I have a question- right now we are booked for a garden room. Trying to figure out buildings if anyone can help. As ur coming out of ole port royale and walking towards the pool- looking at the pool the buildings that are in the right and left of the pool- I'd like to request on of those buildings facing the pool- anyone know what buildings they are and what category they fall into? Would it be pool view? I know we want ground floor and reading it said pool view was a top floor.

Building 5 facing the grass courtyard is a fantastic location. Close to main building and pool, short walk to bus stop on front of 4! We love staying in 5!

I've done the same thing, booked standard and asked for 5 and did get it.

I think it is a matter of a request is a request. If you were going in a busy time you might not get 5 but if you're hitting during a slow time they'll give it to you if they have it.

Thanks, that makes me feel better. The last 3 years we've always been during off peak times (September/October) so you're probably right about availability. Our trip next year coincides with 4th of July so I will rather request a different building. I figure if there's a better chance of getting something close to our request if we are asking for the right category lol.

Just stopping in...Tomorrow I can officially say we are staying at the FQ this month. :cool1:

22 Days, time to get packing!!

Booked today - we'll be at POFQ for the first time the last week of January 2014. :) We've visited the resort, but never stayed, so I'm pretty excited. I wanted to stay away from the values but not be in a huge resort. Having stayed at POR a bunch of times, we decided to try something a little smaller. The photos Andre recently put up have really made me look forward to staying at this lovely spot.

So, my countdown now officially begins!! :cool1:

POFQ is the best! :thumbsup2. We will be there around the same time as you. We stayed there last vacation and our family is hooked.

Would love to hear if there is a frig in your room when you get there.

We have only stayed offsite and in a value. I had my heart set on staying at FQ this fall and was thrilled when my sister got the Free Dining PIN in May and we were able to apply it to both our rooms. It sounds like FQ will be excluded from the Free Dining promo coming out tomorrow. Can't wait to experience FQ in October.:banana:

Okay, I have not yet had a room request noted on my ressie, and I am obsessing over this:scared1:

We are booked in a King room. DH said he really would like a river view room if possible.
I am leaning more towards close proximity to the bus stop. But from all that I have read, and after studying Andre's maps, it looks like most buildings fit that bill.

So, what would your building suggestion to me be for a King room with a great river view?

I think buildings 3 & 4 are the ones with no River views. So ask not to be in those buildings. Best way to get riverview is to book that category and then request a room with a king bed.

Standard room in building 4 or 3...does that exist? Or are they other views?

Also, does POFQ provides bed rails upon request?

Booked FD this AM but only had availability at POR so I'll be trying out a new resort this Oct. I'll miss FQ but my mom wants to visit for a beniegt.

We arrive at Disney in 4 days. So excited:cool1:

Question: If we buy the refillable mugs, do we have to carry them each time to the food court? I was thinking this morning, if we go to breakfast, have to bring our mugs but plan on leaving the hotel right after breakfast, do we have to carry the mugs around with us all day because we don't have time to go back to our room. Especially if the room is far away from the food court.

You do have to carry them each trip to the food court. POFQ really isn't that large, so I wouldn't think that it would take you very long to take them back to your room.

Have a wonderful time!!!!!!! :goodvibes
