OBB - what if...

I was talking with my parents this afternoon and we started tossing around the idea of going on the Fantasy together next August (2014). I was going to book a cabin for me on board when I cruise the Dream in February when I'm traveling solo. Would I be able to book TWO rooms on board for the perks or just one since I'm traveling solo?

(We wouldn't know if sis will be on vacation or contract, so the possibility exists we might not need the second room (if she isn't with us, we could condense into one cabin and I would sleep on the sofa bed - which I will be sure to book a cabin with), but we wouldn't know until shortly before the PIF date.)

You should be ale to book two from for the same cruise, but I would not wait until February to book it. The price may go up between now and February, and even with the 10% discount in February, it might be cheaper now. You can always rebook when you are on the Dream.

Yes, each address cruising is allowed to book two rooms. I agree to book now though, especially for an August cruise. The price could go up more than the 10% you would save. Reshop onboard to make sure, though.

Not of consequence for the OP, but want to clarify for other readers...

You can book two cabins and get the OBB benefits for both, however, both cabins need to be for the same cruise.

We will be on the Dream soon (me, DH, and kids). We have 2 cabins booked. Is the max # of cabins that we can rebook onboard still 2? We are thinking of a family cruise for 2015 and would need 3 or 4 cabins.

Yes. If you, DH and the kids have the same address, you will be able to book two staterooms with full OBB benefits for the same date. You can book additional rooms and receive only the OBC.

Ok.....for those answering the OP question....I have a variation of that question.

My mom and me are cruising in February. We live at separate addresses. We want to book onboard for a 2015 cruise. But will need 3 or 4 cabins. Are we BOTH able to book 2 cabins.

Want to confirm, that even though we are sharing a room, we can still both book cabins with the OBB offer.

thanks:goodvibes

Thanks all! Booking now isn't a possibility (not to mention no on board credit as we don't do travel agents), so we will take our chances. My parents may not even be able to do it anyway, which would just mean one cabin for me.

We'll see what happens!

That's correct. Your mom will be able to book 2 staterooms, and you will be able to book 2 staterooms.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks. Do the rooms we book onboard need to have one of us in them? We are cruising again in Jan. & Feb., so I could reshop the non discounted rooms then if I am allowed to book them in my parents' names...

No they don't. You could book both rooms for people not currently cruising with you.

Sorry, missed the last part of your question. If you book all four on the January cruise, I don't know why you wouldn't be able to reshop two of them on the February cruise.

Great, thanks :) We will be onboard next week so will book 2 then and the others in Jan or Feb. Now, just waiting for 2015 dates to be released...
