New thread!! Yippee.
DD couldn't stand it cause we were not staying at POP this trip, sooo what do we do?? Of course, we add 2 nights to our stay so we can get our POP fix in before we head over to POR and CSR!
We won't be going to any parks for those 2 days so we will be hanging out at POP just enjoying the resort. Maybe doing some resort hopping to look around and spending a little time at DTD. I am sure we will find plenty to keep us busy next Monday afternoon and Tuesday. Then Wed. morning we will have to say a sad farewell to POP and check in at POR royal room.

We just love the feel of POP! So much fun!

Did you have any problems checking in that late? I would presume there would be few available rooms left by then.

You should have no trouble. They assign rooms before you check in now, so if you note your requests ahead of time, you should be fine.

Making special requests or changes at check-in, however, might be harder.

Our party consists of all adult women. We usually stay Moderate, but we are looking to save some money on our next trip. How would those who take adults only trips rate POP?

We loved it when we stayed in 2011, and we are trying for Pop again in October. We were all adults and this trip it is just going to be me and DH's solo trip. Really enjoyed Pop, I think it's cool to see the stuff in the shadow boxes in the lobby and the themed areas are cool. Looking forward to walking over to AOA to look around. We don't spend much time at the hotel, basically just for a room to sleep in and we are off running. I think of the moderates/deluxes for when you want more than that.

Is there a ping pong table at Pop? Does it get busy? Do we need to bring our own paddles and balls?

Thanks!

I was looking at a menu earlier and I didn't see the mickey waffles for kids anymore I was wondering if anyone can confirm if they are still there?

We added a one night stay at POP onto the beginning of our trip. I am super excited about staying there again, but I am worried about the food court. I've seen lots of negative feedback since they changed the menu. Should we plan on going over to AoA to eat?

From the first post:

"Ping Pong table is located near the Hippy Dippy Pool and the Food Court entrance. You'll find a candy machine-like dispenser at Petals Bar where you get your ping pong ball for $0.50."

As far as I know, they have the paddles there.

Haha, no problem!

Here's a tip: press "ctrl-f" from your browser (assuming you're on a PC), then type in a search term in the box. That's what I did on the first page of the thread, then just typed "ping" to find the info :wizard:

They still had them in June and July and the menu changed May 1. So I would say it's safe to say that they'll still have them when you are there. Enjoy!
I love the Mickey waffles, I get them instead of the big POP waffle! ;)

I LOVE POP!! Have stayed there Tons this year...many nights as a solo traveler! Or with DD! It is a GREAT RESORT even for adults IMO! Now I must say though I don't use the pools or hot tubs (values don't have hot tubs but I wouldn't use them at any level Disney resort since they allow children to use them...I am a bit of a germaphobe!). I will sit out by the pool but I prefer to use my own pool at home. ;)

I've seen the Mickey waffles on the kids menu still, but can you get the adult sized portions Pop Waffle entree and substitute Mickey Waffles?
