Dining question

This is my first Disney Cruise, so this may be a silly question, but do they serve breakfast and lunch on the ship? Where do you eat...is it at the restaurant you are assigned to for dinner?

Hi, both breakfast and lunch are served in the buffet. On top of that, you usually have an a la carte option in one of the main restaurants and the quick service counters close to the pools...

You will have options for breakfast and lunch. These are not pre-assigned so you may go at any time you choose to any location that is open. As PP said, there will be buffet options and usually an a la carte option. For lunch there are also quick service locations. The hours of operation vary for the buffets, sit down restaurant and quick service. They will all be printed on the Navigator. The buffets usually have much longer service hours than the sit down restaurant.

From the Disney website. I clicked on the Disney Dream. this will give you a good idea or you can change it to the ship you are sailing.

You may want to get the" Disney Cruise Passporter " book. This book is great for first time cruisers.

Lot's of great info...
Did you know
You rotate through 3 restaurants for dinner
Your serving team follow you to all the restaurants
There are two seating for dinner 5:45 and 8:15 you will need to pick one
If you have the early dining you will see the late show and vise versa
Room service is free (you should tip) and available 24 hours a day.
Food is available on the pool deck all day and until about 10pm
It's a bit overwhelming cruising for the first time. This book really helps. I would buy just the basic book, no need for all the extra binders and stuff.

Weedy- when you say food is available all day on the pool deck what do you mean?

Not Weedy, but referring to the quick serve locations (burgers, hot dogs, pizza, wraps, ice cream, sandwiches, fruit, chicken strips (my personal favorite).

Ahhhhhh, the chicken strips. We probably make up our cruise fare in chicken strip consumption alone ;)

Fast food. Hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, the famous chicken strips, fruit, wrap sandwiches and allllll the soft serve ice cream you can eat. They change the flavors, vanilla, chocolate, banana and others??

We had blueberry and mango on our Hawaii cruise.

The Enchanted Garden has great breakfast fare. A nice change from Cabanas. Especially on port days as you can exit off the ship quickly since the restaurant is on a low deck.
