Cross stitch show and tell

Glad to see your iron on did far better than mine! I should have done the iron-on first before finishing the piece because I ruined mine!

I did my iron after I finished and I was scared to death about ruining it! Yours isn't ruined either!!

Everyone's stitching is beautiful!

Keebles - I LOVE your 'Mickey and Friends' piece. I've never seen that pattern before and would love to stitch it! Who is the designer, and where can I pick that pattern up?

Thanks!

It was a "self-made" kit I bought off of eBay many years ago by a now defunct company. There were numerous issues with it throughout the whole process and I almost stopped it numerous times (glad it was the only kit I bought from them)! One of these days I'm gonna redo it my way, but considering the size of my stash, probably not in this century! I couldn't wait to get rid of the pattern once I'd finished!

If you don't mind me asking what sort of problems did you have? I can't PM anyone yet, or I'd say do that if you would rather say privately. The only reason I ask is that I actually saw that pattern on ebay and really liked it but won't buy it if there's issues. I'm not that experienced of a stitcher if that helps! Thanks!:)

This is a cross stitch my little sister was making for me when she was diagnosed with lung cancer almost 23 years ago. She died nine months later and I could never bring myself to finish it. Last year I gave it to my 25 yr old neice (her daughter) who has very few remembrances of her mother. I asked her if she would like me to finish it or would she like to keep it the way it is. She chose to keep it as is. I'm glad now I never worked on it. It was something very special my neice & I will always share.

I love the fact that it is unfinished. It's fitting and a bit poetic. A cross stitch left unfinished for a life left unfinished. I noticed it was still in the hoop. I think it would be nice to put it (still in it's hoop) in a shadowbox or something. Maybe add the floss left over, scissors, needles, and anything else associated with it. Make it a display piece.

Would someone be able to let me know how to upload pictures to the threads? I have a few Disney cross stitches I have made over the years including princess pillows for my dd.

I have a couple of books and the castle I think but now I don't remember where I bought the one kit and few books I have. Anyone know where to buy these others?

Beautiful work! I just learned to cross-stitch but hopefully one day I can do a Disney one!

I finished stitching this last night! I stitched it on 28 ct opalescent white fabric. I really wish the sparkle would show up in the picture.

I found the pattern off Ebay....it was a kit. That is where I find lots of my patterns.

All gifts from my mother-in-law:

Not a Disney pattern, but a piece of cross-stitched art with a Disney theme:

It actually took around 15 months since I took about a month off around the holidays to make ornaments for gifts... but I am happy to announce that "Past, Present and Forever" is finished. Now to wait for payday to get it framed. My tassels are horrible, but a size I could manage would be too big for the project. C'est la vie. Once they are flat under glass, no one will know. :)

You did such a beautiful job! Congrats on finishing it. What's your next project?
