Have you ever had to wait long at ESPN or BRG? We are staying at BWV in January and we thought about trying both of those places but with a party of 8, I am worried we will have to wait too long with a 3 year old. What time you do you usually eat at those places?

Shelly I just realized that the lunch and dinner menu at BOG are totally different, so I really can't tell you what we had. The dinner menu does look yummy. I wish I was able to get an ADR there. Can you believe I tried just about every date for the whole month and couldn't get anything?!!
We did only wait about 15-20 for lunch though so I was very happy about that!

I wish it was FL though.
I used to be a little afraid to swim in FL b/c of sharks, but they closed the beaches around last week b/c of great white sightings.

We are stilling her idea of GCs for dining too! We are not doing the DDP this trip, so I want it on Disney cards and then what's left I can add to the kids souvie $$$....if there is any left! And I bring cash for tips.... much easier that way~for me anyway...

We usually go early, so we don't have to wait. Like around 5 or so. I think that's when they both open for dinner. We've never had to wait. I think we have gone later than that at BRG and not had to wait. You will have to wait at ESPN if you go later. There's almost always a line out that door.

I hope we do too! I think the kids are more curious than excited. They want to see what it's all about, but are worried they will be bored and wishing we were at WDW instead!

Yep, we get WDW gift cards at out local grocery store and then we get fuel perks! (Free or discounted gas!) I wait for them to go on "double fuel perks", then it's twice the savings on gas!

Yep, totally different. One is CS and the other is TS. I'd like to try both, but I'm not sure we will get there for lunch this time. Maybe next year!

Yeah, BOG is pretty hard to get ADR's for... I have to try on Wednesday morning for a client and I'm nervous!!

Yeah, DS14 already says he's not going in the water because of sharks!!

That's what we do -- use the gift cards for meals and souvenirs. And we use cash for the tips. Not sure why. That's just what is easiest and make the most sense for us I guess!

That's the best! We used to sit way up on the sand until we discovered that right at the water was so much better. I've been surprised by a rogue wave which thought I was a little too close and decided to teach me a lesson though!

3 DAYS!!!



Your trip has gotten here so fast! This summer has flown by. I'm actually bummed about that. I'm not ready for school to start back.

I'm not sure what the weather is doing in Florida, but we have had a blast of fall here and it is HEAVENLY!!! I hope the front went all the way down South for you. We are going to have highs in the 70's all week and low humidity!!!!!!!! That is absolutely unheard of in August. It's been a weird weather year for sure. I'd check on that forecast again and see if this front is headed for Florida. It was like 95 yesterday and the air was so thick, you could hardly breathe , and then we woke up this morning to the most crisp, cool air! I'm loving it!! Hope it's headed your way!

Oh, and just wanted to tell you that it's official... we ARE going on our trip! I was willing to be the responsible adult and forego it this year, but DH was NOT having it. So it's on!!! We even added an extra night to the beginning of the trip and we are going to try out AoA... for research purposes of course... I know it's 'just a value resort', but I am really excited about getting to stay there for one night.

So how's the packing coming? This has to be a record for you for the longest those suitcases have sat empty!

We have cool weather here as well!! It's been raining for days, and this morning I'm sitting out on the deck with a blanket, cup of coffee, a sweat shirt and I'm still freezing! That would be wonderful if its nice and cool for WDW for you Shelly!!!

Thanks Jo! Yes I know the song and yes, that's what's running through my mind every year too. It surely isn't that I don't want to go, but vacation is a big chunk of $$$ no matter how you slice it and I always doubt myself on weather or not I need to let go of that much all at once. I'm always thinking, 'what if this and what if that!' DH finally told me the other night to stick a pipe in it, suck it up and pay for the dang trip already! So how can a girl argue with that??? What can I say... I'm weak... If the entire world economy crumbles while we're gone and we lose everything we have, at least I'll still have my Disney memories. Now all day I'll be singing Frank Sinatra's "They Can't Take That Away From Me"!
