th or anyone at a different hotel than the August test hotels has access to bands yet.
