Sept 14, 2013 - Western Fantasy Cruise!!!

Been reading through the posts, have a question...what is the hype about "Hell"? I know there is a Hell, Mi., but nothing special about it:). The only plans I have so far is the turtle farm, booking on my own. Does anyone know if we arrive early enough to get the "shuttle" there, or will I need to get a taxi? For the FE, I usually get one gift for the adults, and one each for the kids.
Are any adults dressing up for pirate night? We usually do, it's so much fun!

I think I just want to be able to say I've been to Hell. :rotfl2: Mostly, I wanted the tour that visited the island *and* the Turtle Farm. I want to see as much as I can!

Joe and I have our outfits almost complete! He's really getting into it!

Going to "Hell" is mostly just so you can say you've been to Hell & back. It's some kind of geological formation that looks 'other worldly'. When we went in 2004, we really just went on a bus ride and that was the end of the road, where the bus turned around. The city buses are more like jitney's oversize vans. Hurricane Ivan and just been there a few weeks before, and lots of the tourist places were still closed. We had a very chatty driver who took us in the front seat with her and told us all about everything, from the hurricane to politics. It was an education,:rotfl2: which cost us the magnificent sum of $10 each, including tip.

IF you walk up to the bus depot and tell the starter where you want to go, s/he will make sure you get on the right bus. You can go to 7 mile beach for around $5. The driver will tell you where to get off and when to be back at the stop. Take water. It's hot in GC.

Well, Hello Happy Cruisers!

Can't believe I had to rescue this thread from PAGE 3 - Where the heck IS everyone?

Thanks to my friend Lisa, we have a reservation for a tropical paradise on Costa Maya. I AM READY!

Where are you going on Costa Maya? We're heading to Maya Chan. I hope we have enough time to enjoy it!

I haven't decided on what to do at Costa maya or Grand Cayman. I have the Jeep ride booked at Cozumel but I'm not sure yet if its a good choice. :)

I'm going to try and Book a Mixology class, the cocktail one I think.

Another thing I saw was a Cruise where a few Meet people brought a Different Specialist beer on Board so that we could have our own unusual special Beer of the World Taster Session. I think its about two bottle of beers you buy per stateroom and we share them to taste. What do you think!

We're going to Tropicante, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three. They all get rave reviews on cruise critic.

pretty soon, it will be time to think about packing.

Speaking of which . . . has anyone ever been to a Bar Mitzvah? We've been invited, and wondering what's appropriate to wear. It's in the morning, at a private club. Also, is this a gift giving occasion?

Off to tackle Mt. Washmore.

Happy Day, all!

My husband and I are organizing a Beer Exchange. The plan is each person will bring 12 bottles of beer and then we will trade off. So far, we only have 4 cruisers signed up :worried: I'm hoping some more will join in. I figure if we could get at least 6 people involved, everyone could bring 2 different 6 packs and still end up with 12 different beers. Let me know if you're interested!

Hi all

I'm not ignoring messages people have sent me or posts, it's just been a mad week and we sadly had our dog put to sleep on Friday, so haven't really felt like posting much. I will be around more this week.

I am so sorry... We lost our dog two days before Christmas this past year... It is hard.. Denisesinq.wordpress.com/favorites .

We are going to tropicante too!

And I have been to a Bat Mitzvah. Usually, the dress is indicated on the invite. If not and it is at a club, it is probably dressy. And, yes a gift is expected.

Can't wait till next month!

Thank yoiu! I knew a dis-er would know the answer!

We are totally on hold here - can't finish arranging the furniture, can't hang curtains because we're waiting for new windows to be installed. They were "supposed" to arrive July 18th. Then Tuesday. *now* the manufacturer says they'll be loaded on a truck today. Do I believe that now? Arrrrrgh!:furious:

Happy Day, all.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Yesterday was a lovely day in Northwest Georgia. Everyone who's been here more than a year says this is an uncommonly chilly summer, but I'm LOVING it. Haven't worn a jacket since I got here in April, and don't even know where my sweater is. Now THAT's summer!

Where is everyone? We were down on page 3 again this morning.

Are there any other scrapbookers on this cruise? Debating taking a little tool kit and a mini book to stick things in.

Happy Saturday, all!

Visiting my folks in south Alabama until Tuesday. I love my folks but sure do wish they'd move. This small town stuff is the pits!

Still doing good on my big diet endeavor. When I left home last Tuesday I was down 5 lbs. in 10 days. I know I've continued to lose. The cute Lilly Pulitzer outfit I brought with me I was able to wear last night and it fit. WooHoo!!!

DS17 found out yesterday his vacation at work request for Thanksgiving week was approved. Momma's not happy. That was going to be my "out" for Allure of the Seas with the inlaws. I'm not sure why I have such a foreboding feeling about that cruise. I think I've just got so much going on with the 2 cruises in September that I don't want to worry with "learning" a new cruise line. Got a text from my mil a few days ago that its time to start booking shows. I don't even want to know why or how to do this. I'd rather just not go. And I feel like such a colossal jerk-face for feeling this way! I have the best inlaws that I adore! Ugh!

That's my latest n greatest. Off to visit my gramma today! Yay!

We received our cruise documents today! :cool1: Hoping everyone is starting to get theirs too!

I'm brand new to Disney Cruising and have recently learned about Fish Extenders! I'm sure it's too late, but is the group still open? September 14th on the Fantasy. :)
