Disney Magic November 20th-November 24th, 2013

So is eating lunch different than eating dinner at Palo.

Brunch is very different from dinner at Palo. It is a buffet with a large selection of foods-pastries, meats, fruits as well as a selection of items that are cooked for order. It is a little less formal and only available on sea days. We almost always do brunch. We won't be doing Palo dinner on this cruise because we don't want to miss any of the re-imagined MDR's.

Like my dad said above. It's different as in its buffet with other items you can order. You don't have to dress as fancy for brunch either. It's great I love brunch, like dinner as well, but with new dining room want to go there for dinner. And on top of it since we are platinum palo is free for us so that's cool

So on the Dream there were 3 dinning rooms. We had a 3 night cruise so it was perfect. But this is a 4 night? Is there 3 dinning rooms on this one, if so do you repeat one of the rooms??
:)

We are hoping to join you on this cruise... still trying to make arrangements.

Have you made your finally plans?? Will you be joining us? Doesn't look like a lot of us yet. We might have the ship all to ourselves. LOL

Yeah, and the Magic three different ones and you will be in one twice. Not sure of rotations.

Hello. We just recently booked. I'm cruising with my DH, DS (5), DD (3), and DM. This will be our second Disney cruise. We sailed on the Wonder in March and got hooked! Looking forward to some holiday flair, too. We are interested in participating in a FE if the number of cabins is reasonable.

Im sure we can make it reasonable, by creating different groups. What do you consider reasonable? We haven't started FE yet due to the fact there are only 3 or 4 of us so far. But I'll be ready whenever we get to that point. We went on the Dream in Jan. and we were hooked. Excited about this cruise. Welcome !!

Most of the Cabanas are booked so there will be some more people at least

When and How do you suggest we start FE? You started this group and are the cruise expert,:) so I wanted to check with you first. :) the last and only cruise I went on I just did make it in last minute to a small FE group. We book very last minute. So I'm not sure how to start one up, but I'm willing to learn and help out or do whatever.

If you want to start a FE, I would suggest making a spreadsheet on google or somewhere. You can start it at anytime. Info that is usually asked on spreadsheet is Names, stateroom number, allergies to any food, gender and ages.

Once you have started a spreadsheet you can send me a link to it and I will post the link in the first post so then if more people join and want to do it can

bicmize was kind enough to start a FE Exchange list. I'll post a link to it in first post. If you have any questions about getting on the list you should PM bicmize

Hi Bicmize

I tried to send a private message to you, but the forum won't allow me to do so until I have made 10 posts.

This post is in reference to the FE. I have only participated in one (so I'm no expert by any means) and it was 8 cabins. I'd be open to participating in anything from 10-15 cabins. I have read about FE's that are as large as 75 cabins. While the concept is fun, that certainly can take away from family time on a short 4 day cruise. From what I understand, the groups can be small and if people want to do more, they ask to be added on more than one list.

Our last FE also asked about favorite colors and favorite Disney characters, which helped when choosing or making personalized gifts.

My only thoughts would be to nix the ages of the adults on the spreadsheet (ages are only necessary for kids to give age appropriate gifts) and add a column for favorite character.

Thank you for taking charge of the FE! :)

Thank you so much for your input. I'm kinda with you I have only been apart of one cruise FE group and I was not at the start of it. So this is kinda new to me but I love the idea of FE and my kids had a blast last cruise doing FE. So I don't mind putting in the work. I think it will be great to limit and do several groups if needed to keep it smaller. Maybe we should limit each group to about 10 cabins depending on number of people per cabin. So Im guessing that no more than 50 people in a group?? Group one I named Mickey Mouse, I thought it would be fun to label the groups by Disney characters names instead of just numbers. And I will edit the spread sheet to add favorite characters~ great idea!!! Thanks....... Let me know if you were able to add your families info.

If everyone wants I'd be happy to make a facebook group for this cruise. Of course you need to be friends to add people. So can't figure that out lol

Can you make the group and then post a link so that we ask to join??
So I just looked over on FB. Under my group tabs on the left side of post there is a thing that says "create Group" When I clicked it there are options on how to create it. I think with the name of the group we can ask to join. Let us know what you come up with. :-)

That's exactly how it's done. :)

JHmom2two, have you tried to use the spread sheet? It was my first one I have ever made so I wanted someone else to test it out to see if you can get it to work. Hoping I shared it right. It opens on my computer but I made it so not sure if it will open on others. Thanks!! :thumbsup2

Bicmize, I was unable to add our information. The document says "read only". It's probably a good thing that info is input by one person so info already put in doesn't get deleted or edited by accident.

I'm thinking we may definitely need a facebook page so we can contact you easier to provide FE information since this forum doesn't allow immediate private messages.

On a side note, yes, the Facebook groups are great. They have a wealth of information on them. I have some of my stuff posted in the albums on the Fish Extender page from my last cruise. There are also a lot of fun ideas on Pinterest for FE gifts.

P.S. I have no clue how to "quote" a previous thread post!

I'm working on making a facebook group, though I haven't had luck since you need to add a friend to start it from what i did last night, facebook and stupid changes lol.

So if you want a group add me as a friend on facebook and I'll see about getting it started.
