Has anyone used Mears to go to Universal for the day? Where do they pick you up?

Yes. It was there in the front where DME drops you off. Not where the park buses pick you up. We were told a bus or commuter van would be there, but it just ended up being a car. So be aware of that as there was some confusion because of that.

In my experience, they pick up in the same area where DME stops.

That makes sense. Thank you!

Thank you. That would've thrown me too!

Hi, I am staying at POP from Aug 26 thru Sept 1st. I read on dis boards about people checking into pop was offered LM room at AOA. Is this true? I figured since LM had no free dining they all went to pop. Can I put it down as a request or just take my chances when I get there. I am excited for both rooms, but LM was first choice! Thanks!

You can't request to get a room in another resort, only where you want in the resort you paid for. I seriously doubt you will get switched to AoA, especially since that will be a slower week.

When were those posts made? Do you know where you read them? Typically, you are only offered another resort when the one you are at is overbooked. It is possible that the posts you read are when the LM rooms opened earlier than expected and Disney offered them because they were vacant. The LM rooms sell out regularly. Your odds of being offered one are about the same as your odds of winning the lottery.

Just changed my ressie from AKL to POP (this will be our 3rd time at POP) - with the $$$ I'm saving - we'll be able to do something extra (like a tour and a couple of added table service meals and/or shopping :cool1:) - requested 50's, top floor -

Now if I can just decide on a costume for MNSSHP on Sept 17th everything will be set....anybody else going to the party that night?

Does anyone know if they sell Almond Milk in the gift shop?

I drink almond milk (allergic to dairy) and they didn't carry it anywhere on property as of Sept. 2012. I spoke with several chefs due to my long list of allergies and they all told me it was not standard for them to have it on hand. :( I wish they would offer that or coconut milk but soy milk (I'm also allergic to soy) is the only non-dairy milk that is readily available for purchase. Some TS restaurants have rice milk on hand. I'm having some shelf-stable almond milk shipped to me at POP for our upcoming trip. :)

hmmm I could be wrong but I thought for sure I saw Almond Milk at Animal Kingdom Lodge??? I mean if it due to allergies, it may be worth taking a bus from downtown disney over to AKL & stock up on some for the week.

Need to have 2 cases of water shipped to POP, where is everyone ordering from? Walmart no longer ships water :headache:

We are doing Staples - ordering next Monday for my return to my happy place NEXT FRIDAY!!!!! I could puke I am so excited!

Awesome :thumbsup2

I fully endorse this idea. I would love to stay at a Deluxe, but... $350+ per night (give or take) is out of my price range.

The 17th is a week before I arrive @ POP.

 I got my Magicband!

Went out shopping this morning and when I got home DH had it opened and presented out for me.:goodvibes

I tried it on and at first it isn't very comfortable. So I found where I like it clipped for my size wrist. Took it off and then kept bending the band until is was more circle or oval like so it wouldn't rub one side more then anouther and give my wrist room to move around. It is so much nicer now that I worn it in. Guessing that is one reason they give it to you early so it is comfortable when you get to the parks. It is a nice soft plastic feel not like my watch which is harder. I'll try and post pics of it later if I can but photobucket hasn't been letting upload lately for me.

I can't wait to get back to POP in 111 days. I miss my Lady, POP waffles & bowling pin pool.

I did online check-in yesterday. We have two rooms--one for me & my children, and the other for my MIL. I was able to check-in for one of the rooms, but not the other. Did I actually check-in both since the reservations are linked?

Thank you to all who posted your thoughts and advice in our situation. Tell me what you think of my possible worse case plan. We arrive on the 17th of Aug. at pop for our room only if mum can't come what if I talk direct to guest services at Pop upon arrival regarding the checking in for the following day where our actual package begins?? I am wondering if less mistakes may occur if i do it face to face?!

I had another thought to those of you that might have an answer or experience. What about a room credit for her I mean if DD and I go without mum we will be there for 16 days it wouldn't be difficult at all to. Me a room credit for her tickets/DDP upgrade at all. Do you all think I would have better luck throwing that out as an option when we check in the day before for our room only??? Thanks again for any thoughts!!

Hello! We checked in to pop this morning and our fridge was out so we asked about any credit we could get applied and the CM we asked said since it was a complimentary service we could not get credit unless we needed the fridge for medical reasons and there are large fridges you can use at luggage check in if need be. Thought I would pass what we were told along! :)
