Photo Crazy! 7 Nights on the Disney Fantasy - Western Carib - February 16 -23

Everyone had an awesome time, but I did feel really bad when my dad and my husband's mom got seasick! I didn't even think about the fact that someone would be sick. Once the seas calmed down it was 'smooth sailing' from then on out!

My mom in particular fell in love with cruising. I think I may have created a monster. :littleangel:

Pleased to hear that everyone enjoyed themselves despite getting sea sick :thumbsup2

Loving your report and all the pictures :thumbsup2
But I have to admit, you are making this first timer nervous...we are slated for the Western this coming February (1st week)...rough weather can happen anytime, right? It isn't any more likely in Feb....I hope?!

I am very nervous about being sea-sick, stuck in my cabin and thinking...why on Earth did I sign up for this?

Thanks again for sharing your experience! :beach:

Are you regularly prone to sea sickness or motion sickness? We've cruised in Jan/Feb before and had perfectly calm seas, so I don't think it's any worse during those months. Also, most of our group was 100% fine, so don't worry too much and have a great time!! :)

Best trip report EVER!

Thanks for going photo crazy. I can't wait to read your other Disney reports. (And thanks for the tour of your 08B. We booked an 08C GTY and now I know we won't be disappointed!):beach:

Thanks! Looks like you're cruising in the fall, that should be amazing!

Your pictures are amazing, brings back memories of my own trip. Thanks for sharing

I'm glad you enjoyed it! It looks like you will be setting sail again very soon - I hope you have an awesome time! :cheer2:

Thank you for the delightful blog -- loved your stateroom entry. Still have several to look at.

At CC, did you use a mask and snorkel in the Serenity Bay adult area when taking your underwater photos? Do you have to rent that from DCL to use there? Or was the water that shallow that you didn't need to snorkel for those fish and ray photos?

Really sorry you missed Grand Cayman -- altho a short cruise stop does not do it justice. It's one of our most favorite places. The first time we stayed there for a week (which was after "discovering" it as a cruise stop), by the second day my 6 year old grandson declared that he liked it better than Disney World (shock!) -- we came to an agreement that they are both wonderful and we love them both.

Oh goodness, I'm sorry it took me so long to see this reply! My husband has his own snorkel mask and fin set that he bought after our first cruise. He was in a fairly shallow area when he found the ray, but he did go underwater with his mask to get a better photo. There's still lots to be seen in the shallow waters of Serenity Bay even without a mask, though! It's so much fun to explore!

Great post. I'm starving now, after all those food pics!!! But...I also know what I'm going to order on the ship now!

Great TR, i enjoyed every pictures you took. Other than the Canon 2D that you used when you're near water. May i ask which camera you used for all other pictures?
