Can anyone tell me what type of toiletries are in the rooms at POFQ? I haven't stayed at this resort in a while and I am hoping they have the bottles with the Mickey Ears on top.
They did have the bottles with Mickey Ears when we were there last September. The bottles contain shampoo and conditioner, now separate, not the 2 in 1 they previously had in the rooms. They also still have the bath soap and facial soap, but these are solid soaps and not in bottles.

Someone said around page 197 (ish) that they had been in contacted with the resort and they were hoping to have all fridges replaced/sorted by Sept 6th, I believe

H2O 'Blushing Orange' shampoo and separate conditioner (with the Mickey ears) plus bar soap and bar facial soap.

Just jumping in to say hello! I LOVE this thread and am so excited to be staying at a resort on site this time around. We went to Disney in 2011 for the first time with a 10 month old and 2 1/2 year old when DH had a conference in Orlando. We stayed at a wonderful resort near SeaWorld and it was a great experience but I'm really excited to have the whole Disney experience this time around.
We are booked in a standard view room from April 21st to 29th, 2014 at POFQ. I'm a teacher so we don't have much flexibility for choosing dates that are cheaper. We are also getting the Disney Dining Plan as I would love to do lots of character meals and it'll be nice to have that part of the trip taken care of.
My parents are also coming which I'm excited about. Our kids will be 4 and 5 and my parents have never been to Disney World so it'll be fun to experience it with the kids who probably don't remember much about the first time and my parents seeing it all for the first time as well. We have asked for adjoining rooms so kids can sleep and we can stay up a bit later if we want. I realize this might not happen but it's worth a try!
I just want to thank everyone posting here for all the awesome info. This is by far the most useful forum I've found and love the fact there's so much detailed info about POFQ. I had no clue which resort to choose and started by looking at value resorts. After reading through some of this thread (it'd take me days to get through it all!), I feel really good about choosing POFQ.

I booked a bounce back with FD last sept. we were at POP and booked POP again. About June I decided I was crazy paying to up grade the QS dining to the regular plan when MODS get if free. So for 250 more I got It moved from POP to POFQ. Very excited our first time staying MOD.

How fun!! We surprised my niece with a trip for her and her mother back in May for her birthday. I'm still not sure how we managed to keep the secret for soooooo long
And we are back at POR for free dining. Been stalking the website for room availability and today timing was right and our TA was able to switch us back from CSR. So happy to be going back to POR!!!

Jumping in!!! Just changed our F&W reservation from POP to POFQ!!! 
We will be there from 9/27 - 10/2! I'm so excited, as it will be my 1st POFQ stay. We have recently only been staying deluxe and we have only stayed at one other moderate (CBR) and didn't like it at all but I think POFQ is about as opposite from CBR as possible. Plus, with my 35% off, it can't be beat!!!
Looking forward to learning more about POFQ! 51 more days!!

My sister surprised her daughters back in 2008. They were supposed to be at school at day, and my sister wanted to tell them when they got home that they were going to WDW. But due to a snowstorm, the girls' school was closed and they were at home. So my sister told them, in front of a video camera, when she got home from work.
She started by saying, "you won't be going to school tomorrow". She then said, "because we're going to the airport, meeting Auntie Kathleen, and going to Disney World!"
Their eyes got soooo big and they started jumping around (after one of my nieces nearly hyperventilated!). Of course, this was right before Disney's TV ads showed people videotaping the same such surprises...what a missed opportunity, if only we'd known...
The girls' second surprise is that my dad and stepmom met us there. We knew they'd be there, but the girls didn't. We went into MK, rushed down Main Street, and told the girls, "look, who is that on that bench?"
What a great way to sprinkle some pixie dust on the little ones.

We are telling them on the way to the plane tomorrow! We are going to tell them we got an important phone call from Mickey - and he is excited to see them!
