The ROFR wait

10 days into ROFR. We weren't planning on using our points until next year so I didn't think the wait would bother me at all. Wrong answer. The wait sucks.

Honestly? The best thing you could do for the next few weeks is to move away from the DVC boards. Spend some time reading the Theme Park board or the restaurant board. Or start devouring other people's trip reports. The more you hang around the DVC boards, the more anxiety-ridden you're going to be. You'll live and die with each ROFR report, even though those have little to do with your own contract. I've been through the ROFR process twice, and I know it sounds cliche, but trying to forget about it for a while (or distract your mind from it) is the best thing you can do.

I'll go one step further and suggest that you assume that you won't pass. That way you will be pleasantly surprised when you do. I have been pleasantly surprised six out of 14 times. :)

Day 13 and this is the 2nd resale contract we have done and we know the procedure, but the impatience is still here.

I am really worried. My docs were sent to Disney 30 days ago for ROFR eval which prompted me to call my closing company. They have heard nothing yet!!! They said they will email Disney next Monday about it. They have already emailed Disney last week. :worried:

Nothing but worry.

I believe the rules are that if Disney does not specifically ROFR a contract that I can proceed with closing after 30 days. I will suggest that to the closing company next Tuesday, if they have not heard from Disney by next Monday.

Did you call your broker? They get the ROFR notice before the closing companies do.

At this point I have not bothered. I am going thru SellMyTimeshareNow and my prior calls to them have gone unanswered. It seems my agent Brian is no longer with them and no one takes responsibility there to find things out and call me back.

However, at your suggestion I will try one more time.

Sent rofr Wednesday now just to wait!

150 bcv $92 a pt 150/13..150/14

We passed - Day 26 & 27 for our two contracts. I think I'm more excited that the wait is over. Well actually now we have to wait to get points loaded.
