Long time planner, first time visitor!

So sad to hear about the young man from Glee. I don't watch that show but it still saddens me.

You might be able to go to kinkos or one of the office supply stores and get your license plate laminated, just call and ask for pricing first as I am not sure of the cost.

Decorating the ponchos sounds fun but I wouldn't want to unwrap them unless yoy have to. They never fold up so small again. Did you say you had a rain cover for the stroller? If not, grab a few extra ponchos to cover the stroller and bring some clothes pins to attach it to the stroller. Hopefully you will never need the ponchos.

Sounds like a good book. I have the same problem, whenever I have a book to read nothing ever gets done and I stay up all night reading.

Love the letters you made for the girls, they are going to be so excited!

Yea, I think laminating will be a little better! I agree about the ponchos, they are surprisingly hard to fold!

Thanks!

So... Sorry I am a bit behind... But did we ever figure out if we are all doing a Dismeet on the 21st in MK? Since Suzi and I will be there, and so will you... I don't have it in my notes though - not sure if I just forgot to put it there, or if we didn't plan one. If not, we should... ;)

I have my park plans all posted on the first page of my PTR... How about if I PM you my cell # and we can just text to see if anything works out that day?

I've been having some fun today! I took some time to work on our window decorations! Once I found out that this is a "thing" at Disney, I knew I would have to participate! :thumbsup2

We are staying in the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA, and LM happens to be both mine and my 4 yo's favorite Disney film! So when planning a window I figured I might as well stick with the theme right!?!? :rotfl:

So here you have a "mock up" of our window!

I apologize for the poor quality of the pic, I had some bad lighting...

I don't have the exact measurement's of the AoA windows, of course (though I actually did google it to see if that was available...nerd, I know) so I just looked online at some pics of the windows. I am pretty sure this will fit, but it is all able to be adjusted just in case.

I also intend to go dig up my blue strand of Christmas lights to add to the underwater effect at night! :) I bought some suction hooks to hang the strands of words and I did have 1 question....what can I use to adhere the clipart to the window? I know you can not use tape, but what about that clear sticky putty stuff that teachers use, I know it comes off easy, and doesn't make any marks, what do y'all think? I also figured that I would use command hooks to hang the lights.

If you have any other suggestions please let me know! I love to hear it!

P.S. I am STILL waiting on my special project in the mail!! It was supposed to be here today, so I am hoping it comes tomorrow and I can do a post on it!! Also, no Mickey Mail yet, and tomorrow also marks the 1 month to go mark! :woohoo:

One More Month To Go!!!

I am so excited! Today marks exactly one month until we will be going to Disney World! :yay:

Not only did that fact, in and of itself, make to today a wonderful day, but I also got two great things in the mail today to share with you!!

First off, the thing you KNOW I have been waiting for....
MICKEY MAIL!

I literally was jumping up and down with a huge smile plastered across my face the whole way back from my mailbox this afternoon. My excitement can not be contained! I have already looked through everything and sadly, they did make one mistake. Somehow the extra day I added to the beginning of our trip was lost. My yellow tags for our checked bags have the day after we will be arriving listed on them! :scared1: Luckily, I have already called ME and gotten it all straightened out. They will be mailing me new ones with the proper date that I can expect in 5-7 days...{Phew} You better believe I have already set a notification in my phone to remind me to call back if they are not here in a week!

Also, I really didn't know about all these vouchers you receive! What is the deal with those? I'd love any feedback regarding them, and if you have used any yourself!

Now for my second bit of fun, my little project I had ordered also came today! Passports!!!

I used a very kind person's photobucket images that they share for free! You can find the ones I used here! (Special thanks to Shwymie, whose photos they are!) After copying the photos I simply uploaded the them onto WalMart's photo site. I chose a 4x6 flipbook for our passports and the cost was just under $5 each! What a deal!

I decided to order two, because the sis-in-law, Laci, is obsessed with world cultures and I think she will have a blast collecting stamps as well!

All in all, it feels like a very accomplished day!

Talking about the coupons for various things, like Disney Quest...

That was the only binding I could find that flipped, the rest were like regular books..

one month?!? i'm jealous and excited all at once!! you guys are going to have so much fun! :cheer2:

i'm so glad your mickey mail came (minus the mistake)! i believe i did the happy dance at the mailbox when ours came last time, too. it's so exciting--who cares if the neighbors think you're a crazy person! :rotfl2:

the passports are so cute and i love your window decorations. we've never done them, but i was thinking about looking for those static cling (? the ones that just stick and peel off) ones at the dollar store. they had some princess ones around valentines day, but i didn't buy any then and am kicking myself now! :sad1:

i think that clear putty stuff would work well to hang your things on the window. i don't know if they'd think it was too much like tape, but I've hung stuff on windows and walls with clear contact paper (like you line shelves with). i just stick the picture on it then cut out around the shape leaving about a quarter inch around the picture and stick it up. it peels right off walls and windows with no damage. you could always test it at home first. just an idea, but like i said, they might not like it.

meant to add, about the coupons....when you book a myw package, they are included in that and you can use them if you do something like play in the arcade or go golf or whatever. we didn't end up using any of ours last time, but they are nice to have if you're doing something extra.

Hooray for Mickey Mail!!!
Love the Passports. Totally adorable. And cute window decorations!

I love your Window decorations. We did that for our Christmas trip a few years back because the dollar store had lots of Disney/Christmas window stickers but I think I will have to do it again. I love the idea of the blue christmas lights, so "under the sea"

I like STLMickeyMom's idea about using the contact paper but I'm not sure how it will come off. Before I read that I was thinking you could tie some clear fishing line to the clip art and hang them from the sign you made and maybe add an extra ribbon above your banners to hang the other clip art from??? You could make each length of thread different sizes to get the various heights.

:woohoo::woohoo: Yeah for Mickey Mail and for being under a month until your trip. You must be sooooo excited! Love the Epcot passports too, you are super efficient getting those ordered and delivered so quick. Do you ship them to your house or to the store? It was nice of you to get one for your SIL too.

As for the coupons, we have used the arcade ones before but ending up spending way more money at the arcade. :rotfl: We have never used the others. I am not interested in spending my Disney time playing mini golf or going to a restaurant just for a discount.

I went to Office Max to have my niece and nephew's autograph books bound. They did it while I waited and it was probably under $5 for both books. They could bind it any place I wanted and had various binding styles. You might want to call around to the other office stores, UPS store and FedEx (kinko's) to see what they charge.

Thanks, and I did search everywhere I could think of for window clings!! I used to see Disney ones at the dollar store all the time, so of course when I go looking for them they are not to be found! :confused3 Def keep an eye out for those around the holidays, that's when I usually see them. Good idea on the contact paper!

I paid under $2 just to have them shipped to the house, but you could have them sent to the store as well. They came pretty fast too, I think about 5 days!

So true! I am thinking more for the in-laws, the day me and the hubs do Universal they are just gonna hang out with the kids, so I thought they might like DQ or Mini Golf...

Ahhh, wish I had known about that. If I could do it over I would probably print the passports on card stock and then take them to be bound instead. My one grip about the ones I ordered is that they are basically on photo paper and I am worried about the stamps smudging, not sure what kind of ink they use. I may end up taping a small square of cardstock over the stamp area so it wont smudge before we go....

I saw disney window clings at Best Buy of all places. In with all the impulse buy stuff near registers.

Ack!!!! I was super excited to try your bleach shirts... And then I messed them up. :( My first mistake is that I didn't use freezer paper - instead I used iron on stabilizer... Second - I think I sprayed on too much bleach. :/

So, I plan to buy freezer paper today... Tell me which side you iron on to the shirt - is the the waxy side or the paper side... I assume it's the waxy side - but after last night, I want to be sure. LOL

Soooo.... Now I need to figure out a way to fix this shirt... I did 5 items on it, the far left one is very blurry because the bleach seeped, then next one over is better and the remaining 3 are perfect... DH says that they are fine and no one will notice but me... LOL

I will try to post pictures in my PTR later today. :)
