I just called Disney about the refrigerator situation at POFQ and they told me that they expect them to be replaced by our Sept 6th trip...

For what this info is worth, thought I should share.

I am leaving the following day. Flying out of Manchester, we are in Chelmsford. I have a feeling FQ will have a heavy Mass. contingency as we have an extra week before school starts.

We've always gone this last week, leading up to Labor Day and it's been wonderful. I find the crowds are reasonable and we've had Free Dining each time. This is our first time at a Mod and I can't wait. I'm so glad we chose POFQ---while the other mods seem to have their pluses and minuses, I hear nothing but good about POFQ.

My kids don't start school until the Thursday after Labor Day, so plenty of time to get back into the swing of things after the trip!

Hope you have a great one!!!!!

All above is the same for us except our second time in a Mod. Look for the tall guy waiting for beignets!!!!

Thanks for the info! That's good news. I need one for medication, so I'll probably call to make sure at the 10 day mark, just in case.

I know this is probably in here somewhere but I forgot about another question. This will be our first trip with a little one (18months old) so how does the crib work. Is it a pack & play? Do we request it when we get there? Is there a fee bc we can just bring our own (driving)? Lastly...where do you put it? I am wondering if the space where bench is between the dresser & bathroom is big enough but having a hard time figuring out how something else will fit in these small rooms.

Thanks!

Pack and Play....request at the front desk when checking in.

It's a pack n play and they'll supply you a fitted sheet for it as well. You can request it ahead of time, and they'll note it on your reservation or you can request for it at the front desk when you arrive. The last time I requested one, it was not in the room when we arrived so I just called the front desk to remind them of the request. There's no fee for it. We were at a Value at the time so there weren't any benches, but the bench is easy enough to move over to the closet space area so you can put the pnp in its place instead. :)

Just changed to stay at PFQR from CSR in November. I need some advise, which building would you request? We would love something close to the bus stop and if possible close to food area so we can refill quickly. If I would like a ground floor room, should I request that also?

List your requests in the order of importance. So something like close to food court and ground floor. Or switch the order if you really want ground floor.

my sister and are hoping for connecting rooms and the request is in our reservations. I understand it's only a request but am wondering if our chances are any better if we DON'T use on line check in.
Thanks

Whether you do online check-in or not has zero affect on getting your requests met.

Howdy fellow POFQers!

So after a few days to try and calm down (somewhat successfully, somewhat not so much, lol) It occurred to talk to you guys!

A bit of info - my sister is paying for almost all of this trip and I feel she is getting really ripped off b/c we picked the wrong resort. I want this for her. She's being totally cool about the whole thing. Me? Not as much, lol.

So - why no FD for POFQ? Has it been excluded before? What are the chances it will get it between now and October? I couldn't believe it was excluded.

We could of course try and get lucky and move to POR, but we don't really want too. We'd rather stay at POFQ.

TIA!
:hippie:

Because they don't need to. POFQ is a very popular and very small resort. They don't have any issues filling rooms. Disney rolls out discounts, room only and free dining, to fill empty rooms. Even when POFQ is included in a room only discount, it is usually 5% when the other moderates are 15-20%.

Evidently, it is usually excluded from FD promotions - we were just super-duper lucky. I hope you are able to get it at POFQ! :flower3:
