Thank you to Black! We are all so appreciative to you for bringing everyone this information and giving us the best chance possible to get our first choices.

I was able to book online this morning and secure a garden view at POR for December. We are so excited to be traveling to Disney during the Christmas season!

To everyone who is unsure of CSR, we absolutely love it! We would be staying their this year, but we wanted to have a little variety and thought that POR might be nice at Christmas time.

We have stayed at CSR with a newborn/toddler, toddler/preschooler, and adults only. Each trip has been enjoyable. We always request to stay in the Casitas... we enjoy the theming and find that they are nicely located in regards to bus stops and dining options. The pool/playground area is fantastic. Some of my best memories of CSR involve playing with my children on the playground. The food court has some really nice, unique items. There is also a small grab n' go area if you are in a hurry.

For those of you who may not already be following the disunplugged podcast, I suggest you watch/listen to their recent review of CSR on the June 4, 2013 episode. I think you will all feel much better after listening. This is a beautiful resort! You are going to love it!

I talked to a CM and wasn't able to get anything discounted at poly for 10/19-10/26.

Were you trying to make a new reservation or apply the discounts to an existing reservation? I have a friend who wants Poly around that time and they already have a reservation but she can't get through.

That seems odd. Why wouldn't they have put it on the exclusions list if all the discounted rooms were booked and they didn't need more bookings?

Ahhhh....I see. I almost canceled my ressie and rebooked with my youngest as a 2 yr old but I am too chicken!!

Haha, it would have been cheaper to just pay for my 3yr old out right with dining over anything else if I couldn't get the POR with the bunker.

I lucked out. Finally got through and only waited like 30 seconds after all that automated info stuff. And then, I lucked out even more by the POR bunker room being available and was able to book my family of 5 and ended up spending $400 less than what I originally had budgeted for. Great morning for me.

what is the cheapest Deluxe?

Try the Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge. They're typically cheaper than the rest.

My TA has been on and off hold all morning, and I'm going over every scenario in my head, so here's my question. I've tried the website but its not working....we are wanting to switch to POP, CBR or CSR BUT if they are all booked, what is the cheapest Deluxe?

WL and AK are cheapest.

I wasn't able to get anything but a busy signal this morning, (started first thing) but my sister-in-law tried calling 20 minutes ago and is already talking to a CM.

No POR for Nov 20-27, in fact not much of anything for a family of 5. She didn't find any suites, only the cabins and we would have to spend $1000 more to book that. Looks like we are going off site or booking two rooms at a value.

After being on hold on hour, I was let down. No FD availability for POR Oct 19-26. And the RO discount wasn't enough for me to switch out of my preferred location. Ugh.

No POR for Oct 18-22. In fact only mod available is Coronado, family wants to stay near Downtown Disney. Booked a room at POP, hoping there are cancellations at POR so we can book there later today or tomorrow. I am sad, but glad we are going.

Has anyone been able to do anything with a Poly ressie? The website shows no availability for either fd or room disc for 10/20-10/26. Gotta be a glitch, I hope.

We'll be at the Poly Oct 19-Oct 25.

Online I was able to get FD (or 30% RO) for Oct 19-23 only; Oct 24-25 are sold out. I went ahead and booked it and will call Disney to change my original Oct 19-Oct 25 to just Oct 24-25 and link the reservations.

Try changing your dates to see if can at least get some of your trip discounted. Good luck!

Who can tell me a little bit about Caribbean Beach?

Originally booked at AOA but since they were excluded I was going to use POR as back up. They of course had no availability. So my CM was awesome and looked around found CBR. Super excited just don't know much about the resort. Any input fellow DISers???

I personally LOVE CBR. It's been my resort of choice for many years! Beautiful and awesome island theme. If you can put in a request for the village of Barbados or Martinique. Both are close to Old Port Royale (food court) and both have early bus stops in the CBR loop...so getting a bus during peak times won't be a problem!

Well I waited for an hour and a half on the phone and while waiting I started to book online at CSR for the fd because POR had none available. Just as I was about to finish with the booking process, a cm came on and I did it over the phone. We are now booked at csr the week of 10/20 - 10/26 with fd. So, there's another room up for grabs at por. Thanks for all the info and help from disboards ! Good luck to all still waiting !!!

Wow, what a crazy morning this has been. This is the first time FD has been offered for when we were going, so I've never experienced the craziness.

After spending an hour and 45 minutes on hold, I got a really great CM. He tried for about 30 minutes to try to get into the system to change my ressie, but it wasn't letting him in. He told me to call back this afternoon, but I was about ready to book online anyway while I was holding just in case, so that's what I did.

This is a surprise trip so I had to tell my 4 yo that I was making an appointment. At 8:30 she said "What kind of appointment are you making? It's taking so long and I can hear the Disney music, so they must like Disney too!" If she only knew....

We'll be at POR in a RR from 12/18-12/26. So excited for XMas at WDW and the FD has made it even sweeter.

Thanks to Joe and Dave for keeping us informed and to the rest of you who kept posting to this thread this morning. It gave me some reading material while I was on hold.

For those of you who have already received their confirmation emails how long did it take to receive it?

Mine took 1.5 hours, but the reservation page online took just a few minutes. I got lucky and was done by 7:10am.

Hi ladies! Well, when I woke up at 5AM I decided to see if I could book FD online and I could! But there were NO rooms available at POR for Nov 21 - 30. So, I went with my other option...6 nights WL w/FD and then 3 nights at the Swan on points. It costs basically the same amount as staying 9 nights at a mod with FD. I am now dreaming of the boat ride over from WL to MK

So glad you both were able to get FD, even though it is not at POFQ or POR. You will have an amazing time! I do want to find time to visit POFQ though, don't you? I want a beignet, darn it!
